Elevator Position Patents (Class 116/226)
  • Patent number: 10040668
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for adjusting landing door rollers in an elevator comprising at least an elevator car having at least a car door, a door operating assembly and a landing door coupler with its two vanes, and the elevator comprising an elevator shaft equipped with a landing door at each landing level. For adjusting the landing door rollers the mutual horizontal distance of the vanes of the landing door coupler is copied mechanically into the location further up in the elevator car than the location of the vanes.

  • Publication number: 20090223434
Abstract: A lift system including a visual indicator device (for example, an LED indicator light) in data communication with travel limit switches so that tripping of the travel limit switches (or at least the travel limit switches that are manually set by a human assembler) will cause the visual indictor device to make a visual indication that can be readily observed by the human assembler. The visual indication of the present indication can helpfully replace the conventional method of listening for a click during the step of setting the location of the travel limit switch when the lift system is initially set up by a human assembler. Instead of listening for a click, the assembler can watch for a visual indication by the visual indicator device, such as the lighting of an LED. this can make the assembler's job easier and can facilitate quicker and more reliable setting of the location of travel limit switches in the lift system.

  • Patent number: 5460118
Abstract: A modular signal device which fills the need of the elevator industry for differing types of signal devices wherein a surface mounted base plate includes turned up small ends, with a cover ring surrounding the base plate and utilizing a bolt at one small end and an adjusting screw on the other small end to rearwardly retain the turned up ends, with the cover ring including an inner collar which carries and retains a cover plate, with the cover plate including at least one opening and concentrically arranged second threaded bolts in order to receive switching elements such a push buttons, with first threaded bolts serving to attach the cover plate onto the collar of the cover ring. In further embodiments, the cover plate takes the form of lenses with filters, grids or arrow masks which serve to outwardly convey the signals produced by the signal devices attached to the collar.

  • Patent number: 4280205
Abstract: The height to which the forks of a lift truck are raised is measured by an ultrasonic height measuring arrangement including a downward facing transmitting transducer, positioned on the truck platform in fixed position with respect to the forks, and a downward facing ultrasonic receiving transducer which receives ultrasonic acoustic energy waves reflected by an upward facing parabolic reflector. The receiving transducer is positioned in a casing substantially at the focal point of the parabolic reflector and is mounted by means of springs which provide vibration isolation between the casing and the transducer.
