Hydrocarbon Reservoir Patents (Class 126/404)
  • Patent number: 6119681
Abstract: A cordless tool which includes a glue gun function and may include other functions includes a sleeve for receiving a stick of hot melt glue for sliding through the sleeve and a tip at the forward end of the sleeve for discharging the glue when melted. A butane heated gas burner heats the sleeve using gas permeable catalytic heater which surrounds or lies in intimate contact with the sleeve to communicate heat to the sleeve. The arrangement can be modified by closing off the catalytic heater for use to provide multi function.

  • Patent number: 5215076
Abstract: A gas powered heating tool comprises a handle and a head which comprises a soldering tool element. Gas from a reservoir in the handle is delivered through a gas supply pipe to a combustion chamber where it is converted to heat by a catalytic heating element for heating the tool element. A nozzle orifice in a nozzle delivers a jet of gas through the gas supply pipe. The gas supply pipe conducts heat from the combustion chamber to a heat transfer member which in turn conducts heat to the nozzle to prevent freezing of gas in the nozzle orifice. Heat is also conducted to gas supply control means in the handle to prevent gas freezing.

  • Patent number: 4688551
Abstract: A heat processing device using a liquefied gas comprises a nozzle for jetting a liquefied gas, a gas mixture generating member disposed at the exit of the nozzle for sucking external air through an external air intake port under the ejector effect of the gas jetted out from the nozzle to form a gas mixture, a fire nozzle member for jetting out the thus formed gas mixture to take place flaming combustion, and an air flow control member for controlling the flow rate of air flowing through the air intake port into the gas mixture generating member. The heat processing device further comprises an iron tip member having a combustion catalyst detachably disposed near the top end of the fire nozzle, in which the air intake port in the fully opened state is once closed fully and then fully opened again by the operation of the air flow rate control member interlocking with the operation of the shutter member for closing/opening the space between the fire nozzle and the combustion catalyst.

  • Patent number: 4387640
Abstract: For the purpose of marking an article, e.g. the fibrous surface coat of a tennis ball, by branding, there is provided a casing (1) resembling the casing of a portable lighter, said casing having disposed at one open end face (2) a symbol (5) projecting beyond two opposed casing edges (9) by an amount corresponding to the desired branding depth. Spaced from said end face (2) there is provided in said casing (1) a transverse wall (10) provided with at least one nozzle aperture (8) which is directed towards the symbol (5). Provided within said casing (1) are a liquid-gas tank (6) and an igniting mechanism (13) adapted to be actuated from the exterior of the device.
