Abstract: A connector for use in a negative pressure coolant system is disclosed. The connector connects coolant system circulating to an electrical component thereby allowing the coolant to circulate through the electrical component. The connector is made up of two components, a component side connector and a pump side connector, and can be in three positions: disengaged, semi-engaged and fully-engaged. An electrical component can be drained of its coolant while the connector is shifted from the fully-engaged position, to the semi-engaged position and to the disengaged position. This can be accomplished without shutting down the negative pressure coolant system, thus allowing a particular electrical component to be disconnected without affecting the cooling efficiency of other electrical components connected to the system. Because the coolant is drained, it will not spill on the electrical component and cause damage.

Abstract: Joint structure includes a joint plug assembly and a joint outlet assembly. The joint plug assembly includes a plug body, a sealing member, and a flexible member. The plug body defines a receiving channel including a first receiving hole and a second receiving hole communicating with the first receiving hole. A diameter of the second receiving hole is smaller than that of the first receiving hole. The plug body includes a spherical outer surface. The flexible member biases the sealing member to block the second receiving hole. The joint outlet assembly includes an outlet body and a pin. The outlet body defines a latching groove, and the latching groove forms a spherical inner surface. The pin is received in the latching groove and defines at least one groove along a longitudinal direction thereof.

Abstract: Quick connect fluid connectors are described that can be used to connect a first fluid system to a second fluid system for transferring fluids between the first and second fluid systems. The connectors include an eccentric mounted roller mechanism disposed within a slot in a main body and that is in continuous engagement with front and back walls of the slot. The eccentric mounted roller mechanism is used to actuate connection collets when the eccentric mounted roller mechanism is rotated. Since the eccentric mounted roller mechanism is in substantially continuous contact with the front and back walls, this ensures a smooth actuation of the main body and the connection collets without any lost motion.

Abstract: A fluid transfer system includes a transfer device coupled to a dry break coupler. The transfer device includes a valve assembly moveable between an open and a closed position. The valve assembly includes a main valve and a pilot valve. An actuator controls both the main valve and the pilot valve. A cam plate interconnects the actuator and the valve assembly. The cam plate provides a quick acting shutoff to quickly move the valve assembly to the closed position. A pivotal and rotatable connector couples the transfer device to the dry break coupler. A lock is integrated with the actuator to lock the valve assembly in the closed position.

Abstract: An embodiment includes a coupling system having a rapid-connect coupler configured to engage a male fuel receptacle to convey a fluid. The coupling system may be configured to transition between a coupled configuration and a de-coupled configuration. When transitioning between configurations, significant pressure may build up inside various coupling orifices such that when a disconnection procedure is invoked, the pressure may cause significant forces to push the rapid-connect coupler off of the male receptacle. This may lead to damage and injury. Thus, coupling system may further include vent holes configured to allow pressure inside to be relieved when transitioning from the coupled configuration to the de-coupled configuration.

Abstract: A container assembly for use with a high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) instrument is disclosed, in which the container assembly, when coupled to a source of pressurized gas, provides fluid medium to the HPLC instrument at positive pressure. The container assembly has an external exterior container shell, an internal fluid container for holding fluid medium, an interstitial volume between the external exterior container shell and the internal fluid container, a port for fluidly connecting the volume to a pressurized gas source, and a port for fluidly connecting the internal fluid container to the HPLC instrument. As a pressurized gas in the interstitial volume increases, fluid medium flows out of the port connected to the internal fluid bag and container assembly at a positive pressure. A system incorporating the container assembly, and method of use of the same, are also disclosed.

Abstract: Provided is a coupler including female and male couplers configured to be coupled together. The female coupler includes one or more detents and a release valve having a release valve member that is movable to an open position to allow for venting of fluid from a cavity in the female coupler to an area outside the coupler, and the male coupler includes a detent recess into which the one or more detents of the female coupler are urged radially inwardly into to couple the female and male couplers. By eliminating a threaded connection between the male and female couplers, the couplers prevent leakage of fluid and/or separation of the couplers due to vibration during use.
