  • Patent number: 7717061
Abstract: A processing apparatus is disclosed which is capable of switching supplies of a raw material gas and a reducing gas alternately, while continuously forming a plasma of the reducing gas. An excitation device (12) excites a reducing gas supplied thereinto, and the excited reducing gas is supplied into a process chamber (2). A switching mechanism (20) is arranged between the excitation device (12) and the process chamber (2), and a bypass line (22) is connected to the switching mechanism (20). The switching mechanism (20) switches the flow of the excited reducing gas from the excitation device (12) between the process chamber (2) and the bypass line (22).

  • Patent number: 7607639
Abstract: The present invention provides a rotary valve structure, which has a rotary water passage structure including a switching component and fixed hole. A first water-guide portion and second water-guide portion are placed laterally onto the switching component, whilst a first punch hole and second punch hole are placed separately onto the fixed hole. A coupling portion is placed between the first water-guide portion and second water-guide portion of the switching component. When the first water-guide portion and second water-guide portion of the switching component are placed opposite to the first punch hole and second punch hole of the fixed hole respectively, the first punch hole and second punch hole form a through-flow structure that prevents water from contacting the metal portions of the housing.

Abstract: A flow adjusting apparatus having a pair of discs can be used for a drilling or production choke or valve. A stationary disc fixedly positions in a flow passage and defines at least one first bore permitting fluid flow. A rotatable disc positions in the flow passage between the stationary disc and the distal end of a stem. The rotatable disc defines at least one second bore permitting fluid flow. Rotation of the rotatable disc adjusts relative orientation between the first and second bores and adjusts fluid flow through the first and second bores. The stationary disc has a greater length than the rotatable disc to control exiting fluid flow beyond the discs and reduce erosion. In addition, the rotatable disc's bore defines a tapered relief at the disc's front face to control inlet of fluid flow and reduce erosion.

  • Patent number: 7490627
Abstract: A butterfly valve having a pair of disk tails provided at the back of a valve body in the rotation direction in an opening operation, a water flow hole formed in each disk tails, and a steady region found in relationship between loss factor and opening degree of the valve body where the loss factor becomes substantially constant with a change in opening degree of the valve body when water is filled from the water flow hole. Water filling velocity in an upstream pipe of the butterfly valve from the water flow hole, and pressure head upstream of the butterfly valve are set. Optimal value of the loss factor is determined based on the set water filling velocity and pressure head, and a total opening area of the water flow holes is set so that the loss factor equals the optimal value in the steady region.

The flexible seal cap has tapered flange and a concentrically-ribbed bottom surface so that it can be better sealed in operation. The assembly of the diverting valve is simple and speedy and the operation thereof is smooth and durable.

  • Patent number: 6233926
Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed for removing or filtering particulate from an internal combustion engine exhaust and/or for regenerating through flow particulate traps with the incoming flow of exhaust gas. The particulate trap modules have through flow passageways with porous walls for filtering particulate in the exhaust gas. The passageways are regenerated by periodically passing the exhaust gas there through at a velocity sufficient to erode or dislodge the soot and/or ash. Apparatus is provided to separate, burn and store the dislodged soot and/or ash. Having devices and catalysts may also be used to aid in the removal of soot and/or ash.

  • Patent number: 6196417
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for regulating the flow of rates of particulate matter. The invention includes a flow gate with a generally cylindrical body having a flow path defined there through. A stator member is provided in fixed position relative to the cylindrical body. The stator member has a plurality of alternating tapered vein portions and inlet portions. A rotor member is interfaced with the stator member. The rotor member has a plurality of alternating stock portions and outlet port portions. The rotary coupling is utilized to couple the rotor member and the stator member. A position actuator is provided for receiving at least one control input and producing a corresponding displacement of the rotor member. A mechanical coupling is provided between the position actuator and the rotor member.

  • Patent number: 6192922
Abstract: An airflow control valve for a clean room having a duct section with a damper positioned within the duct. The damper being capable of an adjustment from an open position to a closed position. The opening and closing of the duct is accomplished through a magnetic coupling such that the duct can remain sealed during operation. The airflow control valve includes a sensor for measuring the airflow rate, so that the duct can be adjusted to maintain one or more predetermined flow rate set-points.
