Abstract: ESP power cable is inserted into a length of tubing disposed in a wellbore. The device comprises a support attachable to the cable that is in frictional sliding contact with the tubing inner surface. The frictional sliding contact between the support and the tubing reduces axial stress in the cable. Support devices are added at intervals on the cable length, thereby distributing the cable axial stress along the cable.

Abstract: A method for securing a component to a tank includes forming the tank having a wall of multiple layers of polymer material with an opening in the wall, outer layers of polymer, and an inner layer of polymer having an inner surface whose color is dark relative to a natural color of the outer layers. The component is formed with a mounting surface of polymer. The tube wall opening is used to install the component in the tank such that the mounting surface contacts the inner surface. Energy is transmitted onto an area of a surface of the tank wall where the mounting surface contacts the inner surface. The transmitted energy is use to produce a weld between the mounting surface and the tank wall.

  • Patent number: 7802445
Abstract: An insulated and refrigerated beverage transport line provides enhanced temperature control of one or more beverages conveyed through the transport line. A plurality of coolant lines carrying a re-circulated coolant makes contact with the one or more product lines. One or more empty lines, referred to as packers, may be placed between the coolant lines and the product lines to provide a dimensionally stable and tight group of lines that are bundled together. An external insulation is provided over the bundle of lines to further enhance insulation for the beverage being transported through the product lines. At least one dedicated coolant return line may be placed remote from the other lines. The dedicated coolant return line carries the highest temperature coolant found in a beverage transport system. Independent and separate insulation of this dedicated coolant return line prevents inadvertent heat transfer to the one or more product lines.

  • Patent number: 7302972
Abstract: A water supply line includes a cylindrical and ductile outer tube that has a centrally aligned axis. An inner tube is concentrically spaced about the axis of the outer tube and has a length coextensively sized therewith. The inner tube is equidistantly spaced inward from the outer tube, defining a cavity therebetween. Fingers are intercalated between the inner and outer tubes and seated within the cavity. The fingers extend outward from the inner tube and are positioned along the entire length of the tubes, defining isolated air chambers which act as a thermal blanket, preventing cold air from passing into and hot air from exiting the inner tube. A coupling is provided with a bore and is in fluid communication with the inner tube and conjoinable therewith. The coupling has an outer surface provided with barbs such that the coupling can be connected to the inner tube.

  • Patent number: 7225837
Abstract: An integrated casing spacer and joint restraint unit is attached to each of a pair of pipe sections adjacent to an end-to-end connection of the pipe sections by means of first and second spacer/retainer ring members. Disposed on the outer periphery of each ring member in a spaced manner are plural risers each having a respective runner disposed on its outer end for engaging an inner surface of an outer casing and maintaining fixed spacing between the inner pipe sections and the outer casing. Plural paired risers, with one riser disposed on each ring member, are aligned with one another along the axis of the connected pipe sections and are each adapted for secure connection to a respective connecting rod for securely coupling the two ring members together and restraining relative movement between the two pipe sections.
