Abstract: A handling unit (10) comprises a loop gripper module (11) and a clamping device (12), which has a frictionally engaged connection with the sliders (24-33) of the loop gripper module (11). The sliders (24-33) are lightly clamped in corresponding slots of the clamping device and cannot, even if shaken, slip against one another and in particular they also cannot slide out of the loop gripper module (11). Thus, the sliders are all at the same position, and need not be moved back by hand during mounting. For example, in order to remove clamping device, which is in the form of a plastic clip, the clamping device need only be pressed onto the loop gripper module or be pulled away from the loop gripper module. When this force is applied, the plastic clip is lifted from the sliders (24-33) in a rotating movement.
Abstract: The invention relates to a gripper for a tufting machine, which has a gripper body and an insert. In the longitudinal direction, the gripper has a holding section and a guiding section. At the end further away from the holding section, in the longitudinal direction, the guiding section terminates in a hook which has an inner side in which a joint gap is arranged between the gripper body and the insert. According to the invention, the gripper is characterised in that a stop means, against which the insert abuts in the longitudinal direction towards the holding section, is arranged on the gripper body in the gripper's guiding section in order to limit the size of the joint gap in the inner side of the hook.
Abstract: The pile cutter 10 according to the invention allows tufted goods to be produced using materials which, for example, have a friction-reducing coating for forming a dirt-repellant surface that is soft to the touch. Such materials are known to be problematic in the production of pile and occasionally irregular pile is produced. Adjacent to the narrow cutting edge 25 of the pile cutter 10 according to the invention is a comparatively broader step 27 and 33, which prevents the loop from slipping, without cutting into the latter.

Abstract: A gripper (3) for a tufting machine comprises a gripper body (9) having a cutout (22) for a cutting insert (10), said cutting insert preferably consisting of a hard metal. Connecting means acting in a form-closed manner are provided for the connection of the cutting insert (10) with the gripper body (9). In their simplest embodiment, said connecting means are formed by the deformation regions (37, 38) that are provided on the gripper body (9) and that reach around matching cutouts (33, 34) of the cutting insert (10).
