  • Patent number: 10450036
Abstract: A portable canopy for use with a boat having a covered helm and at least two fishing rod holders mounted thereto. The portable canopy employs a first tubular shaped support member having a proximal end securable to a rod holder found on a fishing boat. A second tubular shaped support member having a proximal end is secured to a second rod holder, adjacent to, but spaced apart from, the first support member. The first and second support members are secured to the rod holders by use of locking pins. A spreader bar is attached to the distal end of each said support member, forming a rigid frame between the support members and the rod holders. A fabric cover extends between the support members, providing shade to the occupants beneath the canopy.

  • Patent number: 10011326
Abstract: A boat lift with hydraulically or mechanically actuated arms which self-installs a fitted three-dimensional boat cover on a powerboat. The control logic of the system allows for cover operation only when the lift is raised. A spring-tensioned roller keeps the cover tight and self-rolls the cover on the roller when the actuated arms are pivoted forward. The roller is hidden behind the boat in ‘cover-on’ position. A slip clutch prevents the torsion spring from being over tightened. The forward position of the roller is adjusted by adjusting the hydraulic cylinder length. The rearward position of the roller is adjusted by limiting the retracted position of the hydraulic cylinder. A non-hydraulic embodiment actuates the cover when the lift is operated.

The processor receives requests for delivery of goods or services and transmits the delivery request to a provider along with information regarding the processor location. The provider provides the requested goods or services. The station also is provided with a mechanism to couple the solar canopy to a battery, which may be a vehicle battery such as an electric car or electric scooter. The solar canopy would provide electrical energy either directly to the battery or through a power conditioner and, optionally, a storage facility. The solar canopy, storage facility, or power conditioner may be provided to power equipment associated with providing services such as, for example, power refrigeration units or freezer units to allow delivery of perishable and frozen goods.

  • Patent number: 9227699
Abstract: A pontoon boat includes a cover assembly. A front cover section has a front cover area defined by a perimeter thereof and is slidable relative to the central cover section between a retracted position and an extended position. An aft cover section has an aft cover area defined by a perimeter thereof and is slidable relative to the central cover section between a retracted position and an extended position. When in the extended position, the cover assembly defines a perimeter having a length dimension and a width dimension generally matching the length and width dimensions of the perimeter defined by the pontoon's sidewalls. The cover assembly is vertically movable between an up position where the cover assembly is elevated above head level, and a down position where the cover assembly is positioned on the sidewalls to cover an area inside the perimeter defined by the sidewalls.

  • Patent number: 9221528
Abstract: A wake tower for a powerboat for use in wakeboarding or other water sports is described. The wake tower can include base members attached to the powerboat and a U-shaped bar extending generally upwardly from the base members. The side bars can be tapered inward and can also be angled toward the bow of the powerboat. Support members can be positioned along the side bars to provide increased structural support to increase the maximum load of the wake tower and to increase the rigidity of the wake tower resulting in less shaking during use. A tow cross bar having a tow rope connector can be suspended generally between the side bars of the wake tower. The wake tower can be transitioned between an upright position and a lowered position.

Abstract: A passenger boat configured for interactively shielding passengers from incoming water. The boat includes a hull with seats for receiving passengers and a rider interactive assembly with an input element for receiving input from the passengers. The boat also includes a water shield supported on the hull and an actuation system operating in response to the input from the passengers to move the water shield from a first position to a second position relative to the seats. In some cases, the water shield is mounted on the hull to travel within a channel extending about a perimeter of the hull located on an outboard side of the seats. Then, the water shield may include a wall that extends substantially vertically from the channel.

Abstract: A boat includes a hull having an aft stern hatch located in an inner aft compartment of the aforesaid hull, the hatch having a body with opposing flanks or sides pivoted on the hull, and upper and lower edges. The hatch includes pivot members associated with the flanks or sides in the proximity of the upper edge and in the proximity of the lower edge, the pivot members being movable towards the inside and towards the outside of these flanks so they can protrude from the flanks in combination or alternatively to each other, thereby allowing the hatch to assume, alternatively, a position in which it is closed on to the compartment, a first position of opening to an upper part of the hull, or a second position of opening to a lower part of the hull.
