Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for forming a composite membrane with a porous coating layer. At first, a filling process is carried out to fill the pores of a porous substrate with a liquid. Next, a raw material is transformed into melt or incomplete melt droplets by a heating source and the droplets are sprayed to the surface of the porous substrate filled with the liquid. The liquid is evaporated by the high temperature droplets and plasma flame to become vapor and the vapor breaks through the droplets to have the droplets sputter into different blocks to thereby form random and dispersed flat particles after cooled. Flat particles are formed and stacked continuously so as to form a composite membrane with a porous coating layer. Moreover, the invention provides an apparatus for forming a composite membrane with a porous coating layer.

The chemical liquid supply nozzle is provided with a cutoff valve and a suction unit that sucks chemical liquid to a suction flow path at a nozzle main body connected to a front end of flow path member. Accordingly, the chemical liquid remaining at the downstream side of the cutoff valve after the chemical liquid is discharged, is sucked toward the upstream side of the cutoff valve and removed, to thereby suppress the drying and solidifying process of the chemical liquid at the chemical liquid flow path. Also, there is no need to block the chemical liquid flow path by sucking thinner at the downstream side of chemical liquid flow path, and the number of dummy dispense may be reduced, thereby reducing an overall operation cost of the process.

The high velocity air encounters freshly dispensed adhesive at the nozzle tip and causes it to leave the tip in a back-forth manner to result in a scribble pattern on the substrate. The scribble pattern's width is well defined. It is determined primarily by side to side placement of the nozzles in the applicator head at about the adhesive band width desired.

The fluid is blown to the substrate, thereby forming a silicon-containing solid film or a hydrocarbon-containing solid film on the substrate.

Abstract: To clean an atomizer used for automatic series-production coating of work pieces in a cleaning device provided for this purpose, the outer housing of the atomizer is sprayed by nozzles of the cleaning device, while simultaneously painting and rinsing agents sprayed by the spray head of the atomizer in a short rinsing process are captured and discharged through a pipe section in the interior of the cleaning device. In electrostatic atomizers, voltage equalization between the atomizer and the cleaning device is performed beforehand. Through additional measures, the atomizer can be moved by the handling machine provided for this purpose only from one proper direction towards the cleaning device.

Abstract: In a method for the cold-gas spraying of particles having different solidities and/or ductilities and in a cold-gas spraying device (11) suitable for use in with the method, in order to obtain a comparatively high proportion of particles (23) having higher solidity and/or smaller ductility in comparison to the other particles (22), these particles are fed into an area (21) of the stagnation chamber (15) of the cold-gas spraying device which is very distant from the nozzle (14). Advantageously, the particles (23) have to cover a longer course through the stagnation chamber and are thus preheated. In this way, the deposition of these particles (23) on a substrate (25) is improved. Particularly metals having a transition temperature ranging between brittle and ductile behaviour can be provided with ductile properties by the preheating process, thereby simplifying the deposition process.

Abstract: A cold spray apparatus having a powder preheating device, capable of obtaining high deposition rate and excellent coating layer under the same spray processing conditions by preheating coating powder before a coating process. Also, a manufacturing method of nano-structured super-high hardness WC—Co coating having high abrasive wear resistance and fracture toughness obtained by spraying WC—Co powder using the cold spray apparatus. In the cold spray apparatus, a gas controller controls gas supply amount of main gas and residual gas (gas that is not supplied toward the main gas), and a gas heater heats the main gas supplied under the control of the gas controller. A powder feeder receives the residual gas under the control of the gas controller and supplies a coating powder together with the residual gas. A powder preheating device preheats the coating powder supplied from the powder feeder, and a mixing chamber mixes the heated main gas with the preheated coating powder.

  • Patent number: 7628862
Abstract: A resin block has a treating solution channel extending between and opening at front and back surfaces thereof. Heat conductive members are face-bonded to the front and back surfaces of the resin block, respectively, for closing the channel. Consequently, no air is present between the resin block and heat conduction members, thereby improving the efficiency of heat exchange. A nozzle of simple construction is realized only by face-bonding the two heat conductive members to the open front and rear surfaces of the resin block. Temperature control plates hold the heat conductive members along with the resin block to effect a temperature control, whereby the temperature of a treating solution in the treating solution channel is controlled effectively through the heat conductive members. The treating solution adjusted to a desired temperature is delivered from a discharge opening to a substrate for performing substrate treatment with high accuracy.
