  • Patent number: 5662249
Abstract: A shaking container designed with built in measuring cup, funnel and pour spout intended to measure, mix and pour a powdered material with a liquid. This container will enable the user to invert the cap to sit in the container opening, using this cap as a measuring cup, as it has measure markers inside the cap. When measure completed, the top spout, inverted into the container, to be unsnapped, thereby funneling the powder down into the container. The container to be filled with liquid, then cap replaced in closed position. With pour spout snapped, shaking can commence.

  • Patent number: 5657802
Abstract: An improved plug structure for aquarium fish food containers is disclosed. The plug of this invention has two depressions for receiving a detachable tap and a detachable spoon respectively. The tap is pivoted to the spoon and easily opened by a one touch motion. Both the spoon and the tap can be easily separated from the plug body at the same time. The above plug thus allows the fixed amount of food to be taken out of the food container thereby saving food. The plug also prevents food from dropping when measuring the fixed amount of food using the spoon.

  • Patent number: 5020692
Abstract: A container (20,20') is disclosed as having a unitary plastic blow molded bottle (22,22') which has a dispensing spout (32) projecting upwardly from a hollow body portion (26) and also has a moat (34) that surrounds the dispensing spout such that securement of a measuring cup (24,24') to the bottle in a sealed relationship permits excess liquid contents in the measuring cup to drain back into the bottle through an opening (36) in the moat. The unitary blow molded bottle is preferably constructed with the moat (34) inclined and having the opening (36) at a lower portion of the moat. In one embodiment of the container (20), retainers (42) on the dispensing spout (32) secure retainers (44) on the measuring cup (24) to secure the measuring cup with round sealing surfaces (52,54) on the bottle and the measuring cup sealing about the moat (34).

  • Patent number: 4566509
Abstract: This relates to a closure unit which is of a two-piece construction including a measuring cup and a ring member. The ring member includes an annular flange and a skirt having formed thereon locking elements such as threads for engaging the neck finish of a container. The measuring cup is provided mid-height with a flange which is clamped against an end sealing surface of a container by the annular flange of the ring member. The measuring cup is formed of a resilient plastic material so that the flange of the measuring cup has a gasket-like characteristic and can form a seal with the end sealing surface of an associated container. The measuring cup may be fixed relative to the ring member or may be axially movable relative thereto so that in condition of use an open end of the measuring cup will project beyond the skirt of the ring member to permit pouring from the measuring cup.

  • Patent number: 4278360
Abstract: This invention relates to a container having a reservoir for storing a liquid and an intermediate storage space communicating with said reservoir and adapted to receive liquid therefrom on generation of a vacuum therein. Communication between reservoir and intermediate storage space is through a capillary tube having an inside diameter small enough so that a column of liquid is maintained therein whenever pressures in said reservoir and storage space are substantially equal, but large enough so that liquid flows into the storage space when pressure therein is lower than in the reservoir. The closure for the container comprises a piston which, as the container is opened, moves out of the storage space to create a vacuum therein.
