  • Patent number: 11793170
Abstract: Collar devices including interlinking collar components that have a hollow portion and a securing portion connected by a flexible portion have increased strength and security. The number of collar components included in a collar device may be adjusted in order to properly fit a collar to a particular animal. Such collar devices generally include a plurality of interlinking collar components, as well as first and second loop attachment components, which couple to respective ends of interlinked collar components. A loop with a fastening element is then inserted into openings of the first and second loop attachment components.

  • Patent number: 10660312
Abstract: Embodiments of an anti-pull collar attachment are provided. In one embodiment, the anti-pull collar attachment includes a collar attachment interface having a collar guideway through which a segment of an animal collar is routed to removably mount the collar attachment to the animal collar. A first prodding feature is coupled to the collar attachment interface and, when the anti-pull collar attachment is removably mounted to the animal collar, is positioned beneath the segment of the animal collar. The prodding feature engages into an animal wearing the animal collar when a pull force is exerted on the collar. In certain implementations, the anti-pull collar attachment further includes a frame coupled to the collar attachment interface, as well as a movable platform slidable with respect to the frame along a prodding axis. The first prodding feature projects from the movable platform and moves in conjunction therewith along the prodding axis.

  • Patent number: 9603340
Abstract: A dog training collar provides aversion training without requiring the use of a conventional pinch collar structure. The dog training collar has a series of spikes mounted on the inner side of the collar diametrically opposite the position of the buckle of the collar when mounted on a canine. The spikes are formed as truncated cones of plastic that have a rounded apex so as not to injure the canine during utilization. The spikes can be formed as pairs mounted on a base that is positioned on the interior of the collar with the spikes projecting through openings on the inner side of the collar. The rounded apex on the cones allows the collar to be worn comfortably until the leash is pulled to engage the spikes into the neck of the canine being trained. The exterior of the collar has the look of a standard flat buckle dog collar.

  • Publication number: 20120192811
Abstract: A collar for use in training animals, such as a prong collar, is provided that includes an attachment ring affixed to one end of a pull chain and a clasp at least indirectly attached to an opposite end of the pull chain. The collar may also include a neck portion having a pair of joining links affixed at opposite ends of the neck portion. The pull chain may be threaded through apertures in the joining links to form a closed loop with the neck portion. The attachment ring and the clasp may be dimensioned larger than the apertures to prevent the pull chain from disconnecting with the neck portion, thereby maintaining the closed loop. Once placed over the head of the pet, the collar may be secured with the proper fit by connecting the clasp to the attachment ring.
