  • Patent number: 6412982
Abstract: There is provided an elastomeric bearing installed at an upper girder of a bridge or between upper and lower parts of a building, for supporting a load in a stable manner. The elastomeric bearing includes a cylinder member having a plurality of cylindrical hollows, elastomeric members seated on the respective cylindrical hollows of the cylinder member, a plurality of pistons inserted into the respective cylindrical hollows of the cylinder member to hermetically seal the elastomeric members seated thereon, and elasticity reinforcement elements integrally formed with the cylinder member and the plurality of pistons, for accommodating the same, the cylinder member having a plate-shaped body and a plurality of cylinders having cylindrical hollows formed therein, the plurality of cylinders protruding from the bottom of the body. Since buckling occurs only in one direction while supporting a higher load by constricting expansion, the safety can be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 6325576
Abstract: A high throughput drilling system for printed circuit board hole formation. Two spindles are disposed at each spindle station, doubling the number of holes produced in a given time period. Each spindle in connected to an overhead linear drive by a mini slide. A first set of the spindles, one for each spindle station, is driven by a first X axis linear drive. A second set is driven by a second X axis linear drive. The work piece table is elongated to support work pieces for all stations, and is supported by a set of bearing guides, with outrigger bearings coupled to the table by flexure mounts that relieve stress due to differential temperature expansion rates between the work piece table and the base table. High speed spindles are employed to obtain higher productivity, with larger holes routed by router tools, eliminating the need for stocking large drill sizes on the system tool changer.

  • Patent number: 6178706
Abstract: A movement limiting device of a bridge bearing is provided in which the horizontal strength in the longitudinal direction and the perpendicular direction of a bridge when limitation in movement is cancelled can be suitably separately set. A rubber bearing 64 is interposed between an upper shoe plate 60 and a lower shoe plate 62. The upper shoe plate 60 has a notch 72 formed in a side thereof. A side block 80 has two projections 82, 84, which are formed integrally with the side block 80 to project upwardly. The side block 80 has a plurality of bolt through holes 86, which are formed therein on both end sides of the projections 82 and 84, and another bolt through hole 86, which is also formed in a concave portion 83 between the projections 82 and 84. Bolts 78 fix the side block to the lower shoe plate 62.
