Frequency Tuner Type Patents (Class 116/241)
  • Publication number: 20090233739
Abstract: A marker stake for locating a boundary reference point on a sports field can be buried and out of sight when not in use, and then quickly located using an electronic receiver which detects a signal emitted by an electronic marker in the marker stake. Various field boundary indicators can be removably attached to the marker stake. The stake may be embodied in a cylindrical body constructed of a moldable polymer with a socket at one end for receiving a pin or post of the field boundary indicator, and the electronic marker embedded inside the body. The electronic marker may be a passive LC marker tuned to a frequency associated with a known field sport. Different sets of such marker stakes tuned to different frequencies may be used to mark and relocate reference points for multiple sports played on the same field.

  • Patent number: 4428322
Abstract: An indicator mechanism in a pushbutton tuner characterized in that there is provided a front plate horizontally extending from the top end of the tuner casing. The front plate is integrally formed with two-stepped protrusions, the lower one of which is inserted in a central bore of a slidable plate mounted on the front plate so that the slidable plate can pivot about the lower protrusion as an axis. The indicator mechanism further comprising a plate spring having an open rectangular configuration for seizing the front plate between its upper and lower plates. The plate spring is also formed with a through bore in its upper plate for receiving the upper protrusion of the front plate. The front plate is further formed with projections as high as the lower protrusion by which the upper plate of the plate spring is supported.

  • Patent number: 4201148
Abstract: A pointer and scale indicating assembly for a radio receiver is disclosed. A scale with indicia thereon is fixed to a radio receiver chassis and a pointer arm is movably mounted in the chassis to positions corresponding to the frequency to which the radio receiver is tuned. A resilient pointer rod is mounted on the pointer arm and has an end portion visually cooperating with the scale indicia to indicate the receiver frequency. The pointer rod is hand insertable onto the pointer arm and is attached thereto by having an end portion of the pointer rod cooperating with a raised surface and a holding projection of the pointer arm.
