Central Air Tube Patents (Class 126/71)
  • Patent number: 7637258
Abstract: An open “funnel shaped” Inner Burner inside an open top Outer Casing. The casings closed base has a central hole accommodating the burners small open bottom Ash Exit. The space between the Inner Burner wall and Outer Casing wall forms an Annular Air Plenum that's supplied by an electric variable speed blower. Air enters the Burner Combustion space through perforations in the Burner/Plenum wall. This ensures rapid ignition and controls combustion rate (Temp). This also precipitates ash from burner Ash Exit, through the Ash Chute and into Storage Container fitted to outer casings base. A Radial diffuser centered on the heating surface provides a variable speed Lateral Air Sheet between heating and grill surfaces, instantly blowing “Smoke and Flare-Ups” to the outer burner perimeter. Unit is designed as a “Drop-In” unit to fit a manufacturer BBQ cart suitably equipped to specify basic installation requirements.

  • Patent number: 5839375
Abstract: An apparatus and method for burning organic farm bedding waste includes a firebox having an air injector disposed within the firebox. A heat exchanger is also disposed within the firebox above the air injector. The fuel to be burned, a mixture of organic farm bedding waste, is piled in the firebox surrounding the air injector and heat exchanger. By injecting air into the pile of fuel, the fuel is burned from the inside out, surrounding the heat exchanger with the burning fuel. The unburned fuel acts to insulate the burning fuel from the walls of the firebox. The apparatus can be used as an incinerator or as a furnace to heat a building.

  • Patent number: 4753217
Abstract: The invention provides a compartmented gas fired heater in a cabinet-type outer stove casing. The outer stove casing has a downwardly positioned covered bottom with adjustable legs at four corners and an upwardly positioned opened top edge. A heat chamber insert having a covered bottom and an opened top is fitted inside the outer stove casing and retained so a corridor exists between all wall surfaces and the two bottoms. The top of the two sections are covered over the corridor area by a framing cover leaving the top of the heat chamber insert open as a hot air outlet. A caged outlet cover fits over the hot air outlet. Cool air is passed into the heat chamber insert through an air inlet casing. When a controlled gas burner is fired in the corridor below the bottom of the heat insert chamber, heat spirals up the corridors, is conducted through the outer stove casing and through the heat chamber insert walls and convected up through the top hot air outlet.

  • Patent number: 4445496
Abstract: A solid fuel burning heater with improved efficiency in burning logs. A housing is divided by a louvered internal wall into front and back sections having combustion and heating chambers respectively. The louvered wall terminates below the top of the housing providing a crossover space through which hot, combusted gases flow from the combustion chamber to the heating chamber. A vertical heat transfer duct extends through the top and bottom of the housing and has open ends in free communication with external ambient air. Front and rear flues are connected to the combustion and heating chambers and these are interconnected by a main flue leading to a chimney. A damper is provided in the front flue. The combustion chamber comprises a primary combustion zone on a fuel-supporting grate and a secondary combustion zone above it. Adjustable draft openings at the front of the housing control air input to the combustion zones.
