Combined With Cap Exploder Patents (Class 124/2)
  • Patent number: 10401119
Abstract: A small pistol device that shoots red paint pellets is intended to be used for personal protection. The pistol is disguised to appear as a rectangular cellular phone. The pistol is intended to be worn discreetly upon a user's belt using a clip. During a confrontation, a user would fire a paint pellet at the perpetrator causing the release of paint. It is intended that the perpetrator would think they have been shot, thereby providing an opportunity for the user to escape.

  • Patent number: 10369486
Abstract: A toy vehicle launcher has a housing, a handle, a slidable plate, a retention member, and biasing elements. The handle is moveably attached to the housing. The slidable plate is operatively coupled to the handle and movable with respect to the housing. The slidable plate includes sequential notches. The first biasing element couples the slidable plate to the housing. The first biasing element biases the slidable plate in a first direction with respect to the housing. Movement of the handle moves the slidable plate in a second direction against the bias of the first biasing element. The retention member is disposed proximate the slidable plate and configured to engage and disengage with notches. The second biasing element attaches the retention member to the launcher housing. The second biasing element biases the retention member into contact with the slidable plate.

  • Patent number: 9726455
Abstract: An arming assembly for a personal self-defense device includes a substantially closed-ended cylindrical member having a first end and a second end, the cylindrical member having an interior chamber. At least one opening being formed within the first end for the inserting and exiting of a porcupine quill. A translatable piston includes a spring and a disc being disposed within the interior chamber. At least one arm being attached to the spring in order to compress and release the spring and translate the disc toward the second end. At least one quill is inserted into the opening formed within the first end and sits in an associated indentation formed within the disc. Once the arm is released, the quill is projected forward and exits through the opening formed within the first end, which is aimed at a would-be attacker. The arming assembly may be double-acting by having conjoined opposed similar components.

  • Patent number: 9354020
Abstract: A projectile launcher includes a housing including a launching section. The launching section includes a first spring and a second spring, a piston coupled with the first and second springs, and a charger that compresses each of the first and second springs against the piston within the launching section. The projectile launcher further includes hollow barrel that extends to a front end of the projectile launcher, a projectile loading area configured to receive and load a projectile in position with a firing end of the piston and the barrel, and a trigger. Compression of the first and second springs by the charger is released in response to actuation of the trigger, where release of the compression of the first and second springs forces movement of the piston toward the projectile loading area so as to launch a projectile loaded within the projectile loading area through the barrel and from the projectile launcher.

  • Patent number: 5937556
Abstract: A device and method for firing a cap contained within a row of caps. The device includes a base structure for retaining the row of caps so that one of the caps is set in a predetermined firing location. A hammer pin is provided that is movable with respect to the base structure and the cap held therein. The hammer pin is positioned adjacent to the cap in the predetermined firing position so that when the entire device is compressed the hammer pin strikes and fires the cap. The device is preferably compressed by locating the device either in or on the sole of a shoe. As a person stands on that shoe, the device will become compressed and the cap will fire. The device also preferably contains an advancement mechanism for automatically advancing a new cap into the firing position after a cap has been fired. In this manner, multiple caps can be fired simply by walking, running or jumping.

  • Patent number: 5094018
Abstract: A mobile ballast receiving and distributing machine comprises a machine frame supported on a railroad track by undercarriages for mobility in an operating direction, a ballast conveying device arranged on the machine frame to receive ballast and to convey the received ballast to a discharge end of the device, and a power-driven ballast storage silo arranged on the machine frame to receive the conveyed ballast from the discharge end of the ballast conveying device. The silo has a ballast discharge opening and a ballast conveyor band extending in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the machine frame and forming a bottom support for the ballast received from the ballast conveying device discharge end, the ballast conveyor band having an end discharging the ballast into the ballast discharge opening.

  • Patent number: 4890404
Abstract: The magazine is for use with strip ammunition capable of being fed by slide action into the firearm whenever the trigger is pulled; a housing accommodates a number of ammunition strips resting on top of one another, and a pressure device props the strips against a sliding surface with a discharge aperture for the strip in contact with the surface; an extraction device capable of sliding along an opening in the sliding surface is designed to push the strip in contact with the surface itself and to slide in the opposite direction without any drag effect.

  • Patent number: 4059917
Abstract: A noisemaking toy, more particularly, a simulated firecracker is presented which includes an elongate hollow cylindrical body and an elongated cord extending from one end; a piston assembly located within the body attached to the cord; a compression spring is provided for driving the piston; and a cap detonating assembly is located at the remote end of the body, the assembly containing a trigger mechanism which extends within the cylinder in the path of travel of the piston; and a sound generating means for emitting a whistle is coupled to the piston; whereby withdrawal of the cord to retract the piston and compress the spring, followed by release of the cord, allows the piston to travel forward along the axis of the body at a controlled rate, providing a whistling sound for a predetermined interval of time followed by the actuation of the cap detonating means.
