Abstract: A trolling assembly structured to protect at least a portion of a fishing line from water-borne debris while trolling in a body of water from a boat includes a first positioning assembly attached to the boat and being adjustable to facilitate positioning the portion of the fishing line in a first predetermined spaced relation to the boat, and a second positioning assembly interconnected to the first positioning assembly and being positionable to facilitate positioning the portion of the fishing line in a second predetermined spaced relation to the boat. The trolling assembly also includes a shield assembly, interconnected to the second positioning assembly, which is structured to releasably retain the portion of the fishing line below a surface of the body of water while trolling, and to protect at least the portion of the fishing line from water-borne debris while trolling.

Abstract: This invention is directed to a fishing rod holder having a generally annular mounting bezel which generally surrounds the mouth of a tube for receiving the butt of a fishing rod. The underside of the mounting bezel includes at least one blind hole or projecting mounting stud for receiving a fastener for mounting the rod holder without penetrating the exposed surface of the mounting bezel, providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance. A rod engaging member or pin engages grooves in the butt of a rod, allowing it to swivel. The amount of resistance of the rod engaging member or pin to swivel motion can be adjusted.

Abstract: A device for converting an otherwise conventional personal watercraft or into a fishing vessel having an assembly unit releasably secured to said personal watercraft. The assembly unit having rod holders, electronics mounts, and interchangeable attachment clamps specifically designed to mount to the hull of a specific personal watercraft. A stabilizing system is also provided to stabilize the personal watercraft when traveling through the water.

Abstract: An accessory platform for fishing rods, light bars, flag masts and similar accessories often used on small boats and watercraft is secured to a mooring cleat by means of an underslung clamping bar having a transversely positioned anchor finger or fork. The anchor finger is positioned to penetrate the arch between cleat legs. The clamping bar is then raised against the cleat arch bight by rotation of a suspension screw.

Abstract: Disclosed is water craft providing inventive features to achieve a double-decked vessel having: a.) substantially continuous, flat and open upper deck; b.) a substantially continuous and fiat lower deck with an enclosed fore section and an exposed aft section forming a swim deck; and c.) a system of collapsible bulwarks in the upper and swim decks that permit: the vessel to transition from a traditional configuration (better suited for travel) to an open configuration (better suit for entertainment activities while stationary).

Abstract: A flush mount fishing rod holder has a tubular rod holding tube adapted to be received through an opening in a panel of a watercraft, a mounting flange surrounding the top end the rod holding tube. An attachment member on the upper surface of the mounting flange has an upwardly extending curved portion defining a pad eye opening therebetween and an attachment point for connecting a flexible tether line attached to a fishing rod supported in the holder or to other onboard to items to maintain it tethered to the watercraft and prevent accidental loss of the rod or other item should it be dropped or pulled overboard or the watercraft overturns.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to an apparatus and method of transferring seismic equipment to and from a marine vessel and subsurface location. In one embodiment, a marine vessel is provided. The marine vessel includes a deck having a plurality of seismic sensor devices stored thereon, two remotely operated vehicles, each comprising a seismic sensor storage compartment, and a seismic sensor transfer device comprising a container for transfer of one or more of the seismic sensor devices from the vessel to the sensor storage compartment of at least one of the two remotely operated vehicles.

Abstract: A net holster holds fishing nets outside a boat and out of the way of anglers inside the boat. The net holster of the present invention has over 100 adjustable positions to keep the net out of the way. The net holster can keep a net in place outside the boat of speeds of at least 30 miles per hour. The net holster of the present invention is designed to hold most nets. A universal clamp and a tie down clamp enable the net holster to fasten to a variety of marine vessels with very little effort.

Abstract: An aquatic sport board includes a top portion and a bottom portion. The bottom portion is coupled to the top portion by a first side portion and a second side potion. The first portion and the second portion taper inward towards a front portion and a rear portion of the top and bottom portions. Recessed areas are situated on the top portion and extend inward towards the bottom portion. A plurality of sections is situated between the top portion and the bottom portion. Each section in the plurality of sections is sealed off from one another.

Abstract: A water walking apparatus having a pair of inflatable pontoons with footwells at their center, allowing user to step into. The pontoons are connected together by stretch cords and a platform that allows the user to sit and rest after walking on the water. The platform has a ladder inside the cavity of the platform assisting the user to get on the apparatus from water. Pontoons have pockets at bottom for scoops, the scoops pass over water freely when pontoons are going forward, and drop down into water when opposite pontoon is going forward. When scoops are down into water they reduce the backward movement of pontoon. The front ends of pontoons are up and out of water like the bow on a boat. The apparatus can come apart for easy storing and transporting.

Abstract: A combined fishing rod and beverage holder for insertion into and removal from an opening in a marine vessel is disclosed. The combined fishing rod and beverage holder includes a substantially tubular hollow cylindrical member which is formed with an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion has a diameter which is larger than the diameter of the lower portion. The diameter of the upper portion enables a beverage container with or without an insulating jacket to be placed within and retained within the upper portion of the combined rod and beverage holder. The upper portion includes an outwardly projecting flange which includes apertures through which fasteners can be placed to secure the combined rod and beverage holder to a surface, such as a gunwale of a marine vessel. Other types or secure devices can also be employed to secure the combined rod and beverage holder to any surface.

Abstract: A water sports tower is pivotably attached to a watercraft through an articulating base structure. A joint is supplied joining lower ends of uprights of the tower to gunwales of the watercraft. The joints are configured to join each of the lower ends of the uprights through the joint to the gunwale. The joint includes a follower element opposite a reference element with the reference fixed to the gunwale of the watercraft and the follower element fixed to the lower ends of the uprights of the tower. A pair of links, including a short link and a long link, join portions of the reference and portions of the follower. A driver is preferably provided between at least two of the elements of the joint, such as between the follower and the reference. The driver can supply an additional force to assist in raising and lowering of the tower relative to the watercraft.

Abstract: A towing apparatus comprises a structural assembly extending between opposing first and second bases for pivoting between operating and stored positions. A locking assembly includes a pin in each base and a hook carried at opposing ends of the structural assembly. A cam is pivotally connected to the hook for movement between locked and released positions. In the locked position, the hook is secured to the pin for preventing rotation of the structural assembly. In the released position, the hook is spaced from the pin to permit rotation of the structural assembly. The hook is rotatable with the cam from the released position to adjacent the pin by rotation of a shaft and slidable along the pin into the locking position by a continued shaft rotation. A cable is attached between the base and a spring within the structural assembly for biasing the structural assembly toward the operating position.

Abstract: A pontoon boat including a plurality of pontoons and a deck secured to the pontoons. A wall assembly is anchored to and extends upwardly from the deck to provide an interior space of the deck for accommodating passengers. The pontoon boat includes a substantially enclosed storage space defined at least in part by a portion of the deck and a portion of the wall assembly. The wall assembly has a bottom edge that is spaced off of the deck to provide a first air access opening into the storage space from beneath the wall. At least one vent is provided in the wall portion at a location spaced above the bottom edge and in open communication with the storage space. The vent enhances air flow and venting of the storage space.

A pedestal is disposed on the deck at least in part rearwardly of the handlebar. A support structure bears the helm assembly. The support structure surrounds at least in part the steering column. The support structure has at least one rear connection portion connected to the pedestal. The support structure has at least one front connection arm connected to at least one of the deck and the hull forwardly from the at least one rear connection portion. A watercraft with a deck having at least two portions is also presented.

Abstract: A personal watercraft includes a hull, a deck disposed above the hull, and a seat supported on the deck. The deck includes a platform disposed at a stern of the personal watercraft, an outer wall disposed between the seat and the platform, and an inner wall disposed forward relative to the outer wall. The outer wall defines an opening accessible to an article storage space provided between the outer wall and the inner wall. The outer wall includes a lid arranged to open and close the opening.

Abstract: A casting platform apparatus for a fishing boat includes a frame which can be attached to the bow of a boat. The frame has a floor to allow a fisherman to be supported thereon and includes both a handrail and a body support rail along with a fishing line collection net therebetween and a gate for entering onto and off the casting platform.

Abstract: A pontoon boat fender comprises a shell portion with a hollow interior and a bumper portion slidably received in the shell portion hollow interior. The bumper portion is movable between a navigating position and a docking position. In the navigating position, the bumper portion is retracted into the shell portion hollow interior. In the docking position, the bumper portion is extended from the shell portion hollow interior. The shell portion has a tab adjacent to a longitudinal end of the shell portion and a hook adjacent to a longitudinally opposite end of the shell portion. The tab and hook cooperate with each other to enable securing the boat fender to a fence and deck of the pontoon boat.

Abstract: A system and apparatus for providing modular configurable marine utility vessels which allow for selective arrangement, quick release, and rapid rearrangement of deck components such as the console, seating, military and utility equipment, and accessory items. The vessel includes a plurality of deck modules which form one or more deck platforms. The deck module includes an upper deck section and a lower frame section, the upper deck sections have channels for receiving and interlocking with the lower frame sections. The deck modules also include numerous hardware fittings which form a geometric grid pattern that allows for numerous distinct deck layouts for equipment depending on desired missions or end uses.

Abstract: A support assembly has upper, lower and top-most plates. The upper and lower plates each have interior and exterior ends. The plates each have upper and lower surfaces and a plurality of upper, lower and top-most plate holes. Left and right fingers extend downwardly from the upper and lower plates at an angle from the vertical. Two laterally spaced pole-holding tubes are secured to and extend upwardly from the top-most plate. Each tube has an upper end with a short vertical slot for receiving a reel of a fishing rod. A motor mounting board is positioned on and extends upwardly from the upper surface of the lower plate adjacent to the exterior end.

Abstract: A wake tower for a powerboat for use in wakeboarding or other water sports is described. The wake tower can include base members attached to the powerboat and a U-shaped bar extending generally upwardly from the base members. The side bars can be tapered inward and can also be angled toward the bow of the powerboat. Support members can be positioned along the side bars to provide increased structural support to increase the maximum load of the wake tower and to increase the rigidity of the wake tower resulting in less shaking during use. A tow cross bar having a tow rope connector can be suspended generally between the side bars of the wake tower. The wake tower can be transitioned between an upright position and a lowered position. Shocks can be used to compensate for some of the weight of the wake tower to allow the wake tower to be raised and lowered with less effort by the user.

Abstract: Apparatus mountable to a boat tower or pylon used to tow a skier, water boarder, tuber or rafter including an elongated arm pivotally mounted to the boat tower or pylon, a tow rope post fixed to the arm and including a tether guide ring through which a tow rope may be threaded and a mounting member to which one end of the tow rope may be secured. The apparatus will also include a sensor that detects the change in position of the tow rope post from a predetermined fixed position caused by the lateral movement of the person being towed. The elongated arm may have speaker and/or light mounts to fix speakers and/or lights to the elongated arm in a position to track the movements of the towed person and may further include a securing means to fix the elongated arm in a given position.

Abstract: A telescopic pedestal for electronics, such as fish-finders, that advantageously elevates the fish-finder to a convenient height above the deck level and gives the fisherman the ability to view and operate the device while fishing in a standing position, yet lower it so as conveniently position the fish-finder to be out of the way for travel or when not in use.

Abstract: A telescoping boat railing including a rod having a first end with a fastener and a second end that telescopes relative to an opening in a hollow top rail of a boat. The top rail is supported horizontally by one of a plurality of vertical support members of a railing for the boat, which railing defines an opening for accessing the boat. Across the railing opening from the fastener is a receptacle formed co-linearly with the fastener and extending from a horizontal portion of the top of the railing. The rod is pulled out of the opening in the top rail in the direction of the receptacle and is removably attached by connecting the fastener and the receptacle. To return the rod to its nested position, the fastener is disconnected from the receptacle, and the rod is telescoped back into its nesting position in the hollow of the top rail.

The fastening device also includes a cord inserted through the through hole, the cord defining a cord first end and a cord second end, the cord first end disposed on a side of the through hole corresponding to the first opening, the cord second end disposed on a side of the through hole corresponding to the second opening. The cord first end is looped over the tube first end of the tube.

Abstract: A foldaway balcony comprises a platform structure tiltably mounted on a wall and a rail structure mounted to the platform structure. The platform structure comprises a box-like support structure and a planar floor structure which are tiltable relative to the wall separately from each other. The rail structure comprises a plurality of rail elements, which are hinged at the edge of the support structure of the platform structure, and are tiltable between a stored position, in which they lay within the support structure, and a deployed position, in which they stand relative to the support structure. When the platform structure moves from the closed position to the open position, first the support structure is tilted, then the rail elements move from the stored position to the deployed position, and finally the floor structure is tilted.

Abstract: A pontoon boat including a first wall segment and a second wall segment. The first and second wall segments are arranged end-to-end to present a joint therebetween. A joint cover formed as a separate piece from the first and second wall segments bridges across and substantially conceals the joint. A transition feature, such as a decal, is disposed on one of the wall segments adjacent to the cover. The transition feature including a first color zone, a second color zone and a transition zone is disposed on one of the wall segments adjacent the joint cover.

Abstract: An adapter plate enables a fishing rod holder bracket to be attached to a downrigger mounting plate, enabling the downrigger mounting plate to be used as a fishing rod support for non-downrigged fishing. In at least one embodiment, the adapter plate includes a shelf that extends beyond a boundary of the downrigger mounting plate, the shelf enabling an electric rod motor to be supported. In at least one embodiment, a threaded rod engages the shelf and the electric rod motor, enabling the elected rod motor to be supportingly spaced apart from the shelf.

Abstract: A removable console for a boat and a boat including such a removable console are disclosed. The removable console is adapted to be positioned before a passenger seating position in the boat to shield the passenger position from wind. The connection between the deck of the boat and the removable console is fastenerless, so as to facilitate easy installation and replacement. The console itself may be enclosed, with both upper and lower surfaces.

The first section has a plurality of mounting apertures therein and is positionable between a tie cleat and a boat hull. A plurality of fasteners is extendable through the cleat and the apertures and into the boat hull to retain the first section on the boat hull so that the second section is positioned below the first section and extends outwardly from the boat hull into an interior area of the boat hull. The second section has a holder aperture extending therethrough. The holder aperture is configured to removably receive a rod holder. The second section has a plurality of attachment apertures extending therethrough. A plurality of securing members is extended through the rod holder and the attachment apertures to releasably secure the rod holder to the second section.

Abstract: A boat tower conversion kit for converting from a half tower to a full tower without the need for complete removal and/or destruction of the original half tower. A custom hard top incorporates a central core platform with several integral reinforcing plates. The plates provide structural support for the later expansion of the half tower by adding the upper tower section and upper platform(s). Leg members and ladder members of the upper and lower tower sections automatically mate with one-another in coaxial alignment, and are structurally secured to one-another through the interfacing integral reinforcing plates. Integral channels, wiring conduits and tubes provide for electrical wiring, electrical and mechanical components in conjunction with the custom platform core.

Abstract: An accessory attachment clip for watercraft, attached to the watercraft without tools or hardware, and formed of a molded plastic or hard rubber first portion for fastening to the watercraft, and a second portion for attaching an accessory or accessory holder. The second portion is sized so as to be expanded when being positioned on the gunnels and to contract for an accurate fit. A set screw assists in securing the second portion. The accessory holder may be for a fishing rod or drinking cup. The clip may be attached to the gunnels by expanding the clip, sliding the clip over the gunnels, and releasing the clip. The set screw may be fastened to further secure the clip. The clip may be produced by forming within a mold, the plastic or hard rubber first portion, and the second portion. The set screw may be included in the molding process.

In one embodiment, a mounting apparatus is provided for selectively securing an accessory to a structural portion of a boat. The apparatus has a housing that is configured for coupling to the structural portion of the boat, and a mounting element that is at least partially disposed in the housing. The mounting element is movable relative to the housing between a retracted position and an extended position above the structural portion. The mounting element is rotatable about the axis.

Abstract: A configuration for the deck of a marine vessel, wherein parallel and perpendicular travel paths, for movement of individual OBS unit storage baskets, are formed along a deck utilizing, in part, the storage baskets themselves. A portion of the deck is divided into a grid defined by a series of low-to-the-deck perpendicular and parallel rails and each square in the grid is configured to hold an OBS unit storage basket. Around the perimeter of the grid is an external containment wall which has a greater height than the rails. Storage baskets seated within the grid are configured to selectively form internal containment walls. Opposing internal and external containment walls define travel paths along which a storage basket can be moved utilizing a low, overhead gantry. A basket need only be lifted a minimal height above the deck in order to be moved along a path. The containment walls and the deck itself constraining uncontrolled swinging of baskets, even in onerous weather or sea conditions.

Abstract: An anchoring system for a boat includes a pair of anchor fixtures, each having a base and a tube carried by and extending across the base. A first of the anchor fixtures is mountable proximate the peripheral edge of the vessel with the tube oriented to extend in a generally horizontal direction. The other, second anchor fixture is mounted exteriorly to the transom of other surface of the hull such that the longitudinal axis of the tube extends generally vertically. The first anchor fixture accommodates an adjustable pole holder that has a stem for selectively engaging with the first anchor fixture to provide anchoring, transporting and stowed conditions. A sleeve is interconnected angularly to the stem for holding a first pole, which may be operated by adjusting the pole holder to engage the bottom of the body of water. A second pole is received by the tube of the second anchor fixture to likewise engage the bottom of the body of water such that the boat is anchored thereto.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a watercraft attachment device for joining two watercrafts comprising: a pair of parallel tubes, where said parallel tubes are substantially parallel to the watercrafts; a pair of perpendicular tubes, where said perpendicular tubes are substantially perpendicular to the two parallel tubes and adjoin the parallel tubes; four abutting corners, where the four abutting corners are formed by the intersecting tubes; a plurality of hook attachments extending from the each corner, where said hook attachments extend over a lip of each cockpit within the watercrafts to connect the watercrafts to the watercraft attachment device; and at least one tension cord extending from each corner, where said tensioning cords tighten the hook attachments to secure the watercraft attachment device in place.

Abstract: A personal watercraft paddle mounting system includes a personal watercraft that has a hull and a top wall attached to the hull. The hull includes an aft portion and a bow portion. The top wall has an opening therein to receive a person. The opening is positioned between the aft and bow portions. A sleeve extends into the top wall adjacent to a forward edge of the opening between the opening and the bow portion. A mount is removably positioned in the sleeve and extends upwardly therefrom. A coupler is attached to the mount and is engageable with a double ended paddle to allow the paddle to rest on the mount while ends of the paddle are engageable with water to propel the personal watercraft.

Abstract: A hydration system for kayak integration includes a deck port configured to allow fluid passage through a deck of a kayak. The system includes a reservoir having an internal sealable compartment configured to contain a liquid under pressure. The reservoir has a first port configured to receive pressurizing gasses into the compartment, a second port, and a third port through which the liquid can be supplied into the compartment. A transfer tube couples the reservoir to the deck port. The transfer tube has a first end configured to be coupled to the second port of the reservoir and a second end configured to be coupled to the deck port at a position within an interior space of the kayak. A pressurizer is configured to be coupled to the first port of the reservoir. The pressurizer is operable to supply the pressurizing gasses. A drinking tube has a first end with a valve and a second end. The second end is configured to be coupled to the deck port at a position exterior to the kayak.

The top rail is supported horizontally by one of a plurality of vertical support members of a railing for the boat, which railing defines an opening for accessing the boat. Across the railing opening from the fastener is a receptacle formed co-linearly with the fastener and extending from a horizontal portion of the top of the railing. The rod is pulled out of the opening in the top rail in the direction of the receptacle and is removably attached by connecting the fastener and the receptacle. To return the rod to its nested position, the fastener is disconnected from the receptacle, and the rod is telescoped back into its nesting position in the hollow of the top rail.
