  • Patent number: 11092113
Abstract: An evaporative emissions control system includes a first vent valve configured to selectively open and close a first vent, a second vent valve configured to selectively open and close a second vent, a fuel level sensor configured to sense a fuel level in the fuel tank, a pressure sensor configured to sense a pressure in the fuel tank, an accelerometer configured to measure an acceleration of the vehicle, and a controller configured to regulate operation of the first and second vent valves to provide pressure relief for the fuel tank. The controller is programmed to determine if a refueling event is occurring based one signals indicating the fuel level is increasing, the pressure in the fuel tank is increasing, and the vehicle is not moving, and open at least one of the first and second vent valves based on determining the refueling event is occurring.

  • Patent number: 11047483
Abstract: A valve includes a valve body with an annular valve seat having a first central axis, and a valve closure subassembly assembled with the valve body and including an axially movable valve stem and a stem tip attached to the valve stem by a stem connector and including an annular seal portion having a second central axis. When the first central axis is misaligned with the second central axis, the stem tip is pivotable about the valve stem to effect angular adjustment of the annular seal portion of the stem tip into uniform sealing engagement with the annular valve seat when a closing force is applied to the valve stem. The stem connector is configured to resist pivoting movement of the stem tip when the valve stem is in the open position.

  • Patent number: 9975226
Abstract: An electric tool for outputting torque includes a housing and a motor disposed in the housing, a rotatable base configured to be driven by the motor to rotate about a first axis, at least one impact block rotatably connected to the rotatable base, an output shaft rotatably connected in the housing and configured to rotate about the first axis under intermittent impact of the impact block, a locking member which, when at a first position, locks the impact block to prevent it from impacting on the output shaft and which, when at a second position, releases the impact block to allow it to rotate freely, a biasing assembly for biasing the locking member to the first position, a regulating assembly for regulating a biasing degree exerted by the biasing assembly on the locking member, and a control assembly operable by the user from outside the housing to control the regulating assembly. The locking member is disposed at least partially in the rotatable base.

  • Patent number: 5244005
Abstract: A device for causing a drop in the pressure of high pressure oil controlling admission valves of a steam turbine in the event of excess speed, the device comprising a speed trip (2) constrained to rotate with the shaft (1) of the turbine and fed downstream from a constriction (5) with low pressure oil from the low pressure lubricating oil circuit of the turbine, the device being characterized in that it comprises a hydraulically controlled valve (9) having a hollow body (23) containing a closing valve member (24) for closing a discharge orifice (12) connected to said high pressure oil circuit, said closing valve member (24) being connected to a plate (25) dividing in sealed manner the inside of the body of the hydraulically controlled valve (9) into two compartments, a "first" one (11) of said compartments being situated on the same side as said discharge orifice (12) and also including at least one evacuation orifice (37), and the "second", other one of the compartments (8) being fed downstream via a feed or

  • Patent number: 4164234
Abstract: An arrangement for metering a blast of air delivered to a driven machine, particularly a sheet separation device of a sheet feeder. A control slide is connected via an air intake opening to a pressure source, and the control slide has an air discharge opening connected to the driven machine and leading into the open. The latter opening is controlled or disconnected during upward movement or stoppage of the machine coupled to the driven machine by means of a control element actuated as a function of the machine speed. The air intake opening and the air discharge opening leading to the driven machine, face each other coaxially, and upon reaching a set final speed, these openings are connectable by means of a coaxial recess passing through the control element. A rotary valve plug with a through-bore is provided to form the control element.

  • Patent number: 3976389
Abstract: A pressure gas engine in which pressurized gas such as air is supplied to a series of arcuately arranged nozzles for exhausting into a series of arcuately arranged impulse buckets thereby causing rotation of a rotor in which the buckets are located, each nozzle having an exit adjacent the buckets and each bucket having a curved surface with an entering boundary edge and a leaving boundary edge for the gas blast leaving the bucket so that the blast sweeps across the curved surface of each bucket. The exit diameter of each nozzle is less than the radius of the curved surface of each bucket to achieve a full sweep of each bucket's curved surface from the entering edge to the leaving edge.

  • Patent number: 3945199
Abstract: A load on the flyweight transmitted through the pilot valve to preload the thrust bearings of a speed sensor serves to prevent the fuel control for a turbine type of power plant from shifting to its emergency schedule from the starting or normal schedule or vice versa at an indeterminant speed. Thus, the preload assures that the transition from one schedule to the other always occurs at a predetermined compressor rotational speed.
