  • Patent number: 9420922
Abstract: A wipe container assembly includes a casing defining a chamber, a first electrode disposed within the chamber and a second electrode disposed within the chamber and spaced apart from the first electrode to define a spacing. The wipe container assembly includes a salt and water solution disposed within the chamber such that electrolyzed water is generated within the chamber from the salt and water solution when a bias is applied to one of the first electrode or second electrode to cause a current to flow through the salt and water solution within the spacing. The wipe container assembly includes an extraction port coupled to the casing and defining a wipe opening such that a wipe removed through the wipe opening is impregnated with the electrolyzed water. The wipe is impregnated with the electrolyzed water by coming into contact with the electrolyzed water within the chamber.

  • Patent number: 5768991
Abstract: A novel printer is used to print and produce a pre-moistened label and the like on demand by an operator. The printer includes an outer casing; a media associated with the casing, and a printhead mounted in the casing for printing indicia and the like on an upper surface of the media. The media has a liquid activated adhesive on a lower surface thereof. A liquid delivery structure and a liquid application structure are associated with the casing and may be provided a separate modules which are attached to an existing printer. The liquid delivery structure supplies liquid to the liquid application structure and the liquid application structure applies the liquid to the adhesive coated lower surface of the media to pre-moisten the media before it is dispensed from the printer. The printhead prints the indicia and the like on the media prior to the stage where the adhesive coating on the media is moistened by the liquid application structure.

  • Patent number: 4454834
Abstract: An installation for coating baked products, such as wafer sheets, with a viscous, edible spreading mass, such as caramel, includes a transport installation for moving the wafers and a revolvable, generally cylindrical coating roll above the transport installation. An application reservior cooperates with the coating roll to spread a layer of the spreading mass on the surface of the coating roll. A coating roll squeegee controls the thickness of the spreading mass on the coating roll, and a coating roll blade removes the spreading mass from the coating roll in the form of a layer. This layer of spreading mass is then deposited on the wafers transported by the transport installation. The viscous material of the spreading mass will be continuous and will tend to join the separate wafer sheets together when the layer is deposited on the wafer sheets. In this regard, a separating device is disposed downstream of the coating roll.

  • Patent number: 4406251
Abstract: A device for feeding sheets of wrapping material from a roll formed of wrapping material web to a packaging machine which discontinuously operates at consecutive cycles. The device includes a transversal cutter provided with cutter blades for cutting single sheets of wrapping material from the web which has a new leading edge after each cut, and at least one intermittent motion feeding group for feeding the web to the cutter. A first independent electric stepping motor drives the feeding group and is controlled by a programmable electronic control circuit which controls the stepping motor to drive the feeding group in accordance with a predetermined sequence of motions in synchronism with the cycles the packaging machine, including momentarily driving the feeding group backwards to withdraw and detach the leading edge of the web from the cutter blades.

  • Patent number: 4374505
Abstract: A system of applying glue or like liquid to a continuous web comprising a frame with a reservoir. A reservoir which is capable of being sealed tightly between uses in order to stop the drying process of glue, for example: a user of the apparatus may at any given time activate the use of the glue applicator by simply removing the cover of the reservoir, placing the dispensing reel bracket and the dispensing reel into its proper lace above the reservoir. A supply reel of unsaturated material has a wound web of the material attached, which is mounted generally above the reservoir in a rotational fashion. A guide roller module is disposed within the reservoir. The rollers outer perimeter is submerged within one quarter inch from the bottom of the reservoir. This enables the tape to be submerged to the extreme bottom of the glue reservoir and gives full usage of all liquid stored within the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 4343603
Abstract: A machine for extruding dough, typically of the bagel variety, about a food, such as a frankfurter, is disclosed. Typically, the frankfurters are loaded into a magazine. The magazine feeds a star wheel at the bottom. The star wheel singulates, rotates and discharges the frankfurters into a chute. Once the frankfurters are deposited in the chute, an endless chain with propelling pawls propels each sequential frankfurter through the chute concentrically to an extruder. The extruder continuously dispenses bagel dough concentrically around the frankfurters and is supplied with bagel dough under pressure by an auger flight extruder or other propelling mechanism. Extrusion occurs from an extrusion head having a frankfurter passageway centrally thereof. Dough is extruded into first and second extrusion chambers and out first and second immediately concentric extrusion annuluses about the frankfurter passageway.

Abstract: A dry wall tape dispenser is utilizable with a bucket-type container of dry wall taping compound of the kind used for bulk shipment and storage. The dispenser includes a support structure for interengagement with portions of the container and includes an arrangement for supporting and positioning a roll of uncoated dry wall tape above the container for unrolling of tape into the compound. The structure includes an extension which protrudes into the container, the extension including a guide for guiding the unrolled tape so that the tape passes into the compound to a point proximate the bottom of the container for thorough coating. The apparatus is provided also with a scraper proximate the opening having an edge for scraping one face of the coated tape to wipe the compound from such face so that only one face of the tape remains coated as the tape is pulled from the opening.

  • Patent number: 4008682
Abstract: A gummed tape dispenser has a pair of V-shaped cutting blades for making successive V-shaped cuts in the ends of a length of tape drawn from the dispenser to provide arrow-shaped lengths of tape. The tape dispenser has a tape moistener whose central portion is masked to keep the central portion of the tape dry as it is drawn across the moistener so that the central portion of the tape will not stick to a surface (e.g. the flaps of a box) to which the moistened tape is glued. Thus the unglued tip of the pointed end of the tape can be subsequently grasped and the tape can be stripped away to facilitate opening of the box.
