Abstract: A regulating device for a water outflow, in particular of sanitary fittings, comprises a cylindrical sleeve with a central cylinder axis. The sleeve is adapted for attachment to or in the water outflow. A support plate is disposed perpendicular with respect to the axis of the sleeve. A throttling and regulating element can rotate relative to the support plate about the axis and can move in the direction of the axis. By way of the throttling and regulating element, water can flow through from one side of the support plate to the other side of the support plate. The throttling and regulating element comprises a device for fine throttling of the water. An annular distribution space for the water is delimited by the support plate, the sleeve and the throttling and regulating element. In the distribution space, water can flow in from openings in the throttling and regulating element. In the distribution space, water can flow out of the sleeve to a water outlet.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for self-calibrating control of gas flow. The gas flow rate is initially set by controlling, to a high degree of precision, the amount of opening of a flow restriction, where the design of the apparatus containing the flow restriction lends itself to achieving high precision. The gas flow rate is then measured by a pressure rate-of-drop upstream of the flow restriction, and the amount of flow restriction opening is adjusted, if need be, to obtain exactly the desired flow.

Abstract: This invention relates to pneumatic shunt resistance, comprising a block (2) having a gas-containing longitudinal cavity (4) intersected by a likewise longitudinal measurement cavity (6). The two cavities are arranged such that the measurement cavity (6) intersects the gas-containing cavity (4) so as to define a sectional region, wherein, in sections perpendicular to its longitudinal extension, the measurement cavity (6) has a similar cross-section in the sectional region of the two cavities. The pneumatic shunt resistance moreover comprises a resistor (13) located in the sectional region of the two cavities and having a shape similar to that of the measurement cavity (6) at this point, so that a gap remains between the wall of the resistor (13) and the wall of the measurement cavity. Furthermore, this invention relates to gas mixers having two flow control loops and one block, thereby reducing the number of tubes.

Abstract: A fuel cell casing having a laminate structure of a first double-sided adhesive tape, an interposed member, and a second double-sided adhesive tape. The laminate structure may be placed between a casing body and a depressurizing cover. In the fuel cell casing of this structure, adequate selection of the material for the interposed member and adequate specification of an adhesion area of at least either the first double-sided adhesive tape or the second double-sided adhesive tape to the interposed member readily attain the desired design of ensuring easy separation of the depressurizing cover from the casing body by simple application of a force to the depressurizing cover under a preset level of inner pressure, without changing the materials of the casing body and the depressurizing cover.

Abstract: A system that provides for the remote control shutoff of the main water supply to a structure in an unattended manner is herein disclosed. The system comprises a solenoid activated shutoff valve typically mounted immediately downstream of a main water shutoff valve and a locking enclosure containing a remote control switch and audible alarm unit. A manual bypass valve is provided as an override should it be required. Because the system requires electricity to operate, a general power failure will automatically shut off of the water supply. Further, activation of the system is accomplished using a remote control to control the system from a distance.

In the water flow detection device, the inside of the main body has a check valve structure, and a signal output means for detecting opening of a valve body and outputting a signal is contained in a housing connected to the main body. The housing includes a base and a cover. The base includes a first surface that is a surface connecting to the main body and a second surface formed by extending and bending the first surface. The cover is engaged with an edge of the first surface opposite to the second surface and covers the signal output means. A fixing means of the cover is provided at one position in a marginal edge of the second surface.
