  • Patent number: 8555934
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for filling and evacuating a dispenser unit for paste-like, foam-form or liquid media. In the known methods, a storage container is evacuated via a suction pump, which otherwise serves for the delivery of the medium, after filling. The risk exists hereby that medium is drawn in. In order to make the drawing-off process more effective and more reliable, a method and a filling insert for a dispenser unit are proposed according to the invention, wherein at least one air duct is provided parallel to the suction pump. The evacuation takes place by the application of a pressure difference between storage container and the environment, which is just so great that air can in fact be drawn through the air duct but no viscous medium can be drawn.

Abstract: A reformer tube processing and filling system is provided for ensuring uniformity of reformer tube flow rates and reactivity. The disclosed invention provides a system for detecting and removing tube obstructions, as well as an automated process for verifying the flow rate for each tube and identifying tubes with abnormal flow rates to remove a source of human error and conserve labor costs. An automated tube filling system provides a calibrated fill mechanism coordinated with a calibrated loading rope withdrawal mechanism to ensure loading consistency. A lack of vibrating parts ensures a low dust count, and what little dust is present is removed via a built-in vacuum outlet in the loader.

Abstract: An automatic acid filling apparatus includes a base with at least one acid filling tank pivotably connected thereto. The filling tank has an opening and a gate respectively connected to each end thereof. A first activating device is pivotably connected to the base and the acid filling tank, and a second activating device is pivotably connected to the acid filling tank. The second activating device controls the gate to be opened so that the assembled horizontal batteries can be placed into the acid filling tank. The gate is then closed. A suction device sucks air out of the acid filling tank from the opening, and then the acid is filled into the acid filling tank via the opening by using an acid filling device. The first activating device activates the acid filling tank to rotate to an inclined position for fully absorbing the acid.

Abstract: A dual duty hand pump has two air channels, a hand grip, a piston rod, a piston, a deflating unit and an inflating unit. The hand grip and the piston are mounted on two ends of the piston rod. The deflating unit and the inflating unit are respectively mounted in the air channels and respectively have two check valves mounted therein in two opposite directions. When the hand grip is lifted and pressed down, air respectively flows in and flows out of the hand pump through the air channel. Accordingly, the hand pump provides a practical and convenient solution to integrate inflating and deflating functions as a whole for users to flexibly select from when the dual duty hand pump is in use.

Abstract: A vacuum device for a material handling system includes a vacuum device body and a sealing element. The vacuum device body has a vacuum passageway in which a vacuum is generated in response to activation of a pressurized air supply that forces pressurized air through a venturi device. The sealing element moves to a sealing position to substantially seal the vacuum passageway when the air supply is activated, and is urged toward the sealing position via pressurized air that is diverted from an inlet of the vacuum device to the sealing element. The sealing element moves to substantially vent the vacuum passageway when the air supply is deactivated. The vacuum passageway may be in fluid communication with a vacuum cup, which seals against the object when the sealing element is at the sealing position and the vacuum generating device generates at least a partial vacuum in the vacuum passageway.

  • Patent number: 8464763
Abstract: A fluid-distribution system includes a plurality of fluid-distribution nodes with three-way ports attached to bleed/flush lines and alternate ports attached to vacuum lines. A first pump is used to draw new brake fluid from a new fluid container, push it through the manifold and ports, and through the bleed/flush lines. Fluid flow through the ports is selectively controlled by a computing device. In this manner, a vehicle's brake system including individual brake lines and ABS systems, may be flushed in a prescribed sequence. The vacuum lines are connected to a second pump via alternate ports of the sequential control valve manifold and may be used evacuated air and contaminated brake fluid from the vehicle's bleeder valves or master cylinder. Additionally, the bleed/flush lines may be connected to the alternate ports during priming or purging of the system. This also facilitates storage of the bleed lines as it prevents brake fluid from spilling and prevents air from entering the system.
