The tent body includes a sunshade part and at least two fixed columns arranged on the sunshade part. A movable column relatively movably mounted to each of the at least two fixed columns, and two diagonal positions of the shelf are mounted with a supporting rod respectively, the supporting rods are connected to the fixed columns, and the shelf is connected to the fixed columns. The structure thereof utilizes the foldability of the folding tent body, the retractability of the movable column, and the convenient mounting of the shelf to achieve the ease assembling of the shelf, and greatly reduces the time of assembling the outdoor barbecue tent capable of quick assembling and folding.

The top assembly includes a plurality of inverted foldable Y-shaped subframes attached together and to a top of the telescoping scissor frame in a manner that combines the two to form a stable umbrella-like overcenter top frame attached atop the telescoping scissor frame. A drawstring mechanism is attached to a peak of the structure to hold the top frame in an expanded position. Flexible covers are attached to the two frames, and a drawstring arrangement on the top cover allows flaps to be lifted to form 360 degrees of windows.

The fourth side hangs from the tension span between the two ends of the rod sequence. The fourth side has a flap at the bottom. The support person stands on this flap with his or her back to the wind. This prevents billowing and raising of the blind by the wind. An occupant can enter this blind before or after it is raised by the support person.

The traveler assemblies each include oppositely disposed wheels which ride within the continuous track and a hook member extending from the frame assembly for removable attachment to a respective top or bottom peripheral edge of a curtain. The curtain can be provided with a camouflage pattern to suit any environment and is pulled closed, about the continuous track of the upper and lower frame assemblies, to define front, back and side walls. The front, back and side walls include window openings with closure flaps to facilitate viewing and firing of a weapon therethrough from within the blind.

Abstract: A knockdown portable shelter includes two spaced supports each formed of elongated members that can be separated from each other at couplings securing the elongated members to each other. The elongate members include leg portions and a roof portion. A sheet like covering material extends between the roof portion of the spaced supports and at least parts of the leg portions. The covering material is substantially more pliable along the direction extending between the two spaced supports than along a perpendicular direction. Hinges allow folding of the material along lines extending between corresponding couplings. Disconnection of elongate members at the couplings allows the covering material to be folded along the hinges and rolled up along the direction extending between the supports. One example of a suitable covering material is single face corrugated hollow core material. The elongate members are preferably hollow plastic tubes and the couplings are hollow plastic elbows made of PVC.

Abstract: A light-weight shelter to protect a user from exposure to chill winds and material entrained therein has a peripheral wall inclined inwardly. The upper edge of the wall is supported by substantially vertical elements which also hold down the lower edge of the wall. Wind-entrained material, upon contacting the outer surface of the inwardly inclined wall, initially will tend to move upward. The wind passes over a sheltered zone defined within the wall, and any entrained matter is slowed down by friction with the wall and eventually falls to accumulate around a bottom edge outside of the wall. In one aspect of the invention, the wall is attached to a base having an outwardly extending portion on which the initially entrained particulate matter accumulates, and one or more outwardly extending flanges are provided to extend outwardly from the wall to even more effectively intercept entrained particulate matter from oncoming wind. The wall may be made to any suitable height.

Abstract: An improved tent comprising a fabric enclosure having a floor, walls, and a roof, supported by an external, free-standing frame comprising upwardly extending leg poles, roof poles; and yoke connectors having three tubular members for releasably connecting each pole to at least two other poles. The poles have tubular ends which are dimensioned to fit within the tubular members of the yoke connectors. Each yoke connector also has a flange extending between tubular members, with an eye in the flange. The fabric enclosure hangs tautly from the frame through the use of one or more loops, one or more pole sleeves, and connectors releasably engageable with the eyes in the flanges attached to the yoke connectors.

Abstract: An apparatus for visually shielding a corpse from view at a crime scene includes a plurality of free-standing shroud support stands and a plurality of rectangular shroud panels of flexible, opaque sheet material. Each shroud support stand is formed with at least one upright post for supporting the shroud panels in a vertical disposition. The shroud support stands are placed at appropriate locations about the body of a deceased person at a crime or accident scene. The shroud support panels are strung from one post to the next to form a vertical, enclosing barrier that visually shields the body from view by spectators in the vicinity of the crime or accident scene. By visually shielding the body from view, police personnel are able to reduce spectator anxiety and the likelihood of emotional outbursts and disturbances among spectators while awaiting the arrival of personnel from the coroner's office.

Abstract: A self containing enclosure for protection from killer bees comprising an enclosure formed of a flexible transparent plastic material selected from the class of plastic materials. The enclosure is positionable about a vertically extending axis and has an oval cross sectional configuration. A circular aperture is formed in the upper half of the enclosure. A mesh is positioned in the aperture for allowing a user inside the enclosure to see therethrough and to breath therethrough. An opening is formed in the enclosure along a vertical extent thereof. The opening is provided with pile type fasteners adjacent to the opposite edges for overlapping and coupling therewith allowing a user to enter and exit.

Abstract: A beach umbrella anchor bag is filled with a loose weighted material (i.e., sand or the like) and secured about the shaft of a beach umbrella to secure the umbrella in place against movement due to wind or other causes. The bag includes a relatively small bottom opening, allowing the shaft to be passed therethrough to penetrate the underlying surface for greater security. The bottom opening may be closed with a flap secured thereover, so the bag may be used for the carriage of other articles when not anchoring an umbrella or the like. The upper portion of the bag includes umbrella shaft attachment panels therein, which secure to the umbrella shaft to prevent relative movement therebetween, and the top opening of the bag includes a draw string to secure the mouth of the bag around the shaft to prevent spillage of material from the bag.

The screen has a top screen panel and four vertical lateral wall screen panels, combining to form a canopy lowered over and covering a portion of a sunbather's torso. The screen panels are made from a material impervious to light in the visible spectrum and permeable to UV-A light. The top and two lateral screen panels are stored on reels enclosed in respective housings. The remaining two lateral screen panels are fastened, as by hook and loop material, to vertical legs holding the top screen panel above and spaced apart from the sunbather. Legs are adjustable as to height of the privacy screen. The two lateral screen panel housings are integral with two of four legs, which hold the canopy in its assembled configuration. The two remaining legs have external surfaces bearing hook and loop material for assembly of the canopy.

Abstract: A folding windbreak and shade screen comprising a plurality of sections attached by means of hinges. The folding windbreak and shade screen is secured in place in the dam configuration by means of ground stakes slidably disposed within lower housings attached to the sections. The ground stakes may be locked into upper housings in order to stack one folding windbreak and shade screen in the dam configuration atop another folding windbreak and shade screen in the dam configuration. The folding windbreak and shade screen may be installed in an arch configuration by means of arch stakes slidably disposed within arch housings, and a variety of guy lines.

Abstract: A circular mat having an outer rim that is reinforced by a steel ribbon keeps its shape while laid out and also allows for ready folding and storage. Tent stakes serves to hold the mat in place and a central hole allows the insertion of an umbrella. A shelter is capable of being erected over the mat using flexible, curved tent poles that inset into a pair of three way hinged tent steaks. This shelter serves to keep out the elements when the weather turns for the worse.

Abstract: A portable beach cache having a plurality of fabric panels and rigid support members arranged in a picture frame configuration for sheltering the user from wind and wind-blown debris, such as sand. Fold-out feet provide support in soft sand. A handle is provided to simplify carrying and a hook and loop strap secures the portable beach cache in its stowably disposed position. The portable beach cache is compact when folded and light enough to be easily carried by hand. A second embodiment is disclosed wherein the portable beach cache has a single screen panel and a plurality of rigid vertical support members and elongate rods. The screen is attached between two of the vertical support members in the fashion of a tennis net. The vertical support members have pointed ends which are driven into the ground. The elongate rods are then attached to the vertical members to provide strength and to stretch the screen panel taut.

Abstract: A collapsible portable shelter or changing room comprising a body of circular bellows like configuration capable of manufacture on current plastic mold equipment with current plastic materials. The bellows like walls overlap vertically and integrally down the side around a large aperture in a spring-like manner from tension on the rib folds by manual downward pressure. The accordion-like wall, when fully collapsed, substantially fits within an optional carry case fastened to the shelter floor. The structure is raised for use from a collapsed into an extended form by manual release of fasteners, causing the bellows wall to spring upward, without assistance, providing a large interior volume sufficient to enclose a person for use as a toilet shelter or changing room.

Abstract: A wind screen apparatus is set forth wherein a plural series of screen sections are provided with post members secured therebetween. The screen sections include cylindrical pockets orthogonally aligned relative to the longitudinal extent of each screen section for securely receiving an associated post therein. Each post includes a pointed lowermost end for securement each post into a soil or sand support. The screen organization further includes electrical line and illumination members mounted on each screen section for illumination of each screen section for visibility during periods of limited light condition, such as during the evening hours. Further, a support member with handles mounted on each end thereof is provided for transport of the apparatus when the apparatus is inter-rolled about itself.

The bellows side wall is integral with the floor and top ring, is freestanding in an extended position and collapsible into a low profile form for quick and easy transportation, storage or shipment.The fabrication elements used for the manufacture of this invention may be of plastic, rubber or other pliable matter. While polyethylene is the preferred material through a blow mold or rotational mold process, a wide variety of other materials capable of being formed into films or sheets can be satisfactorily employed. The primary requirement is that the bellows like wall provide the flexibility and durability necessary to withstand wind, sun, salt water and other elements without damage, warpage, erosion or distortion.

Abstract: A sunshade is provided by a pair of rigid upright support members and a cross member connected to their upper ends and from which hangs by one edge a panel of flexible material. When the lower ends of the support members are pushed into the ground along a line perpendicular to the direction from which the wind blows, the panel is blown by the wind to a substantially horizontal position to provide a shaded area of a size to protect the face of a sun bather lying prone on the ground.

Abstract: A method of producing a chamber assembly suitable for use in contaminated environments comprises arranging first and second chambers together, at or adjacent to the site at which they are to be used. Each chamber comprises a preformed enclosure comprising sheet material and support means for the enclosure and the chambers are arranged such that a side wall of the first chamber abuts a side wall of the second chamber. The abutting side walls are secured together and means are provided whereby the interior of at least one of the chambers is accessible without passing through the other chamber, and is also directly accessible from within the other chamber. A kit of parts for producing such an assembly, chambers for use in the method, and kits for producing such chambers are also described.

Abstract: A combination beach blanket and wind protector device, including a flexible mat that is movable from a rolled-up, closed, carry position to a flat, open position, wherein the mat is disposed in a substantially horizontal position on a selected ground site, side and head panels being joined to the mat along fold lines thereof, and a plurality of openings being located in said mat in spaced relation adjacent to the side and head panels. A plurality of posts are provided, each of which extends through an opening in the mat for penetration into the ground for fixing the mat in the flat, open position thereon. A first fastening element is joined to the side and head panels, and a second fastening element is secured to the posts, wherein the first and second fastening elements cooperate for mounting the side and head panels on the posts, thereby locating the side and head panels in an upright position for sheltering an occupant who is lying on the mat.

Abstract: A windbreak which is formed of a post secured to a frame and sheet material is secured to the frame. The frame is comprised of grooved rods which secure sheet material via tube-like strips. The post is comprised of a plurality of rods and a clamp secures the rods. The adjoining rods define channels and the clamp includes projections which extend into the channels. Fittings are secured to the upper ends of the rod of the post and the frame is secured to the fittings. Fittings are further secured to the frame by dowel-like members.
