Abstract: The present invention relates to a brush assembly for cleaning metal, the assembly comprising one or more brush heads, each brush head comprising a bundle of conductive filaments, having a working end adapted for contacting metal, and a terminal end, the brush head connectable to an electricity supply, and a housing connected to and retaining at least one sheath, each sheath at least partially surrounding at least one brush head, wherein each brush head and its respective sheath are movable in relation to each other by operating an adjustment mechanism and the working end of the brush head and the sheath are selectively fixable in relation to each other.

Abstract: The device includes a wedge piece constructed for use in the non-surgical treatment of interproximal dental caries. A plunger is provided for driving substances through a passage in or on the wedge piece for enabling the delivery, to the site a carious lesion, of SDF or another substance that is effective for directly or indirectly killing, or biologically damaging, carious bacteria.

Abstract: Provided are multifunctional cases, device and kits for storing, peeling and cutting a miswak twig. Generally, the multifunctional case comprises a case portion and a cap portion each of which may have one or more compartments therein. The case is configured to store one or more miswak twigs therein and to contain an optionally removable clipper for cutting the twigs. The cap portion contains an optionally removable peeler and may further comprise a storage compartment and/or a cluster of bristling picks. The case may also comprise a mechanism to advance and to retract a miswak twig. The kits provided comprise any of the multifunctional cases or devices described herein and one or more miswak twigs stored within the case or device.

Abstract: A hybrid dental tool is disclosed herein. The hybrid dental tool includes a flosser having a flossing head. The flossing head can include a filament stretching between the first arm and a second arm. The flossing head can include a pick receptacle. The hybrid dental tool can further include a pick that has a first end and a second end. The pick can be sized and shaped to fit within the pick receptacle such that the first and second ends are protected. The pick can releasably connect with the flossing head to allow the separation of the pick from the flossing head.

Abstract: The device includes a shim component constructed for use in the non-surgical treatment of interproximal carious dental lesions. A plunger may be provided for driving substances through a tube-like channel or bore in the shim component, or an electromagnetic energy-transmissive material may fill the channel, in either case for delivering to the site of the lesion a medium that is effective for directly or indirectly killing, or biologically damaging, the carious bacteria.

Abstract: A toothpick assembly including a toothpick and a case within which the toothpick is detachably engaged. The toothpick includes a tapered tip which is generally triangular in cross-section having opposed sides connected by a generally flat end and an apex. A bristle array is provided on each side and the end and apex are free of bristles. The bristle array is configured as a sinuous or serpentine wave. Bristles in each array are smallest closest to an end of the tip and progressively increase in size as you move away therefrom. The toothpick is movable within the case's bore between a fully retracted, a partially extended and a fully extended position. A locking mechanism selectively locks the toothpick in any of these positions. When the toothpick is to be changed, the locking mechanism is disengaged and the toothpick is slid out of the bore and is replaced with another toothpick.

Abstract: A floss pick including a body with a handle and a head having a length of floss therein. The handle defines an aperture with a toothpick member disposed therein. The toothpick member is connected to the handle by first and second bridge members. In a first instance, the bridge members are broken to detach the toothpick member. In a second instance, the bridge members are twisted to pivot the toothpick member from a non-use position to a use position where it is disposed at an angle relative to the body. The toothpick member is pivoted by engaging a terminal end thereof with an index finger of the hand in which the body is held. The angle of the toothpick member relative to the body is adjusted using the index finger to permit picking of the teeth in any region of the user's mouth without changing hands.

Abstract: An inter-dental brush device has a handle with a cartridge removably housed therein. The cartridge has a plurality of chambers each appointed for housing at least one replaceable inter-dental brush. The cartridge is appointed to be rotated to align and select one of the chambers for feed out of the selected inter-dental brush. A base portion is removably attached to the handle, which includes rotation engagement means adapted to interact with the cartridge for rotational engagement, alignment and selection of the chamber and visa vie the inter-dental brush housed therein. An oral portion is removably attached to the other end of the handle, and includes an aperture for feeding out the selected inter-dental brush. A delivery means in association with the handle and the oral portion is provided and is adapted to feed out the selected inter-dental brush. Used, worn out brush is removed or cut off by an optional slidable cutter provided on the brush device.

Used, worn out brush is cut off by a slidable cutter provided on an angled portion of the handle. Fresh inter-dental brush is fed out from the continuous inter-dental feedstock by turning a knob on the handle. The protrusion length of the inter-dental brush is controlled by the number of turns. The knob is connected to a gear that pushes against the feedstock, driving the brush through an aperture in the angled portion of the handle. Within the cartridge, the feedstock is removably attached to one swivel and is wrapped around a second swivel. The swivels have a brake that produces a taut feedstock as the brush is fed out. The cartridge may contain a single roll with a brake instead of a pair of swivels.

Abstract: A dental flossing device comprising a handle and a floss holder. The floss holder comprises a base portion and a pair of spaced-apart arms accommodating dental floss therebetween. The floss holder has greater flexibility in a direction laterally perpendicular to the direction of the length of said length of dental floss than in the direction of the floss itself. This flexibility is provided either by incorporating at least one convoluted section into either the base portion or the pair of spaced-apart arms of the floss holder, or by providing either the base portion or the pair of spaced-apart arms with a reduced cross sectional dimension in the lateral direction generally perpendicular to the floss than in the direction generally parallel to the floss, or by means of a groove in the neck by which the floss holder is attached to the handle.

The elongated handle comprises a first end portion and second end portion with spring tension attached to handle. The detachable dental floss has a proximal end and distil end. The proximal end of dental floss is attached to spring tension and the destil end of the dental floss with the brush is engaged to the pistil end of handle in a way that allows the dental floss to move freely with the spring tension.

Abstract: A compact dental appliance includes a protective cap which is reversibly attachable to either end of the appliance, so that removal of the cap exposes a dental hygiene tool, and re-attachment of the cap to the appliance in the opposite orientation re-configures the cap as a handle or handle extension. The illumination source directs light toward the end of the dental cleaning tool so that the light is always pointed exactly where it is needed during a dental cleaning procedure. The cover portion may include a mirror which further aids a user in viewing the dental cavity while using the dental cleaning tool. The cover portion is configured to attach to the handle portion to enclose the dental cleaning tool when the dental cleaning tool is not in use.

Abstract: A toothbrush that provides, besides the conventional bristles for brushing the teeth, other basic periodontal components recommended by dentists for perfect cleaning, massaging and stimulating the gum tissue, all in one single, convenient artifact. The brush component is molded into one end of the handle, in conventional manner, and the opposite end of the handle contains two parallel cylinders for housing the two periodontal tools which are extended and retracted with buttons, one on each side of the handle, through a slit in each cylinder wall, establishing a means for this movement. The buttons engage two sliders, the ends of each hold extension tubes that capture and retain the dental tools and provide replacement capabililty. Each cylinder contains a hinged close-out cover for protection of the periodontal tools from contamination and loss of the cover.

Abstract: Floss dispensers comprising a body configured for holding and dispensing floss and a gripping arm extending from the body configured to facilitate gripping by the user while floss is dispensed and cut from the dispenser. The body houses a spool of floss and includes a hole for dispensing the floss and a hole for connecting the floss dispenser to a key ring or chain. A floss cutter is included in the body or the gripping arm. In one embodiment the gripping arm comprises an operational key. The gripping arm is either integrally or removably connected with the body. In one embodiment, the body comprises a clam shell case configured to hold the head of a key. In another embodiment, the body comprises a sheath type pocket configured to hold the head of a key. The floss dispensers may also comprise other features, including lights and a toothpick.

In a storage state both the toothpick and the interdental brush are concealed in the case, or in a use state of the interdental brush or the toothpick a pushing of the trigger member toward the first or the second end causes the interdental brush or the toothpick to project from the first or the second opening respectively.

In the stored position, the spool of dental floss is nested within the fork to provide a compact overall geometry. After its use, the fibrous material and the two handles may be discarded.
