Dished Or Mushroom Type Patents (Class 114/300)
  • Patent number: 10227122
Abstract: The invention relates to a swimming and diving aid with a vehicle hull on which a user lies or stands, with a flow channel which is arranged in the vehicle hull and which accommodates a propeller driven by an electric motor with radially outwardly directed propeller blades mounted on a base part of the propeller, wherein the electric motor has a rigidly arranged motor stator and a rotating rotor, which is spatially assigned to the motor stator. Provision is made that the rotor of the electric motor is coupled directly or indirectly to at least one outer end of at least one propeller blade, and that the motor stator is arranged circumferentially around the rotor at least in sections. The motor arrangement permits a dynamic drive of the swimming and diving aid.

  • Patent number: 7143712
Abstract: An anchor system has two anchor members pivotally connected and spaced apart head to tail. The anchor member tied to the line is larger than the terminal anchor. The tail of the tethered anchor member rests on the head of the terminal anchor member to stabilize the anchor system when it is deployed and resting on the bottom of a body of water.

  • Patent number: 5852985
Abstract: An anchor for personal watercraft provides a generally cylindrical housing closed at a top end and enclosing a concavity formed through the opposite, bottom, diametral end. The opening of the concavity is defined by a circumferential edge of the housing, and may be further shaped or formed with a circumferential edge or with a central and/or a plurality of circumferential spikes to readily engage with any of a variety of materials found on the floor of a water body or beach. A weight may be removably attached to either the top side or within the concavity at the bottom side of the anchor, thereby functioning as additional ballast as may be necessary to overcome natural buoyancy of any air trapped in the concavity when the anchor is lowered into an anchoring position, or to overcome heavier seas.

  • Patent number: 5720235
Abstract: An anchor is provided with a base, shaft, and fastening element in the shaft for securing a line to the anchor. The base includes a plurality of outwardly facing, shovel-like indentations defined by a plurality of generally smooth, concave scooping surfaces on the top of the base. Between each shovel-like indentation is a ridge extending radially outward from the center of the base and terminating at one of the corners of base. The shovel-like indentations enable the anchor, when resting on one of its sides, to dig into the bottom of a body of water at a more upright angle and without as much tilt as prior anchors. The ridges enable the anchor to dig in to the lake-bed much like a plow when the anchor rests on one of its corners. The slope of the scooping surface in each indentation facilitates removal of mud and other debris during movement of the anchor through the water.

  • Patent number: 5555670
Abstract: An anchor includes an anchor or weighted portion shaped to engage the bottom of a body of water. An upstanding shank in the form of a hollow cylinder extends from the anchor portion. The interior of the cylinder defines a bait compartment to receive a quantity of fish-attracting material. A removable cap closes the hollow shank to secure the fish-attracting material in the bait compartment. A ring is secured to the shank for attachment to an anchor line or chain. The shank is provided with at least one perforation to permit the fish-attracting material to mix with water surrounding the anchor.

  • Patent number: 4927395
Abstract: A combined buoy and anchor device for fishermen comprises a buoy body with a hollow interior and having its upper and closeable by a lid, a reel rotatably mounted in the buoy body and to which is secured the inner end of a cable, and an anchor connected to an outer end of the cable. The anchor includes a shank and a plate detachable from the shank, the plate and the lid having interengaging formations so that the plate can be retained in place on the lid. The buoy preferably includes a generally cylindrical upper portion surrounding the hollow interior, and a reel-containing lower portion separated from the upper portion by a wall. The hollow interior of the buoy can be used for holding bait or tackle.
