Combined Top, Chimney And Burner Patents (Class 126/48)
  • Patent number: 8783241
Abstract: A Dutch oven lid holder having a horizontally oriented support ring. Three support leg members have their top ends telescopically received in tubular coupling members formed on the support ring. The area beneath the support ring and within the perimeter of the support leg members defines a lid storage space. A lid support assembly has a horizontally oriented tubular sleeve portion having a tension coil spring passing therethrough. The opposite ends of the coil spring are detachably secured to brackets on the support ring. A vertically oriented anchor leg has its top end adjustably received on a T-connector portion extending downwardly from the tubular sleeve portion. The anchor leg has a hook on its bottom end that loops under the handle of a Dutch oven lid. Anchor arms extending inwardly from the respective support leg members would maintain a downward force on the Dutch oven lid causing the coil spring to be place under tension.

  • Patent number: 6439223
Abstract: A lantern system capable of being selectively utilized as a source of light for illumination purposes and as a source of heat for cooking purposes, includes a lower assembly including a base constituting a closed container for the receipt of fuel. An upper assembly includes a chimney. A handle assembly includes a rigid U-shaped wire with small loops at its ends. A fluid delivery assembly includes a linear pipe secured with regard to the lower assembly and upper assembly with an inverted U-shaped tube secured with respect thereto and has an input end operatively associated with a mantle support within the chimney supporting a mantle to support combustion therein for illumination and heating. A dome assembly has an annular vertical wall with two notches positionable to straddle the bolts when used for illumination. A cooking assembly has legs extending downwardly with notches positionable to straddle the bolts.

  • Patent number: 4895132
Abstract: Apparatus for burning spirit or similar liquid fuel having a container (2) filled with a fuel absorbing mass with a partly exposed surface from which the fuel being burned is evaporated. A draught or burner tube (7) is so arranged with respect to the exposed surface that inlet flow of combustion air into the tube is safeguarded. The fuel container comprises a central opening which is limited by an edge part (5) which extends upwards with respect to the top surface of the container and with which a moveable control and extinguishing device is arranged to cooperate by completely or partly covering the opening for control and extinguishing purposes. A seat ring (12) is placed between the edge part (5) and a control and extinguishing plate (8) at such a distance above a heat protective metal plate that spirit vapor and remaining flames if any are burned out between the control and extinguishing plate (8) and the heat protective metal plate (10) above the metal plate (10).

  • Patent number: 4050442
Abstract: An emergency mantle lamp is disclosed for use with a gas stove. The mantle lamp is adapted to be placed over a gas burner on a stove top. When the gas is turned on a perforated conical base conducts the flame upwardly to a formed mantle surrounded by a glass chimney. The mantle heated by the flame emits a fairly bright light for illuminating a room.
