  • Patent number: 10041560
Abstract: An apparatus and method for a piston head assembly for an R/C car shock absorber provides for differing flow rates through the piston depending on whether the piston is presently in rebound or compression movement. A piston head may be constructed with a plurality of separate recesses further having at least first and second one way valve holes and a plurality of two way valve holes surrounding the central recess. In one embodiment, two sealing members fit within two separate recesses whereby the sealing member keeps the first and second one way valve holes generally closed. When fluid flow contacts the sealing member during the rebound stroke, fluid flows through the first and second one way valve holes moves the seal member to the open position thereby providing more fluid flow and a quicker rebound damping response.

When in fluid holding configuration, the piston member sealingly engages an inlet bore of the insert shell. • Patent number: 8267162
Abstract: A bi-directional pressure relief valve for a plate fin heat exchanger including an elongated heat exchanger tube having ends and a channel for the flow of a fluid from one end of the tube to the opposite end and a bi-directional reed valve positioned within the channel. The reed valve allows fluid to flow within the channel in either direction when a pressure differential across the reed valve is sufficient to urge the reed valve to an open position, thereby enabling the heat exchanger to be used independent of the direction of fluid flow through the heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 8141577
Abstract: A liquid filled pressure/vacuum valve for underground storage tanks has a body having an inlet coupled to the UST and an outlet coupled to atmosphere. The valve has a suction zone disposed in the body and fluidly coupled to the inlet. The valve has a pressure zone disposed in the body and fluidly coupled to the outlet, with the suction zone in fluid communication with the pressure zone. The valve has a separator disposed in fluid communication with the outlet and the pressure zone, and a fluid that flows between the suction zone and pressure zone. The flow of fluid is determined by an increased force due to a pressure differential between the suction zone and pressure zone.

  • Patent number: 8109285
Abstract: A roll-over vent valve comprising a housing formed with a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a valve seating bounding an outlet aperture of the housing, a float member received within the housing and axially displaceable between a sealed position wherein a sealing member thereof sealingly bears against the valve seating of the outlet aperture to seal the fluid outlet, and an open position wherein the sealing member is disengaged from the valve seating whereby the fluid outlet is in flow communication with the fluid inlet. There is further provided a pressure-retention device extending intermediate the valve seating and the fluid outlet, to thereby shut fluid flow therebetween as long as pressure differential between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet does not exceed a minimal pressure threshold.

  • Patent number: 8066030
Abstract: Disclosed is a fuel conveying device including a valve housing in which a pressure release valve and a non-return valve are arranged parallel to one another, the pressure release valve having a first inlet, which downstream of a valve seat opens into a valve chamber in which a valve body is movably arranged and which is in fluid connection with a second inlet for the non-return valve via a first outlet. The device improves the control response of the pressure release valve by providing the first outlet at the periphery of the valve chamber and in the axial direction with respect to a valve axis such that when the pressure release valve is open the flow from the valve chamber into the second inlet is a substantially radial flow.

Abstract: A coupling assembly includes a female unit and a male unit which is removably connected with the female unit. A valve unit is located in the female unit and includes a core with two flexible disks on two ends thereof. A flange extends radially outward from a lower end of the core and is rested on a support frame in the female unit. The core extends through a through hole in a lower end of sleeve in the female unit. A plurality of paths are defined through the lower end of the sleeve so that by shifting the core to let either of two flexible disks to seal the paths in one direction, the direction of fluid flow can be controlled. The movement of the core is made by moving the sleeve.
