Steam Injector Patents (Class 122/404)
  • Patent number: 8230824
Abstract: A steam ejection device including a steam generator for generating steam by heating water; a steam eject port for discharging the steam generated in the steam generator; and a steam-guiding portion for delivering the steam from the steam generator to the steam eject port, and the steam ejection device further including a steam-heating block for heating, right before the steam eject port, the steam guided via the steam-guiding portion.

  • Patent number: 7670462
Abstract: A system and method whereby on-line cleaning of black oil heater tubes and delayed coker heater tubes may be effectuated by injecting a high pressure water charge through the tubes during normal process operations so as to prevent tube fouling and heater downtime. The high pressure water charge begins the on-line cleaning process once it enters the heater tube by undergoing intense boiling and evaporation. The cleaning occurs by two methods—a scrubbing action and a shocking action. The scrubbing action occurs because of the complete turbulence caused by the water charge's intense boiling within the heater tubes. The shocking action is caused by the expansion and contraction of the heater tubes resulting from the colder water charge flowing through the heater tubes which is then followed by the hotter process fluid flowing through the heater tubes.

  • Patent number: 6834622
Abstract: Method for generating steam, in particular ultrapure steam, and steam generator The invention relates to a method and a steam generator for generating steam, in particular ultrapure steam, by reacting a stoichiometric mixture comprising a fuel, in particular hydrogen, and an oxidizing agent, in particular oxygen, and injecting water into the hot reaction gases, which is distinguished by a high purity of the steam generated. The object of providing a method for generating an ultrahigh purity steam is achieved, according to the invention, by two-stage combustion, in that the reaction mixture which is generated in a first combustion and evaporation stage is subjected to catalytic afterburning. A steam generator is distinguished by the fact that a catalytic afterburning chamber (3) with a through-flow body (16) is arranged downstream of the combustion and evaporation chamber (2).

  • Patent number: 6655323
Abstract: A boiler incidental facility includes at least one jet nozzle, equipped in an air supply duct or an air exhaust duct connected with a furnace. During operation, steam is heated and supplied to the jet nozzle and spurted in a direction in alignment with an air flow in an air supply duct or in an air exhaust duct. Reactive and meditative chemicals may be injected into the air flow either through the net nozzles or adjacent to the net nozzles.

  • Patent number: 6595163
Abstract: The steam injector is characteristic in its high pressure and improved start-up. It uses an axial drain (10) positioned in the centre of the neck (5) downstream from the mixing chamber (4) and inserted in the diffuser (7) for the purpose of narrowing the section of the neck (5) and evacuating a large part of the steam which has not been condensed. The axial drain (10) may be mounted so that it is axially mobile. Application to the water supply for steam generators in pressurized water nuclear reactors.

  • Patent number: 6422180
Abstract: A flush line for dishwasher mainly includes a steam boiler provided at an upstream position of the flush line and having a water inlet connected to a water-in valve and a water outlet connected to a water stop valve; and a pump and a spray nozzle sequentially located downstream the water stop valve. When the water-in valve is opened, running water enters into the flush line to pass the steam boiler, at where the water is heated to produce a specific volume of steam that passes the pump and is pressurized before being sprayed via the nozzle to flush dishes in the dishwasher. High-temperature steam instantaneously evaporates 1i residual fat on the dishes and disinfects the same. Since steam contains less moisture, dishes washed with steam need not be dried with an electric heater.

  • Patent number: 5658361
Abstract: Particulate-containing hot flue gas flows are flowed into a boiler having a first and a second chamber. The first chamber has a gas side and a water side. The hot flue gas flows into the gas side of the first chamber which is in heat exchange relation with the water side. Steam is generated on the water side and transported to a power generator. Steam or another inert gas is periodically injected into the gas side of the first chamber for removing particulate fouling when the heat exchange relation for the gas side falls below a predetermined minimum level. Cooled flue gas leaving the gas side of the boiler is conducted to a purification chamber having spray nozzles thereby allowing large particulate to settle out of the flue gas and removing fine particulate entrained in the flue gas enabling purified flue gas to be released from an upper portion of the second chamber.
