Unidirectional Drive Patents (Class 15/48.1)
  • Patent number: 10980384
Abstract: A surface cleaning device comprises a brush (B) that is curved at least partially around a center part (CP) of the surface cleaning device, a deformability of the brush (B) determining a deformability of an outer circumference of the surface cleaning device. The brush (B) has a rotation axis (A), which is curved at least partially around the center part (CP) of the surface cleaning device. The rotation axis (A) is parallel to the surface. The brush (B) may be a donut-shaped brush (B) fully around the center part (CP) of the surface cleaning device. The surface cleaning device may have an electrical motor (M) for driving the brush (B). The center part (CP) may comprise a container (DC) for collecting dirt swept from the surface by the brush (B). The center part (CP) may have an edge (E) for bending the brush (B), dirt being released from the brush (B) at an end of the edge (E) where the brush (B) is relaxed. The center part (CP) may have an upper rim (R) for keeping the brush (B) at its position.

  • Patent number: 8156596
Abstract: A manually propelled, wheeled rotary brush having a handle and two wheels. The brush may have a generally cylindrical configuration which contacts the environmental surface on which the wheels ride, and may rotate about a horizontal axis disposed perpendicularly to the direction of travel as the wheels turn. The brush may be geared to the wheels, and may rotate faster than the wheels. The wheeled rotary brush may have a frame in which the gears are journaled. The handle may be propped in an elevated position by stabilizing legs disposed to engage the environmental surface at a point spaced apart from the brush. The brush may have replaceable brush elements which may be inserted into slots formed in a cylindrical core of the brush.

  • Patent number: 6918156
Abstract: A suction brush assembly of a vacuum cleaner has a housing having a suction duct to provide a suction passage for dust, a rotation roller having a plurality of ribs formed at an outer circumference, a wheel disposed at the housing, and a power transmission unit to rotate the rotation member by exerting a rotation force of the wheel to the rotation member when the wheel is rotated. The wheel and the rotation member are rotated in directions opposite to each other by the power transmission unit. When a user wants to clean fabrics such as bedclothes or a carpet, the effect of hitting of the ribs can be firmly secured due to the rotation of the rotation rollers. Therefore, the effect of removing dust remarkably increases.
