Abstract: Combination cooking grills and thermal chests are provided. One such combination includes a thermal chest that defines an interior and which includes an opening communicating with and providing access to the interior. The combination also includes a grill that defines a cooking interior and which incorporates a grilling surface mounted within the cooking interior. A repositioning assembly is mounted to the thermal chest. The grill is movable, via the repositioning assembly, between a lowered position in which the grill limits access to the interior of the thermal chest via the opening, and a raised position in which the grill is spaced from the thermal chest such that access to the interior of the thermal chest is provided via the opening.

Abstract: A barbecue grill and cart assembly having a firebox for cooking food including a heat source therein and a firebox support assembly for receiving and supporting the firebox. In one embodiment the grill and cart apparatus of the present invention includes a fuel source support platform and a fuel source support guard to facilitate storage of a fuel source on the grill and cart assembly. In one embodiment the grill and cart assembly comprises a warming rack fixed to the firebox. Also, in an embodiment, the grill and cart assembly of the present invention comprises a folding shelf extending from the firebox support and movable between an extended position and a retracted position.

Abstract: A barbecue grill assembly includes a cook unit and a casing. The cook unit has a cooking base, a grill member disposed in the cooking base, a top cover, and a handle formed on the top cover. The casing includes front and rear casing parts that have first edges hinged to each other, and second edges fastened releasably to each other by a pair of fastening units. The casing is formed with two handle openings at the second edges, and is mounted with a wheel unit and a pull member above the wheel unit. The casing confines a receiving space for receiving the cook unit. The handle on the cook unit is extendible through the handle openings. The pull member is operable for pulling the casing to move along a ground surface by virtue of rolling contact of the wheel unit with the ground surface. The casing is adapted to be disposed uprightly on a ground surface for supporting the cook unit thereon.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved barbecue kettle leg support featuring a body that is contoured to fit the curved shape of a barbecue kettle bowl and to receive an end of a leg with a locking formation. Fastener bores are configured for mounting the leg support to the bowl. Preferably, the leg support is mounted midway between the top and bottom of the bowl for increased stability. A keyed bore enables assembly of the leg with the locking formation. The locking formation utilizes a pin which is attached to a bias spring to prevent unwanted detachment of the leg from the leg support. The locking formation is configured to allow assembly and disassembly to be performed without the use of tools.

Abstract: A foldable supporting frame, comprising left and right supporting rods and a connecting rod in the middle; the supporting rods and the connecting rod can be pivotally connected. When folded, the supporting rods can be superposed on the connecting rod, forming a folded structure occupying limited space. When stretching the foldable supporting frame, the user only needs to stretch the supporting rods pivoted by the connecting pivots toward the two sides, thus the foldable supporting frame can be fully stretched and ready to be used. A grill body can be placed on top of the foldable supporting frame of the present invention, forming a grill with foldable supporting frame. The foldable supporting frame of the present invention, after using, can be fully folded through procedures in reverse of the aforementioned procedures for stretching.

Abstract: The invention relates to a barbecue smoking grill comprising a grill body and two grill lids; the grill body is divided into two areas, and each area thereof has its upper part wide-open to contain grill grids, whereon both grill lids fully cover, with charcoal placed inside the grill and burned at the bottom of the grill lids' covered space. The barbecue smoker grill can be installed with a porous separator between two areas of the grill body, and charcoal can be placed in either of the two areas, thus allowing the user to grill the food items at one side of the grill and smoke other food items at the other side of the grill simultaneously. Therefore, with the design of forming heat-preserving spaces by using the grill lids respectively in the invention, the grill can prevent heat from dispersing, improve the grill efficiency, and enable the user to cook the food items with multiple ways simultaneously.

Abstract: A stand to support an object has a bottom frame and two side frames. The side frames are each pivotally attached to opposite ends of the bottom frame with a pair of pivot pins. The pairs of pivot pins are located at different heights. A clasp is mounted on each side frame to detachably engage the bottom frame. When the clasps are released from the bottom frame, the side frames can be pivoted relative to the bottom frame. The stand is foldable. Because the side frames are respectively pivotally attached to the bottom frame by pairs of pivot pins at different heights, one of the side frames can overlap the other side frame. The size of the stand is reduced. Transporting and storing the stand become more convenient.

Abstract: A portable fireplace assembly that rests upon a substrate includes a base for supporting and burning combustible material. A support frame is sized and configured to support the base, and includes one or more frame members. One or more vertical supports are provided to support the base in a vertical displacement from the substrate and include one or more generally vertical struts securable to the frame. The fireplace has one or more screen segments, being sized and configured to mount on the supports, preferably with a tab and slot mechanism. When mounted on the supports, the one or more screen segments form a cage, and are configured to surround the combustible material when the cage is formed. A lid is sized and configured to cover the cage.

Abstract: The present invention is a frame assembly for a barbecue grill that provides rigid support for a cooking chamber and a work surface disposed adjacent to the chamber. The frame assembly comprises at least two U-shaped frame members, each formed of a bended contiguous tubular material, with at least one support member disposed transverse to the U-shaped members attached thereto, such that the two U-shaped frame members are in a spaced relation to each other to create a space therebetween to accommodate a cooking chamber and a work surface.

Abstract: A barbecue grill and cart including a right leg frame assembly and a left leg assembly. Each of the right and left leg assemblies includes a bracket member disposed on an upper portion of the right and said left leg assemblies. Each of the bracket members includes a contact portion for engaging a barbecue grill when the right and left leg assemblies are in generally vertical positions. Securing means are provided for rotatably attaching the right and said left leg assemblies to the barbecue grill such that the right and said left leg assemblies can be rotated between a stowed position and said generally vertical position.

Abstract: The present invention is a multifunctional portable barbecue grill that is designed and configured to expand in order to increase and/or decrease the total size the cooking surface of the particular grill. The grill includes a mainframe that supports the housing. Located in the housing is a grate. The mainframe, housing and grate include a slideably extension system for increasing or decreasing the length of the grill. In addition, for convenience and added comfort, the mainframe of the grill can be altered in height to provide for a comfortable height for the cook as well as provide for an easy means for storage and transportability.

Abstract: The present invention is a frame assembly for a barbecue grill that provides rigid support for a cooking chamber and a work surface disposed adjacent to the chamber. The frame assembly comprises at least two U-shaped frame members, each formed of a bended contiguous tubular material, with at least one support member disposed transverse to the U-shaped members attached thereto, such that the two U-shaped frame members are in a spaced relation to each other to create a space therebetween to accommodate a cooking chamber and a work surface.

Abstract: The chuckwagon camp box of this invention includes a portable kitchen comprised of a top lid, drop down front and rear shelves, each of which is separately hinged to a base unit. The underside of the base unit has provisions to removably attach the support legs or permanently attach folding legs. The underside of the base unit also is provided with a plurality of casters to facilitate transport of the camp box. The base unit also includes an integral cooktop accessible from the front shelf and a plurality of work surfaces, multi-purpose compartments and a utensil drawer. Extendable, multi-purpose racks may be withdrawn from both ends of the base unit to serve as towel racks or shelves with the attachment of the included covering trays. A dishwashing center accessible from the rear shelf is also provided. The front and rear shelves are separated by an upstanding, transverse panel in the box, so that the front cooking area and rear washing areas are functionally isolated, separate work stations.

Abstract: A barbeque grill arrangement is provided having a grill unit removably mounted on a rack which attaches to an exterior vehicle wall to form a stable grill support solely by the vehicle connection. At least part of that connection can utilize a standard indoor/outdoor stove support bracket. The rack maintains all elements of the grill at least predetermined distance from the vehicle wall, sufficient to avoid heat-induced damage to the wall. The grill is connectable to the same fuel supply as is used by an interior stove. Grill heat is vented away from the vehicle. A cover stop is mounted within the cover hinge.

Abstract: A raisable and lowerable platform that houses a removable charcoal or gas grill and a removable cooler chest, with a storage compartment between the two, a telescoping flagpole mounted to the platform to display team colors, and a fold down table attached on both ends of the platform to provide more cooking area. In the preferred embodiment to date the platform is connected to a wheeled scissors lift system that is used to raise and lower the platform. The apparatus is carried and transported via a rollered receiver hitch assembly that is an integral part of the scissors lift system and that is conventionally mountable on a transport vehicle.

Abstract: A barbeque grill attachment assembly adapted and structured to secure a barbeque grill to the rear of a vehicle so that the grill may be used without detachment from the vehicle is disclosed. The grill assembly permits the barbeque grill to swing in a horizontal arc from its operational position farthest from the rear of the vehicle to a stowed position adjacent the rear of the vehicle.

Each of a first pair of wheels is rotatably coupled to an opposite end of the axle. Each of a pair of brackets is coupled to the bottom wall and positioned generally adjacent to the first side wall. Each of a second pair of wheels is rotatably coupled to one of the brackets. A sink is positioned in the top wall of the housing. Each of a plurality of burners is positioned on the top wall of the housing. A fuel supply is fluidly coupled to each of the burners.

Abstract: A foldable or collapsible cart for a barbecue grill and cart assembly which includes a frame assembly and first and second folding or collapsible leg assemblies. The leg assemblies are pivotally connected to the frame assembly at opposite ends thereof. The frame assembly mounts a barbecue grill casting. The frame assembly, barbecue casting and first and second folding leg assemblies are preferably preassembled by the manufacturer prior to shipping the barbecue grill and cart assembly. In this manner, less assembly is required on the part of the end user.

Abstract: An outdoor fireplace has an extendible handle that is extendible between two positions so that the fireplace may be easily moved. The handle includes first and second handle members that telescopingly engage each other and which are maintained at an angle with respect to the ground by way of their attachment to the firebowl member of the fireplace. In one position, the handle members are maintained in a collapsed position such that the handle does not extend too far from the firebowl member and serve as an impediment to movement around the fireplace. In the other, extended position, the handle members are extend within each other and the gripping portion of the handle is moved significantly away from the firebowl so that the fireplace may be easily moved without the user being close to the fireplace.

Abstract: A preferred embodiment of the smoker grill of the present invention incorporates a smoker chamber and a firebox. The smoker chamber defines a smoker interior, which is adapted for receiving food items for smoking, and includes an opening for providing access to the smoker interior. The firebox engages in fluid communication with the smoker interior so that smoke produced within the firebox can flow into the smoker interior for smoking the food items placed therein. Preferably, the firebox is sized and shaped so that it is insertable through the opening and into the smoker interior. In embodiments so configured, the firebox may be placed within the smoker interior, such as during shipping of the smoker grill, thereby allowing components of the grill to be stored and shipped in a container that is smaller than could otherwise be utilized. Method aspects also are provided.

Fuel access doors having adjustable draft valves are located on the respective oven ends, and a damper-containing vent pipe is connected to the oven unit. The oven access doors are supported by the oven ends by horizontally oriented access door hinges. The oven access doors are located above the drawer guide tracks. The oven unit includes drain ports located at bottom portions of the oven unit. A thermometer is supported by the oven unit. First and second trays are supported at the respective oven ends, and the trays are located astride of the oven access doors.

Abstract: A collapsible, portable outdoor fireplace with a fire screen assembly is easily broken down into its constituent components, which are stored in a cavity between the top and bottom cover members of the fireplace. The fireplace includes hemispherical top and bottom fire bowl members and a fire screen assembly that is supported between the two fire bowl members. The fire screen assembly matches the configuration of the bowl members and includes a series of individual screen panels that are easily assembled together and disassembled without the need for tools. One of the screen panels includes an access door that defines an entrance to the fireplace.

Abstract: An accessory support system attachable to the exterior of a motor vehicle supports recreational accessories such as grills, table tops and umbrellas for use out of doors. The system comprises a lateral support assembly adapted to connect to the trailer hitch of a motor vehicle, and one or more vertical support means adapted to engage one or more recreational accessories such that the accessories are supported in a position suitable for use. The lateral support assembly may include a first lateral support rod adapted at one end to removably engage a vehicle trailer hitch and adapted at the other end to rotatably couple to a second lateral support rod via a vertical coupling means. The second lateral support rod can include a distal end portion adapted to engage a vertical support rod which supports grill means. The grill means may be positioned within about a 270.degree.

The barbecue support structure includes a main support frame having at least two wheels at a lower end thereof and an upper support member defining at least two upper support surfaces having in a substantially horizontal plane. An intermediate mounting frame is connected to the upper support members, and includes a mechanism for receiving a barbecue unit. The upper support members and the intermediate mounting frame collectively include a mounting mechanism for removably mounting the intermediate mounting frame to the upper support members of the main support frame. The intermediate mounting frame may be remounted to the support members at one of a plurality of different positions on the support members. This allows differently configured barbecue units to be mounted to the intermediate mounting frame.

Abstract: A spice rack for a cooking range including a one piece shelf defining an elongated channel for receipt of spice containers. The spice rack includes a front panel and a rear panel, the rear panel having barrier members extending therefrom generally toward the front panel which separate the elongated channel into a series of smaller spaces for segregation of spice containers. The rear panel has a flange member extending therefrom which cooperates with the rear panel to define a channel for receipt of a mounting bracket. The mounting bracket is secured to a rear wall of the cooking range and vertically supports the spice rack and spaces the spice rack from heat producing portions of the cooking range. The spice rack also includes lateral flanges that serve as stops to limit lateral movement of the spice rack relative to the mounting bracket.

Abstract: A portable barbecue grill assembly can be readily attached to the trailer receiver hitch of a motor vehicle and cantilevered therefrom to allow the assembly to be taken freely anywhere. The apparatus includes a principal support arm projecting horizontally outwardly from the rear of the vehicle and an upturned portion, to which an ash saucer is attached, and bolts therethrough anchor a kettle-type barbecue grill having a removable dome-shaped cover. Two food preparation and serving tables are attached to table supporting arms connected to the principal supporting arm below the ash saucer. The table tops, table supporting arms, and ash saucer are readily attachable and detachable by means of snap fastener pins.

Abstract: The apparatus is multifunctional in that it can be transported, readily and safely, from place to place by means of a vehicle. The transportable barbecue apparatus is detachably attachable to a land vehicle having connection means at the rear thereof, such as a receiver hitch on the rear bumper. The apparatus comprises a barbecue cooker and an support arm, most preferably an articulated support arm, having an inner end portion whereby the arm can be detachably secured at its inner end portion to the connection means so that the apparatus is held above ground level at the rear of the vehicle. Preferably, when the arm is detachably secured in this manner, the arm projects rearwardly from the vehicle in a plane that is substantially perpendicular to the rear bumper. The apparatus, supported by the arm, can be utilized with a stand whereby it becomes a stand alone barbecue cooker.

Abstract: A portable outdoor fireplace with a fire screen assembly convertible into a cooking grill includes top and bottom cover members and a fire screen assembly extending vertically therebetween. The fire screen assembly is cylindrical and includes multiple screen panels supported vertically therein. One screen panel is removable and insertable into the fire screen assembly and supported horizontally therein to provide a grill surface within the fire screen assembly which may be used for cooking.

Abstract: A mobile workstation for preparation of skewered meat products comprising a mobile food preparation cart, a skewer bracket and a rack member. The cart has a work surface or horizontal supports supported by a plurality of leg supports on wheels and rails for supporting a removable seasoning lug positioned below said work surface. The skewer bracket is mounted on the food preparation cart and receives and positions a skewer in a substantially vertical position for effecting skewering of a meat product thereon. The rack member, which also supports a plurality of skewers or skewers and skewered meat products, is also mounted on the food preparation cart.

Abstract: A frame having ground-engaging wheels and a hitch for attaching to a towing vehicle supports a pair of cooking elements, disposed back-to-back, a first pair being located at the forward portion of the frame, and a second pair disposed at the after portion of the frame. A large storage compartment including horizontal closures is interposed between the fore and aft cooking element pairs. A large fuel cylinder, connected to the supply lines of the cooking elements by flexible hose, is mounted on a wheeled gurney. The gurney is demountably secured to the tang of the frame when the apparatus is being transported. Once the apparatus is situated, the gurney provides for removal of the cylinder to a safe area.

Abstract: A gas tank retainer for a barbecue grill. The retainer allows the gas tank to be positioned in a recessed relationship with respect to the lower shelf of the grill. The lower shelf is spaced a predetermined distance from the underside of the grill, such that the gas tank cannot be stored vertically beneath the grill, creating a potential fire hazard, rather must be stored in the recessed portion designed for holding the tank.

Abstract: An apparatus for use with a gas grill cart which comprises a cutting board and a drawer for preparation of food and storage of grilling accessories. The apparatus is adapted for use with grill carts having a base and a four-posted vertically extending structure having arms extending perpendicularly from each post. The invention is adapted to be placed between two of the arms previously having wooden slots extending therebetween and is comprised of a cutting board which has a length greater than the length of the space between the arms of the cart. The cutting board has guides attached to the underside thereof for engagement with a drawer which is similarly held on the cart via the engagement of the cutting board with the arms. The drawer has a locking device thereon for engagement with a cutout in one of the guides attached to the cutting board. As such, the drawer cannot be fully removed from the slots of the guides and, therefore, accidental spillage of the drawer and its contents is prevented.

Abstract: A portable food cooking apparatus in which there is a line of cooking stations and a parallel line of serving stations. These are separated by a suitable smoke baffel and a trough to receive cooked food items from the cooking stations.

Abstract: An automatic food cooker having a tubular frame used as an air conduit system for delivering air to the fuel source. When the attached fan is turned on air is blown through the tubular frame and out the exhaust on the vertical frame members. The exhaust ports are adjacent the lower longitudinal frame near the fuel source. Therefore, regardless of the wind condition the fuel source may be fed sufficient air to promote burning. Use of the tubular frame as air conduits minimizes the cost involved in providing the air delivery system for the cooker. A portion of the frame is used as hot air conduits for drawing heated air from the cooker interior and delivering it to an upper chamber for heating or cooking food products contained therein.

Abstract: A portable barbecue grill assembly is disclosed that includes a barbecue kettle (10) having a generally semi-hemispherical bottom bowl (11) and a generally semi-hemispherical removable kettle cover (12). An ash catcher (100) and a cover holder (30) are secured to the bottom bowl (11). A cart (50) is employed for holding the kettle (10) adjacent one end of a fuel tank (72), ignitor assembly (43) and a storage bin (80) with cover (70) adjacent the other end. The cart (50) includes two parallel side support structures (52), each including a horizontal upper side member (53) and a pair of vertical posts (56,57), with the side support structures being connected to each other near their bottoms by a pair of substantially parallel lower transverse cross-members (66) and adjacent their tops by a pair of substantially parallel upper transverse cross members (66a). A pair of lower horizontal side support members (54) connects at each end to one of the lower cross-members ( 66).

Abstract: A method and apparatus for cooking includes an apparatus convertible from a grill to a bake oven. The apparatus has a fire box positioned below a grill and incorporates a closed chamber supported on the fire box and enclosing the grill. A pivotable plate is mounted immediately below the grill and is pivotable between a vertical position and a horizontal position. In the horizontal position, the plate is latchable below the grill so as to separate the grill from the fire box. In this horizontal position, the closed grill chamber functions as an oven. When the pivotable plate is dropped into the vertical position, the grill is in direct communication with the fire box and can be used in a normal grill fashion.

Abstract: An arrangement for shifting a piece of furniture through an opening in a vertical partition, such as a wall of a vehicle includes a linkage system which maintains the orientation of the piece of furniture as it is moved between two extreme positions, wherein one of the positions is offset to be lower than the other position. When incorporated in a vehicle, the lateral offset between the two extreme positions is approximately equal to the height of the floor of the vehicle above a ground surface so that if the piece of furniture is a kitchen unit, such as a stove, its working surfaces will be at the same height for use inside the vehicle as when used in the outer position outside the vehicle.

Abstract: An improved cart (50) for holding a barbecue kettle (10) is disclosed. The kettle (10) is supported by a pair of opposed side brackets (67) that are fastened on each side to a horizontal upper side member (53). The cart (50) has a tray assembly that includes a removable tray (70) resting on a sliding cradle (72) disposed between the upper side support members (53) that is movable between an opened and closed position. A closable storage bin (80) with an inclined bottom (81) is disposed between the upper side support members (53) and below the sliding cradle (72) and is accessible when the sliding cradle (72) is in an opened position. The cart (50) further includes a work surface adjacent the kettle (10) and between the upper side support members (53) and a shelf (95) for holding additional items disposed below the storage bin (80) and between the two side support structures (52).

Abstract: A portable cooking unit susceptible for use with either an interchangeable griddle surface or a grill surface. The cooking unit is provided with a serving/eating portion substantially surrounding the unit, at least a portion of which may be hingedly connected to permit easy storage. A removable grill unit is provided with a hinged top for conventionally cooking when the griddle is removed. Adjustable wheels are provided for easy storage or movement of the unit.

Abstract: A trailer and a trailer adapter for removably supporting a grill of the type having a generally rectangular firebox with opposing longer walls, transverse shorter walls, and a bed extending to form a bottom of the firebox. The trailer adapter has four connected panels also having a generally rectangular configuration with two opposing longer panels and transversely opposing shorter panels. The opposing longer panels and one shorter panel removably support the grill. The trailer has frame members supportively extending below the four panels of the trailer adapter. Mechanical fasteners releasably fasten the trailer adapter panels to the trailer frame so that the adapter may also be disengaged from the trailer.

Abstract: A mobile cooking apparatus including a trailer vehicle having an elongated chassis with front and rear end walls, open sides, and a platform supporting one or more elongated cooking units and at least one cover member having foldable cover segments adapted to be moved downward over the chassis in a closed position to confine the cooking units within the chassis and moved upward to an open position in which the cooking units are exposed for cooking operations upon the chassis. The cover members are so constructed that a side cover segment clearly displays indicia, such as advertising material in either its open or closed position. Each cooking unit includes an elongated burner unit which is detachable mounted upon the chassis and which detachably supports a cooker member of any one of various types, such as a deep-fat fryer, boiler, broiler, solid griddle or an open grill.
