The rear pull points and the push points are designed to pull and push, respectively, burning wood to create airflow and position the wood exactly where the Asador desires.

In operation, the closing position of the cover is detected, e.g., by a microswitch, and the electromagnet is activated in order to keep the cover closed. The electromagnet is controlled by the timing unit such that, when the cover is closed, the electromagnet is activated and the cover remains closed, and the electromagnet is deactivated after the time preset by the timing unit so that the cover is automatically opened through the bias of the springs.

The cover is actuated from a first suspended position within the oven enclosure to a second position overlaying the bottom of the oven enclosure when the door is closed. A height adjuster is provided for adjusting the extent which the cover is actuated from the first to the second position. The cover overlays an item of food placed upon the bottom of the microwave interior when it is desirable to heat the item. The cover may also be adjusted solely at the height adjuster without the opening and closing motion of the door.

    Abstract: A heater or cooker panel assembly comprises an enameled frame having an upper edge which is capped by a decorative edge trim made of alloy steel. The trim protects the upper edge of the frame against damage in use. The frame has an internal flange which mounts a glass or vitreous ceramic hob plate. A layer of silicone adhesive forms a cohesive unit with the frame and trim so that the hob plate is thermally bonded to the unit. A good bond is obtained between the enameled frame and the adhesive. In an embodiment where the frame is plastic coated or is of anodized aluminum, the trim is dispensed with and a substantially U-shaped profile is engaged over the internal flange of the frame. The U-shaped profile is formed of a material which is capable of being firmly bonded to the adhesive.

The heat from the heat exchange device is transmitted into a main cavity of the device where the heat is transferred to air forced through the main cavity by a blower mounted to an outside surface of the device. Air exit means are provided on a surface opposite to the surface on which the blower is mounted to provide a passage for heated air into the room or other enclosed space to be heated. The device may also include a top mounted isolated handle for ease in handling the device such as for moving from one area to another.

The top surface of the hood is apertured, and a separate insert member adapted for holding a container for food or liquid to be heated when the hood is closed, is removably mounted in the aperture and is so dimensioned as to yield an air-permeable gap around its entire periphery for efficient heating of the container. The hood is associated with the tub through a U-shaped member which folds flat when the hood is closed to define a carrying handle.
