Converted Firearm Patents (Class 124/28)
  • Patent number: 11768051
Abstract: A multiple-shot crossbow includes a mainframe, a riser, upper and lower bow limbs and bowstrings, and a trigger mechanism. The mainframe includes upper and lower rails, each for supporting and guiding a corresponding bolt. The riser includes a passage for accommodating loading and launching a bolt. The bow limbs are attached to the riser and the bowstrings are attached to the bow limbs. Each bowstring is arranged independently to be drawn from a brace position to a drawn position and then return to the brace position while launching a bolt positioned on the corresponding rail. The lower bowstring is movable within a longitudinal slot between the upper and lower rails. The trigger mechanism is attached to a rear end of the mainframe and includes upper and lower trigger portions, each retaining a corresponding drawn bowstring and then releasing it upon actuation by a user.

  • Patent number: 8267690
Abstract: A device for simulating fire effects in military or civilian combat training. The device includes a light source configured to produce light beams and a light source control adapted to control a light lobe formed by the light beams from the light source. The light source control includes a two-dimensional array of elements electronically controllable to assume a selected state among at least a first state of letting through light incident thereupon in a main direction of the light lobe or a second state of not letting through the light incident thereupon in the main direction, and a unit adapted to control the elements for designing the spatial propagation of the light lobe.

  • Patent number: 4046130
Abstract: An attachment is provided for a firearm, such as a handgun, with the attachment being adapted for use during target practice. The attachment includes a cylinder which is releasably secured to the barrel of the firearm. A needle-like rod is contained within the cylinder and is ejected therefrom after the trigger is pulled. A pair of arms extend outwardly from the cylinder proximate the rearward end thereof with the inner end of the arms being coupled to the rod and with the outer end of the arms being adapted to be struck by a portion of the hammer of the firearm. The target is reduced in scale and is placed only several inches away from the muzzle of the firearm. In one embodiment of the invention, a spring is utilized for returning the rod to its initial, retracted position after each firing. In another embodiment of the invention an external spring clip or latch extends into the cylinder and is adapted to releasably retain the rod prior to the firing thereof.

  • Patent number: 3949731
Abstract: There is disclosed in the present application a spear fishing gun assembly adapted to project toward a target either a captive spear or a free spear depending upon the circumstances. The captive spear is projected a distance of up to approximately nine feet from the user and remains coupled to the gun or firing device. The free spear is projected free of the gun although it may for convenience remain connected to the gun by a flexible strand or cord. The propelling force applied to the spears is obtained from a tensioned spring wrapped around the barrel of the assembly.
