  • Patent number: 8917185
Abstract: An appliance alarm assembly indicates unauthorized use of an appliance. The assembly includes a cover having a first wall and a perimeter wall coupled to and extending from the first wall defining an enclosed interior space. An attachment member is coupled to the cover for coupling the cover to an appliance such that the cover is positioned over a control panel of the appliance. A pressure switch is coupled to the cover and includes a sensor arm extending outwardly from the cover. The pressure switch is tripped by movement of the sensor arm. The pressure switch activates an alarm coupled to the cover upon the pressure switch being tripped by movement of the sensor arm.

  • Patent number: 8904971
Abstract: A method of controlling combustion of a gas appliance includes the following steps: a) Read a first burning data in a database; b) Burn gas according to the first burning data; c) Obtain a burning efficiency of the gas appliance; and d) Compare the burning efficiency with a predetermined value, and repeat the step b to the step d when the burning efficiency is higher than the value, or read a second burning data in the database and burn gas according to the second burning data when the burning efficiency is lower than the value. The present invention provides plural stages of burning according to the main component of the gas to be burned to increase the total burning efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20080156281
Abstract: A temperature regulation system operatively associated with a boiler is provided, including: a temperature sensor sensing hot-water restoration temperature of a space to be heated; a flow controller controlling the amount of restored hot water in the space; a hot-water restoration-flow detector detecting the amount of restored hot water flowing through a hot-water restoration pipe; a key input unit used to set hot-water restoration temperature and a minimum amount of restored hot water; and a controller controlling a flow controller so that when hot-water restoration temperature of a space sensed by a temperature sensor is equal to hot-water restoration setup temperature set by an operator, the amount of water required to maintain the hot-water restoration setup temperature flows into a hot-water restoration pipe.

  • Patent number: 7337828
Abstract: A heat transfer fluid medium (25) within the closed system is arranged to boil to form a vapor in the evaporation section (12) and such that release of heat from the condensation section (11) to the fluid to be heated (4A) causes the vapor to condense to liquid in the condensation section (11). The conduit forms a loop (10) and back flow in the loop (10) is prevented by providing a trap (27) of liquid in the conduit at a position adjacent to or at the evaporation section (12). The flow around the loop (10) at high speed sufficient to carry all condensate forwardly is caused solely by application of energy to the system by the heat source (21) without mechanical pumping. Inert gases are collected immediately upstream of the trap (27) and can be purged therefrom.

  • Patent number: 6470794
Abstract: The invention provides a fryer wherein the tasks of supplying and disposing oil are both simple and safe. An oil supply pipe (41) branches off from an oil pipe (34) between an oil tank (31) and an oil pump (33) of a fryer (1), and an oil supply valve (42) is provided at that connection portion for switching the intake route of the oil pump (33) between the oil tank (31) and the oil supply pipe (41). An oil disposal pipe (44) branches off from the oil pipe (34) between the oil pump (33) and an oil vat (11), and an oil disposal valve (45) is provided at that connection portion for switching the outflow route of the oil pump (33) between the oil vat (11) and the oil disposal pipe (44). Then, the valves are operated with an oil supply valve lever (43) and an oil disposal valve lever (46), and driving the oil pump (33), the tasks of supplying and discarding oil are carried out automatically.

  • Patent number: 6371010
Abstract: The invention provides a fryer that can prevent problems such as poorly cooked food when operation of an oil discharge valve is started and cooking oil is discharged, for example, to adjust the liquid level of the cooking oil within an oil vat. The fryer includes oil vats (13) and (14) for containing cooking oil, a burning device (17) for heating the cooking oil within the oil vats, an oil discharge pipe (33) that extends from the bottom of the oil vat and that discharges the cooking oil from a discharge opening at its end into a tank, and an oil discharge valve (35) that is disposed in the oil discharge pipe and that opens and closes the oil discharge pipe. Furthermore, the fryer is provided with a micro switch (47) and a contact piece (48) for detecting the open state of the oil discharge valve, and alarms (55) and (56) for giving a warning in accordance with the results of the detection by the micro switch (47) regarding the open state of the oil discharge valve.

  • Patent number: 6269808
Abstract: The period of pre-purging is selectively determined for improving the utility. When a main run switch is turned on, it is examined at S1 whether or not the temperature of the oil in a frypot measured with a thermal sensor is not higher than a first setting level. If the oil temperature is not higher than the first setting level, it is examined at S2 whether the post-combustion time exceeds 10 minutes or not. When the post-combustion time exceeds 10 minutes, the pre-purging is carried out at S3 for 80 seconds. When not, the pre-purging is performed at S4 for 5 seconds. Then, the combustion is commenced at S5.
