The second shell member may be adapted to mate with the first shell member and define an interior cavity when the tent system is in a closed position. The utility rails may be coupled to the second shell member and adapted to support items on top of the second shell member. The articulating mechanism may couple the first shell member to the second shell member and may transfer a weight of the second shell member and the utility rails to a roof of the vehicle when the tent system is in the open position.

  • Patent number: 10066416
Abstract: A cover mechanism comprises a support frame with base supports and a multi-part expandable cover engaged with the base supports by grappling members or other means. The expandable cover may have a pliable exterior cover and a set of integral ribs, the expandable cover being foldable when not deployed and being expandable to form a self-supporting structure when deployed. The base supports may provide a sliding track for the grappling members to facilitate expansion of the cover. The base supports may be adapted to rest on the ground or buoyant so that the cover can be used with watercraft. The expandable cover may be deployed by pivoting it from a folded position to an upright position, sliding the cover along the base support tracks, and pivoting the cover from the front of the base supports downwards, forming an enclosure thereby.

The system relies upon a box shape formed from four vertical members, with an arched member extending between each of the adjacent vertical members. The rear vertical members being higher than the front vertical members, with angled members, or rafters extending from the rear vertical members (or a cross-member at the same height thereof) to the front vertical members (or the corresponding arch). In the configuration shown, the angled members or rafters are co-planar. The structure has substantial symmetry and aesthetic design.

Abstract: An apparatus for providing shade or protection from the elements to an audio console includes frame, a panel, a couple of clips, a telescopic leg assembly, and a couple of magnetic leveling pads. The frame upholds the panel which prevents light and precipitation from passing through and coming into contact with the area beneath the panel. The couple of clips mount the apparatus onto the displays of the audio console. The telescopic leg assembly adjusts the angle of the panel in respect to the keyboard of the audio console. The couple of magnetic leveling pads fastens the telescopic leg assembly to a neighboring surface and fixes the angle of the telescopic leg assembly.

Abstract: An awning arm is provided in which internal components are concealed and in which tension is adjustable. The arm includes an elbow that includes an outer knuckle that includes a top tang and a bottom tang, the tangs rotatably engaged to a circular encasement of an inner knuckle via a plurality of bushings. Two hubs are concealed by the encasement and the tangs, the hubs secured within the two tangs. A webbing is secured within the hubs, a pull upon the webbing urging the rotation of the hubs and consequently the outer knuckle and the elbow as a whole. Arm extrusions are attached to the outer and inner knuckles, with the rotation of the elbow causing the bending and straightening of the arm. Components that prevent the arm from overextending are concealed within the elbow.
