    Abstract: Apparatus for creating a flow of air in a hollow wall or ceiling to aid in drying a wall or ceiling which has become wet generally through a disaster such as broken pipes, flooding, leaking roof, includes a conduit having a first end sized and configured to fit and be secured over and around an opening in a wall or ceiling which has an electrical box mounted therein. The conduit will generally be provided with holes positioned to be aligned with the usual cover plate mounting holes in a wall switch or outlet, or fixture mounting holes in the box itself, through which screws can be positioned to effect securement of the conduit. A second end of the conduit is configured to accept the end of an air supply hose or a vacuum supply hose, such as extending from the outlet or the inlet, respectively, of a usual air blower, and an air flow passage extends from the second end to the first end to direct air into or draw air from the wall or ceiling through and around the electrical box.

The conduit will generally be provided with holes positioned to be aligned with the usual cover plate mounting holes in a wall switch or outlet, or fixture mounting holes in the box itself, through which screws can be positioned to effect securement of the conduit.

    Abstract: This dryer system for concentrated drying of water-damaged building surfaces in typical residential and commercial constructions is temporarily attached during the drying process and is removed after the damaged area is dried. The dryer system comprises a high-volume, forced air blower attached to an air diverter selected from a variety of different diverters configured to attach to various flat surfaces or corners in a room. The blower may operate remotely from the diverter when they are connected by an air duct. The system forces dry air between partitioning studs in walls, through flutes typically found in tongue-in-groove flooring, and similarly behind ceilings. The moisture-laden air leaving the wall, floor or ceiling may be captured with a diverter and duct and dried by a dehumidifier before recirculation back through the system or the air may be ducted outside of the water-damaged area. An air heater can also be combined with the blower to enhance the drying process.

    Abstract: Apparatus for drying or removing adhering substances from the surface of a continuous advancing strand or other substantially non-adsorptive material moving at high speeds which enables the wire to be ink-printed immediately. The air wiper utilizes a compressed-air source to dry the wire, as well as a single vacuum pump for exhaust. Cone deflectors direct the wet air away from the wire and toward the vacuum chamber drainage.
