    Abstract: Disclosed are three buss carts designed for holding glassware, silverware, and dishes removed from tables in a bussing process. Also disclosed is a combination cart that allows a table to be cleared by one person. A glassware cart includes a basin, which drains into a holding tank, for dumping liquid from glassware before the glassware is placed in tubs stored on the cart. A silverware cart includes separate trays, each containing a presoak solution, for each type of silverware. A dish cart includes a plurality of trays for holding a large number of dishes, and has a central chute to allow food leftovers to be directed into a scrap trap. A liquid holding tank below the scrap trap catches any liquid from the dishes, and allows the dishes to be pre-rinsed before they are removed from the cart. The combination cart includes the features from the other carts.

    Abstract: A parts container to be utilized within the liquid cleaning solution of an ultrasonic bath which is to be formed within an enclosing side wall having an open top and an enclosed bottom. Mounted within the enclosing side wall and a plurality of ultrasonic transducers which are to supply energy from an ultrasonic generator (not shown). The ultrasonic transducers may have an energy emitting cone which functions to emit the ultrasonic energy in a narrow beam. Each of the transducers are adjustably mounted in the side wall so as to be able to manually select the direction of the narrow beam. Also, each transducer could be gimbally mounted on a freely wobbling plate so the transducer energy could randomly sweep across the parts that are being cleaned.

    Abstract: An article cleaning machine for removing surface contaminants from the articles includes a tub adapted to receive a cleaning liquid therein. A frame assembly is pivotably mounted within the tub and is oscillated in an arcuate path by means of a motor-driven crank. A tumbler is carried by the frame assembly for conjoint oscillation therewith, and articles to be cleaned are placed within the tumbler. The tumbler has an internal ridge extending laterally across the bottom of the tumbler, thereby providing for a tumbling of the articles as the tumbler is oscillated. A wire mesh basket, submerged in cleaning liquid in the tub, is carried by the oscillating frame assembly, so that additional (and larger) articles to be cleaned may be placed in the basket and oscillated in the liquid. A pump circulates the cleaning liquid through conduit means to the tub and to the tumbler. The liquid reservoir in the tub is pumped into a filter to remove particulates.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for rinsing electroplating solution from the surfaces of articles so that substantially complete recovery of the electroplating solution is achieved. The apparatus is preferably receivable on a wall of an electroplating tank and comprises an open housing-like structure having a splash wall and an open trough beneath the splash wall, and a rack for supporting at least one plated article in front of the splash wall above the trough. For use of the apparatus in accordance with the method, an article is supported on the rack in front of the splash wall, and a rinse solution, such as water, is sprayed onto the article in order to rinse electroplating solution from the surfaces thereof. The rinse solution and any plating solution intermixed therewith gravitate downwardly from the article and the splash wall and are received in the trough and then transferred to the plating tank.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an arrangement which enables highly efficient and convenient food preparation. The arrangement comprises a sink having two adjacent basins. A colander and a cutting board are arranged in one of the sinks in such a way that the cutting board is supported by the top edge of the sink while the colander is slidably supported on rails beneath the cutting board. The colander is conveniently storable beneath the cutting board but, in use, is simply slid out from beneath the cutting board whereby food chopped up on the cutting board can be scraped off into the colander for rising or draining. An overflow region may be provided in the dividing wall between the two sinks so that if one sink becomes blocked, water overflows into the second sink, and hence to the drain, rather than overflowing onto the floor.
