  • Patent number: 11006816
Abstract: A cleaning tool includes a support tool for rotatably supporting an adhesive tape roll via bearing members; and a storing case for storing the adhesive tape roll. Bearing caps detachably attached to both ends of the adhesive tape roll are used as the bearing members. The support tool has a gate-shaped frame which is made of a synthetic resin and includes a pair of left and right leg plates and a support base extending between the upper ends of the leg plates. An opening having substantially the same width as the gate-shaped frame while the storing case is closed, is formed between matching surfaces of a pair of openable case members from both side surfaces thereof over an upper surface thereof, the case members constituting the storing case. A portion of the outer contour of the storing case is complemented by the gate-shaped frame of the support tool.

Abstract: Embodiments of apparatuses and methods for removing deposits in thermal conversion processes are provided herein. In one example, a method comprises advancing a hot vapor through a hot vapor inlet tubular section to a low temperature zone inlet nozzle of a longitudinal tubular section. The hot vapor inlet tubular section has a first inner diameter and the longitudinal tubular section has a second inner diameter that is greater than the first inner diameter. A ram head with a net open cross-sectional flow area is moved between a retracted position and an extended position to remove the deposits in the low temperature zone inlet nozzle.

  • Patent number: 8112838
Abstract: The disclosure provides for a friction stir welding tool cleaning method and apparatus for fixed and retractable pin tools. The method and apparatus use a heating component, a temperature indicator component, a controller component, and a rotatable tool cleaner component for cleaning fixed pin tools. An additional bore cleaner component is used for cleaning retractable pin tools. Heat is applied to a friction stir welding tool having a surface with weld process residue material until the process residue material is sufficiently plasticized, and then the tool cleaner component is applied to the heated tool to remove the plasticized residue on the pin and shoulder surfaces of the tool, and for retractable pin tools, the bore cleaner component is applied to the heated tool to remove the plasticized residue in the tool bore.

  • Patent number: 8097090
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for reducing cumulative deposition and unwanted secondary thermal reactions in pyrolysis and other thermal conversion processes. In an embodiment, a system comprises a device, referred to as a reamer, for removing product deposits between thermal conversion and condensation operations of a pyrolysis process. The reamer may comprise, but is not limited to, a mechanical reciprocating rod or ram, a mechanical auger, a drill bit, a high-temperature wiper, brush, or punch to remove deposits and prevent secondary reactions. Alternatively or in addition, the reamer may use a high-velocity curtain or jet (i.e., a hydraulic or pneumatic stream) of vapor, product gas, recycle gas, other gas jet or non-condensing liquid to remove deposits. Preferably, the reamer removes deposits during the pyrolysis process allowing for continuous operation of the pyrolysis process.

  • Patent number: 7607187
Abstract: A method for abrading or polishing and reaming the terminal ends of tubing or fittings using a hand-held electrically powered device having a rotating member capable of accepting a standard shaft which has attached to it a male and female abrasive member which will polish or abrade the inside and outside of a length tubing or fitting respectively uses the same tool. Also attached to the standard shaft is a reamer for removing unwanted material from the end of the length of tubing. All of these members are attached at the same end of the standard shaft, thereby allowing all the operations to be performed at one time on each tubing or mating fitting member. In addition, the standard shaft may be connected to a clutch release mechanism allowing the tool mechanism to disengage upon the application of excessive torque.
