Abstract: A method of preparing shoe components includes the steps of: providing a first shoe component and a second shoe component, forming an adhesive member on one of the first and second shoe components, stacking the first and second shoe components such that the adhesive member is disposed therebetween, heating to melt the adhesive member so as to adhere the first and second shoe components to each other, and suctioning air to adhere the first and second shoe components closely to each other.
Abstract: A post driver having a reverse twisted spring is disclosed which comprises a carriage, a driving ram which is movable relative to the carriage, a hydraulic cylinder assembly having a threaded hydraulic cylinder rod extending out of a first end of the hydraulic cylinder assembly, the threaded hydraulic cylinder rod capable of movement out of the hydraulic cylinder assembly and retracted back into the hydraulic cylinder assembly, the threaded hydraulic cylinder rod being connected to the driving ram, the hydraulic cylinder assembly having a second end being connected to the carriage, and a spring assembly comprising an outer spring and a reverse twisted spring within the outer spring, a first end having a screw-in plug, a threaded rod extending out of the screw-in plug in the first end with the threaded rod being connected to the driving ram, and a second end connected to the hydraulic cylinder assembly.
Abstract: A stock fit assembly fixture is provided for aligning and holding into place various portions of a shoe, such as an upper portion, an outsole, and a midsole, while the shoe portions are being assembled. The upper portion of a shoe may be secured to a shoe last, which in turn, may be secured to a top portion of the stock fit assembly fixture. The top portion may be movable such that the upper portion of the shoe can be moved toward the outsole and midsole portions, thus allowing for a securement of the upper portion to the outsole and midsole portions. The movement of the top portion may be by way of a compression mechanism allowing the top portion to be forced to be moved toward a bottom portion of the stock fit assembly fixture.
Abstract: Boot machining device for angular adjustment of a boot sole. The device includes a support frame, a substantially flat board, or flat frame, connected to the support frame and provided with an opening larger than the sole of the boot in order to provide access, securing arrangement fixed in the support frame for securing the boot in the device such that it is accessible from the top side, arrangement for adjusting and locking the angular position of the boot sole around a transverse axis of rotation, and a machining tool carrier for supporting a machining tool, said tool carrier is slidably arranged on the substantially flat board, or flat frame. The sole of the ski boot, after adjustment of the desired angle in transverse and/or longitudinal direction is machined to be substantially parallel by moving the tool carrier in the plane of the substantially flat board, or flat frame.

Abstract: A bonding press for cementing shoe soles to lasted uppers. A shoe support plate has an opening to receive the lasted shoe upper with the sole placed thereon. The lasted shoe upper is supported on a last support. A rigid press hood closed on the underside by a soft membrane, is selectively movable to a position to apply pressure to the sole in place on the upper. A control system has switching members for moving, releasing and filling the press hood with compressed air and venting the same. The control system also includes a switching valve adapted to be actuated by insertion of the shoe in the opening formed in the shoe support. The actuators and other elements of the system for controlling the movable press components are controlled by programmable control unit.
Abstract: In a method for producing footwear, wherein the shaft and the shell sole of the footwear are glued together, the leather upper part of the footwear is first cut to size without the formation of a lasting fold, it is prepared and then roughened along a lower border thereof. After shaping of the tip, so as to conform to the last, the preformed shaft is stretched to measure, and a rear cap is simultaneously molded in. The shell sole, which is likewise glued, is placed on a glued border and pressed against at least the tip and heel and is also possibly sewn with a seam, after which a cover sole is placed and the shoe or footwear is completed.
Abstract: The subject matter of the invention is a bonding press for bonding shoe soles to lasted uppers, comprising a fixed bed structure (1) including an exchangeable receptacle plate (6, 9) into the padded opening (8) of which a lasted upper (7) is inserted and fixed with the sole laid thereon and facing upwards, further comprising a pressing pad (2) to which a pressurized medium may be applied, the dimensionally stable cowl (10) of said pad being hingedly joined to the bed structure (1) and hermetically sealed towards the bottom by a flexibly expandable diaphragm (12), and comprising linear drive means (3) mounted to the bed structure for pivoting the cowl (10) and for producing the closing force.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for applying an adhesive coated wear portion to the underside of a shoe wherein the wear portion and the underside of the shoe are heated, a first pressure is applied to urge the wear portion and the shoe together, and a second greater pressure is applied in situ to further urge the wear portion and the underside of the shoe together. In one embodiment, a heating element may be provided for transfer between a first location for heating and drying a shoe and a second location directly between the shoe and the wear portion to be applied. The periphery of the wear portion may be trimmed to correspond to the underside of the shoe.
Abstract: A shoe sole attaching press in which a pressure member is moved by a relatively small cylinder from a retracted location into engagement with a shoe whereupon an interlocking means locks a relatively large pressure applying cylinder to means for applying force to the pressure member.
Abstract: A device for cementing soles on the base surface of shoes is provided. The device is provided with a cushion formed of a plurality of blocks resiliently movable and adapted to automatically lock in a position where they mate the shoe lower surface. This locking operation is controlled by a microswitch actuated by the block corresponding to the shoe waist. The heel pressing block is also locked simultaneously with said plurality of blocks.
