Valve Heads And/or Seats Patents (Class 137/329.01)
  • Patent number: 11524545
Abstract: A switching valve for an air spring arrangement of a motor vehicle, which switching valve has a valve housing arrangement which, in the installed state, is arranged between a first air volume and a second air volume. A valve closing member arrangement is actuatable by an actuator is provided such that the valve closing member arrangement, in a first position, fluidically connects the first air volume to the second air volume and, in a second position, fluidically separates the first air volume from the second air volume. The valve closing member arrangement is designed as a rotary slide arrangement. A rotary slide member with first openings is provided between two valve closing bodies, wherein, in the first position, the first openings correspond with second openings of the valve closing body such that a fluidic connection can be produced between the first and the second air volume.

  • Patent number: 8763987
Abstract: A butterfly valve comprises: a body including a valve opening; and a flapper rotatably mounted about a rotation axis so as to be movable relative to the valve opening. The flapper is rotatable at least 180° about the rotation axis so that the flapper is movable to at least one fully opened position, at least one fully closed position 90° apart from the fully opened position, and a third position, either fully opened or fully closed, 180° from the other like position. In one embodiment the flapper is rotatable at least 360° about the rotation axis so that the flapper is movable to each of two opened positions 180° apart, and two closed positions 180° apart from each other and 90° and 270° apart from each of the fully opened positions. The valve can be easily calibrated and controlled, and cleaned to extend the useful service life between cleanings.

  • Patent number: 8701553
Abstract: A valve system for a container or vat, such as a food cooking vat. The valve system includes a valve body and stem having a valve head with a sealing member. The valve body has an outlet configured to be in fluid communication with the vat, and the sealing member is in fluid communication with the outlet and the chamber and is selectively operable between a discharge position, allowing the vat's contents to drain from the chamber, and a closed position, allowing the contents to remain in the chamber. The sealing member preferably is comprised of polymer and has an O-type sealing ring interposed between a first portion and a second portion, where the diameter of the second portion is smaller than the diameter of the first portion. Embodiments may also include a snap-fit connection of the sealing member to the valve head.

  • Patent number: 6595235
Abstract: There are provided a fluid flow control valve and an orifice for a fluid flow control valve. The orifice defines two seats against which a diaphragm of the valve can be urged. Each seat defines a particular contour, including one or more channels, slots, and or protrusions that form flow control passages through which fluid flows between the diaphragm and the orifice. The orifice can be configured in either of two orientations so that either seat can be disposed toward the diaphragm. As the pressure differential across the valve increases, the diaphragm is urged more firmly against the seat facing the diaphragm and the diaphragm partially closes the flow control passages, thereby regulating the flow to a substantially uniform volumetric rate. The contours of the two seats can be the same, or each seat can be different to provide a unique controlled flow rate.
