  • Patent number: 9610675
Abstract: A welding clamp system using a fixture plate with a bulkhead that allows the clamp system to be coupled to a robotic arm. The robotic arm supplies air and electricity through pneumatic and electrical ports, enabling operation of the clamp system. The air is routed to pneumatic cylinders, which power a pneumatic clamp mechanism that moves sliding clamp fixtures along tracks. The sliding clamp fixtures press a work piece against immobile clamp fixtures, allowing a work piece to be secured and held during welding. Presence of a work piece is detected by proximity sensors which are mounted into the fixture. The clamp system allows a robotic arm to grab a work piece from a supply area, initiate and complete welding of the work piece, and then release the work piece onto a discharge station for removal of the completed work piece.

  • Patent number: 9115843
Abstract: A holder including a fixed base, a rotational base, a first arm and a second arm is provided. The rotational base is rotatably disposed on the fixed base and has a supporting plane and two openings. The first arm and the second arm are disposed in the rotational base, and pass through the two openings, respectively, wherein the first arm is coupled with the fixed base. When a hand-held electronic device is located between the first arm and the second arm and is rotated along with the rotational base relative to the fixed base, the fixed base drives the first arm to move relative to the rotational base so as to hold the hand-held electronic device by the first arm and the second arm.

  • Patent number: 6360798
Abstract: Router tables, generally used for woodworking, have fences used to guide workpieces during cutting. The router table has a table top which has a top work surface and a router bit hole through the table top. A plurality of support legs are provided below the table top. A safety shield is positioned above the router bit hole. The workpiece fence has left and right fences which operate independently of each other. The left and right fences slide on the top work surface in a front to rear direction and a side to side direction. A feather flap extends from the workpiece fence and holds the workpiece down against the table top during cutting.

  • Patent number: 6196285
Abstract: A work bench top constructed preferably of hardwood dimension lumber of a thickness sufficient to provide the strength and rigidity required for heavy duty work bench use. The bench top consists of two sections, one of which forms the main body of the top and a movable narrower section the same length and thickness as the main section of the top. The narrower or front section of the top is pulled to the main section by hydraulic power and an arrangement of cable and pulleys creating a full length vise. The front section of the top is attached to the main portion or balance of the top by wooden guides that slide into brackets on the underside of the top and by a steel cable attached to eye bolts installed on wooden blocks reinforced by angle iron and attached to this front member of the top. The cable is then threaded around two pulleys mounted on the underside of the main portion of the top and to a third pulley mounted on a metal block also on the underside of the main part of the top.

  • Patent number: 6065604
Abstract: An article holding tray adapted to retain and stabilize a wide variety of articles during their use such as dishware, drinking glasses, eating utensils, video game joy sticks and other articles which are typically usable on a tray or lap tray. The device includes a generally flat tray or board which includes one or more connected elongated slots formed orthogonally through the tray and sized in width for slidable translation of an elongated threaded fastener therealong. Each threaded fastener releasably retains an elongated movable retaining block in a selected position against an upper support surface defined by the tray. Each movable retaining block has at least one side surface, and preferably all of the side surfaces, which is sloped at an angle substantially greater than 90 degrees, and preferably about 105 degrees, with respect to the lower flat surface of the retaining block and the support surface.

  • Patent number: 5816300
Abstract: A convertible woodworking jig comprising multiple components suited to making specialty woodcuts necessary for the manufacture of rails and stiles of cabinet door frames from standard milled wood stock. The jig has a base having a planar work surface, a first fence having a first straight edge, and a second fence with a second straight edge, between which edges a first cam assembly is medially positioned. The cam body is rotatably positionable for wedging a freely-positionable pressure block tight against a work piece, which is selectively positioned against one of either the first straight edge or the second straight edge. The work piece being so secured, a biscuit slot may be cut into the mitered end by use of a guide assembly disposed at an operative end of the second fence, which assembly closely guides a hand-held, power cutting tool at a predetermined angle formed relative to the plane of said second straight edge.

  • Patent number: 5709256
Abstract: A workbench which is to be used especially as a teaching aid in the form of an ergonomically designed multi-purpose workbench for use in handicraft training is to have vice work stations which can easily be converted for left or right-handed people. In particular, it is to be possible for work stations for left and right-handers easily to be arranged on one and the same workbench. This is achieved by a vice which can be clamped to the worktop of the workbench via a spindle fitted centrally on the vice. The centric spindle arrangement makes it easy to convert the vices for right and left-handed operations via spindle supports arranged on both sides on the corner of the workbench or work station. The vices are turned simply by rotation through 180.degree.. In addition, suitably distributed apertures to take bench clamps for the vices facilitate zero or low-torque three-point clamping of workpieces. Auxiliary tools can easily be fitted and secured on the workbench.

  • Patent number: 5385183
Abstract: A tool for assisting in producing a straight edge on a piece of rough cut raw material, such as lumber or masonite. The tool is held in place on top of the piece by gripping means which grip the piece along two opposite side edges. The tool's straight edge, unobstructed by clamps or other protrusions, is then used as a guide to bank against the saw fence of a table saw, radial arm saw, or circular saw, producing a straight edge on the piece. Using the tool, one can take the flat bow out of a piece and also remove the rough mill edge. The tool can also be used with a hand circular saw, jig saw, or router by running the saw directly along the tool's unobstructed straight edge.
