  • Patent number: 9404275
Abstract: A binding wire twisting apparatus for tying reinforcing bars. A motor rotates a shaft upon which a member reciprocates from a rearward to a forward position. The apparatus includes opposed fingers with opposed channels for fed binding wire. When in the rearward position, the member drives a wire feeding unit that feeds binding wire though the fingers and around the reinforcing bars. When the leading end of the fed wire impacts an actuator of a four-way valve, a pneumatic cylinder reciprocates the member from the first to the second position, and a cutter cuts the wire. Once in the second position, gripping surfaces entrap and hold the ends of the wire, and the rotating member, while holding the ends of the wire between first and second grip pieces, twists and ties the wire around the reinforcing bars, and a torque-release clutch decouples the motor from the shaft.

Abstract: A wire feed amount detection mechanism is configured by magnets mounted at an outer peripheral surface of a V-grooved drive gear of a wire feed mechanism and a magnetic sensor mounted on a body. A reinforcing bar winding turn number-setting switch is provided on the body. A control portion controls a wire feed amount of a wire feed mechanism based on a set value of the reinforcing bar winding turn number-setting switch. The number of turns of the wire around reinforcing bars can be arbitrarily set, for example, to any one of 1 to 4, and the binding can be effected with a binding force corresponding to a strength required by binding portions. As a result, with respect to those binding portions requiring a low binding force, the binding is effected with a smaller turn number, so that the amount of consumption of the wire can be saved, and besides those pipes (such as electric wiring pipes and hot water pipes) which are lower in strength than the reinforcing bars can also be bound together.

  • Patent number: 7275567
Abstract: A front end of a loop of a wire fed out to a nose (6) by a binding wire feeding mechanism (1) is pinched by a clamp plate (28) of a binding wire clamping apparatus (25) and the wire is pulled back by driving to rotate reversely a feeding motor (13) of the binding wire feeding mechanism (1). When the wire is brought into close contact with a reinforcing bar (S) and a load of the feeding motor is increased to thereby increase a drive current by a constant amount, a control apparatus stops the feeding motor. Thereafter, the binding wire clamping apparatus (25) is rotated to twist the binding wire to bind the reinforcing bar. Since the wire is pulled back and a length of the wire is automatically adjusted in accordance with a diameter of the reinforcing bar, a state of finishing to bind the reinforcing bar is made to be uniform and also an amount of consuming the wire is reduced.

  • Patent number: 7255135
Abstract: A front end of a ball screw shaft driven by a motor is connected with a binding line clamp apparatus (513) including three clamp plates (514, 515, 516). The left and right clamp plates (515, 516) are constituted to be brought into elastic contact with the center clamp plate (515) and close the left and right clamp plates by operation of cams (527, 528) when a sleeve is moved rearward. In a state of opening the clamp plates, a binding line is fed out to an upper side by passing through an interval between the right clamp plate (515) and the center clamp plate (514), formed in a loop shape and moved into an interval between the left clamp plate (516) and the center clamp plate (517). When the sleeve is moved rearward by driving to rotate a ball screw shaft, the left and right clamp plates are closed to grasp a front end and a rear end of the binding line loop and thereafter, the binding line clamp apparatus is rotated to twist the binding line to bind a reinforcing bar.

  • Patent number: 7228795
Abstract: An existing tying machine (20) is modified by the addition of components to produce a self contained laundry tie-out station (10). The components for the modification include a linear slide support yoke frame (22), attached on top of the tying machine's component mounting platform (24) with a pneumatic linear slide unit (34) mounted on top. A hanger slide rod assembly (40) is attached to the mounting face of the linear slide unit for retaining a selected group of hangers (36) containing laundered clothing (36?). Conveyer feed lines are aligned with distal ends of the recessed hanger slide rod (42) when in an at rest position. A pneumatic system operates the slide unit and controls are integrated into the tying machines existing electrical system. The invention draws the group of hangers into the tying machine where it bunches the hangers together and electromechanically binds the group with a twist tie.

A shift mechanism for moving the ball screw shaft (24) and the binding line clamp apparatus (25) in a front and rear direction by a slide motor (22) is provided. A wire (W) is wound around a reinforcing bar (S) by a binding line feed mechanism, the wire is grasped by a front end portion of the binding line clamp apparatus (25) and thereafter, a shift mechanism applies a tension to a loop of the wire by moving rearward the binding line clamp apparatus (25). The binding line clamp apparatus (25) is rotated by a twist motor (21) and the shift mechanism twists up the wire by moving forward the binding line clamp apparatus (25).

Abstract: The present invention is an ejector drive hub. The ejector drive hub comprises an axial through hole in a cylinder with a slot in the circumferential side wall of the cylinder. The slot truncates less than 180° of the cylinder. The ejector drive hub has an engagement face for a cam or pawl to drive it rotationally. A radial through hole in the slot forms a communicating opening between the slot and the axial through hole. The ejector drive hub further comprises a mount adapted to maintain a drive pawl in operative position relative to the radial through hole. The ejector drive hub further has at least one notch for engagement of a latch to maintain the ejector drive hub in a stationary position during knotting. The ejector drive hub has a boss to actuate an ejector. The boss and the disc portion of the ejector drive hub are integrally fabricated from a single piece of material as by machining.

Abstract: The invention concerns an apparatus including a body equipped with means supplying a continuous wire, feeding said wire to a curved slot capable of being closed on itself, a twister driven in rotation during the process and a wire cutting device to form a tie. Said apparatus further comprises a first motor for driving the wire and for closing and opening the guide slot and a second motor for actuating the twister and the wire cutting device. Control means successively drive the wire and close the slot with the first motor, then, the first motor being switched off, simultaneously drive the wire cutting device and the twister with the second motor, and finally, after the second motor is switched off, open the slot and feed the latter with wire.

Abstract: A twisting shaft 33 and a remover 34 fitted around the twisting shaft 33 are provided with forks 37, 44 at their respective front portions, and hooks 38 bent from front ends of the forks of the twisting shaft in the forward rotational direction are provided. The remover is rotatable by a one-way stopper mechanism in the forward direction only. When the twisting shaft and remover are rotated forward, a binding wire loop is hung on the hooks 38 and twisted. When the twisting shaft is reversely rotated after the completion of the twisting operation, the remover stops being rotated by the one-way stopper mechanism, and the twisting shaft alone is reversely rotated. As a result, the hooks 38 hide themselves behind the forks 44 of the remover 34, and the binding wire engaged with the hooks 38 is pressed by the forks 44 and removed.
