In addition, the service valve assembly is designed to permit connection to many different refrigeration systems and has higher flow capacity. The valve assembly is engageable by current servicing tools so that purchase of new service tools is not required. In the valve assembly, the service connection is designed as part of the shut-off valve and communicates with the condenser side port. Therefore, initial processing through the condenser side port and subsequent processing through the evaporation side port occur through the combined service connection and shut-off valve structure. Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a switching valve capable of increasing the opening stroke of a valve operated by a differential pressure while saving space, thereby reducing pressure loss. A first valve is disposed between an inlet port and a first outlet port. A pilot valve is provided between a back pressure chamber for a movable plug that holds a valve sheet disposed in a manner opposed to a valve seat, and the first outlet port, such that the first valve is operated by a solenoid. A second valve is arranged between the inlet port and a second outlet port. A back pressure chamber for a movable plug that holds a valve sheet disposed in a manner opposed to a valve seat and the first outlet port are communicated with each other. The second valve is opened by the differential pressure generated by closing of the first valve, and when the first valve is opened, the second valve is closed by the spring since the differential pressure is reduced to zero.

Abstract: A cut-off valve for power steering systems, especially for automobiles, includes a source of a pressure and a container, and is used for limiting a pressure in at least one pressure chamber. The cut-off valve also includes a closing body, which may be adjusted against the force of a spring and a fixed throttling point, which is located in a connecting line between the pressure chamber that is subjected to a first pressure and a pressure chamber that is subjected to a second pressure. The cross-section of the throttling point may be regulated without being disassembled from the outside. By altering the cross-section of the throttle point, it is possible to reduce the width of the tolerance zone or the width of the hysteresis of the valve characteristics to approximately half of the original size.
