Abstract: A system for sound generation and noise feedback is disclosed for attachment to a bicycle training wheel. The system includes a plurality of sound generators attachable by a means for fastening to a rotatable surface of the training wheel. • Patent number: 6374767
Abstract: A railroad car-warning bell is centrally mounted on the hub of a wheel. Three opposed cylinder housings each contain a reciprocating ball which hits an end hammer to sound the bell when the wheel turns slowly up to speeds of nominally 15 mph. At higher speeds the balls are held against the end hammers, thereby automatically shutting off the bell to prevent noise pollution. The preferred embodiment has a single cylinder mounted along a diameter of the ringing bell. Three steel balls oscillate back and forth hitting a hammer at each end of the cylinder. A dampener may be used to adjust the ring of the bell.

  • Patent number: 4635583
Abstract: A skid detector is mountable for rotation with a vehicle wheel to enable a driver of the vehicle, especially a tractor trailer, to observe a condition wherein the tire is skidding. The detector comprises a strip mountable to a hub of the vehicle and includes a pair of legs projecting outwardly beyond the plane of the tire side wall so as to be observable when the tire is viewed in a direction transversely of the rotary axis thereof. • Patent number: 4317424
Abstract: A pivotal crank is positioned with respect to the output cam of a torque limiter such that upon torque limiter operation the resulting translation of the cam pivots the crank. Attached to the crank is a flag arm which is normally retained by a spring clip. Pivotal motion of the crank causes disengagement of the flag arm from the spring clip thereby indicating torque limiter operation. The flag arm remains in the disengaged position, despite subsequent absence of limiter operation, until it is manually reset.
