  • Publication number: 20150020747
Abstract: A method and system providing farm decision support relating to individual animals in a herd in a farm environment includes a brush station having a reader configured to remotely register, via identification devices, an identity of each animal visiting the brush station responsive to a detection unit detecting a repositioning of the brush from a neutral position resulting from an animal pushing against the brush. The reader unit has a detection range within which identity data can be read out from the identification device of each animal. In response to a detected repositioning of the brush, the reader unit registers the identity data from a first detected identification device within the detection range, and forwards the identity data to a processing unit via an output interface. The processing unit stores registered data representing animal visits to the brush station as decision support data.

  • Publication number: 20130145992
Abstract: A pet groomer and vacuum cleaner including the pet groomer are provided. The pet groomer includes a substance body having a suction channel to be connected with the suction hose of vacuum cleaner and has at least one air intake which transmits air to the suction channel; a combing assembly which is used to comb pet hair; and a driving assembly which drives the combing assembly so as to make the comb teeth in the combing assembly to move to the air intake from a comb position. The pet groomer drives the combing assembly through the driving assembly so as to move pet hair which is combed from pet body to the air intake to be vacuumed away by the vacuum cleaner directly, avoiding the intermediate action of stripping off pet hair from comb teeth or similar actions, so that pet hair will not fall down and environmental pollution and allergen spreading will not be caused by pet hair.

  • Publication number: 20110174234
Abstract: A treatment device for an animal includes a treatment member (1), having a first end and a second end, a longitudinal rotary axis (X) extending through the treatment member and the first and second ends, a driving part connected to the treatment member brings about a rotational movement of the treatment member around the longitudinal rotary axis. A carrying member (2) carries the treatment member and the driving part. An anchorage member (4) anchors the carrying member to a stationary element. The carrying member includes a first pivotable connection (3), permitting the treatment member to swing about a first axis (Y), and a second pivotable connection (5), permitting the treatment member to swing about a second axis (Z). The second pivotable connection is provided laterally closer to the anchorage member than to the first pivotable connection.

  • Patent number: 7963253
Abstract: A grooming device for an animal has a rotating member with at least one pair of opposing connection members configured to interact with the receiving areas of a flex member. The receiving areas are configured to permit the connection members to move to enable the flex member to move from a parallel plane with the rotating member to a non-parallel plane. The flex member is maintained spaced from the rotating member through the use of springs placed between the two members forming a compression area. The curry ribs are at substantially right angles to, and affixed to, at least a portion of the exterior periphery of the flex member. The curry ribs can be removable from the flex member or permanently secured to the surface.
