  • Patent number: 11471699
Abstract: The present wireless remote control device is a type of equipment with non-tethered optical stimulation. The characteristic of this device is designed to utilize a magnetic resonance technique to modify the deficits of the conventional magnetic induction or radio-frequency power source. Compared to the other devices of photostimulation, the advantages are as follow: there is a strong and even electromagnetic power; the cost is cheaper than the previous others; the device uses the receiver coil on an animal's head to receive the magnetic power from the transformation of the electrical power in the outside big coil, and thus the weight of the receiver coil on the head is very light. The light and miniaturized coil on the head without battery could give animals more convenience in freely movement, and the behavior of animals can be controlled by the effective extent of the electromagnetic field through photostimulation.

  • Patent number: 10524449
Abstract: A feeder and watering apparatus for pigs and a method for rehabilitating a fallback pig and preventing the fallback of a weaned pig is disclosed. A pair of semi-cylindrical troughs are mounted to either side of a fluid supply line. The troughs have a rooting protector mounted to the open portion of the trough, the rooting protector has a pair of longitudinally extending bars and multiple rung portions that are longitudinally spaced apart to provide a plurality of discrete eating areas. The troughs have a front wall portion that is lower than the rear wall portion to prevent feed from spilling over the rear wall. Multiple waterer nipples extend horizontally through holes in the rear wall. A quick-connect floor mount is rotatably mounted to the fluid supply line, with a handle that allows a retaining portion to lock the apparatus in cooperation with floor slats.

  • Patent number: 10375934
Abstract: Stackable poultry container systems are described herein along with methods of using the systems in connection with the care of poultry. The stackable poultry container systems described herein may include feeder apparatus that allow for the distribution of feed to all of the containers within a stack of containers through the feeder apparatus provided in the uppermost container in the stack. The stackable poultry container systems described herein may include a floor that has waste apertures formed therein to allow waste from animals located in the container to fall through the floor to improve sanitation for the animals located in the container system. The stacks of poultry containers may include waste shields located beneath each floor such that waste falling through the floor of a container does not pass into the container located below when the containers are stacked on top of each other.

  • Patent number: 6357393
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for automatically controlling exhaust flow to a ventilated rack of animal cages when an air inlet system, such as an air supply blower, to the rack is not operating. Accordingly, the device can be used in a system that assures that the ventilation system is balanced when one or more of the ventilated racks are removed from their respective air supplies. The device includes a damper housing that is adapted to be connected between an exhaust outlet of the ventilated rack and an exhaust system. A movable damper is positioned within the damper housing and is moveable between an open position and a closed position. In the closed position, the device creates a partial obstruction to air flow in the connection.

  • Patent number: 5513596
Abstract: A water quick disconnect assembly for improving removal of cages from an outside water supply. The assembly automatically turns off a water supply and disconnects a cage from a cage rack system. A water line connector attaches to an outside water supply. A water valve positioned within a cage barrier is locked to the water line connector when water is supplied to the cage. A linking member pivotally attaches to the water line for closing the water line. A knob assembly attaches the linking member to a pull cable. When the pull cable is pulled away from the cage, the water line connector is pivoted in a clockwise direction for disconnecting the water supply to the cage. The knob assembly provides positive visual indication of whether the cage is connected to the water supply or disengaged from the water supply. The quick disconnect system is a positive unlocking system.
