Abstract: An umbrella includes a supporting frame, an umbrella frame supported by the supporting frame, an umbrella awning, and a functional module. The umbrella includes a guiding arm, an upper hub securely coupled at a top end of the guiding arm, a plurality of awning arms radially and pivotally extended from the upper hub, and an awning cap detachably coupled on the upper hub. The umbrella awning is supported by the awning arms to define a shading area under the umbrella awning, wherein a center portion of the umbrella awning is securely sandwiched between the upper hub and the awning cap to retain the umbrella awning in position. The functional module is detachably coupled on the awning cap for providing an additional function of the umbrella.

Abstract: An umbrella cover system for covering an umbrella is provided. The umbrella has a center post. The umbrella cover system comprises a round cover having a first side, a second side, and an outer perimeter edge. An aperture is formed in the center of the cover with the aperture having a center point and the center point of the aperture being equidistant from every point of the perimeter edge. A fastening mechanism is positioned between the cover and the umbrella for releasably securing the cover to the umbrella. Upon positioning the first side of the cover against the umbrella with the center post of the umbrella extending through the aperture, the fastening means are activated to releasably secure the cover directly against the umbrella.

Abstract: Improvements in protection with a sunbrella-sunscreen made of a porous, nonporous, non-permeable fabrics such as mesh silver nylon and silver polyester used to protect one from sun rays and precipitating rain. The sunbrella-sunscreen canopy is removable and changeable. The covering can be changed from fabric, material, properties and color(s). The sunscreen can be worn with any head wear, cap, hat, or the user can use a special head wear which is specifically to be worn with the Sunscreen. The sunbrella can further be secured within an umbrella type frame that can be carried like an umbrella. When not used the mechanical apparatus sunbrella is collapsible and foldable to a smaller size to be stored in a small pouch. When not used the mesh sunscreen, the nonporous, non-permeable fabric is collapsible and foldable to a smaller size to be stored in a small pouch.

Abstract: An umbrella frame structured for use in a strong wind conditions such as those conditions frequently encountered on a boat traveling at relatively high speeds. An umbrella frame assembly includes a reinforcing assembly connected thereto in a supportive, operative orientation thereby providing a stable support for an umbrella canopy which can remain open even during travel of the boat. The frame assembly can be modified to support canopies of varying shapes and sizes and the frame assembly can be easily removed, for storage purposes, from a supporting base which may be mounted on or connected to a boat.

Abstract: A canopy system for increasing the coverage of multiple umbrellas has been disclosed. The canopy system includes a canopy portion and at least one fastener for removeably attaching the canopy portion to a first and second umbrella. The fastener can attach to unmodified portions of an umbrella so that the canopy system may be used with existing umbrellas and umbrellas not especially manufactured to couple with a canopy. The canopy system may advantageously include a support structure for supporting the canopy portion in a desired shape. The length of the canopy system can be adjustable and the system can be easily collapsed for storage and portability.

Abstract: A curtain suitable for attachment to the perimeter of an umbrella has a flexible sheet with an upper edge, a lower edge, a first side edge and a second side edge. The flexible sheet also has a front surface and a rear surface, each surface defining an area between about 8 square feet and about 120 square feet. Still further, the flexible sheet has one or more upper edge fastener portions disposed proximate to the upper edge for attaching the upper edge to a foreign surface, and has reversible retaining means for retaining the lower edge at a plurality of locations on the flexible sheet above the lower edge. The frame forms a periphery of a shape, such as a circle, square, hexagon, etc., and the frame is capable of movement between a folded configuration and an unfolded configuration. A canopy is attached to the frame, and may be detachable there from, and is also capable of movement with the frame between the folded configuration and the unfolded configuration. A stem having a first end attached to the frame along the periphery and extending there from allows the user to position the umbrella to achieve ideal coverage during use. The stem may include a handle formed at a second end opposite the first end, for improved gripping and control of the umbrella.
