    Abstract: A folder for carrying business cards and the like, and a method for inexpensively producing the card carrier is described herein. A paperboard folder, which can open and close along a spine, is coated or otherwise designed along its outer surface. A sheet of plastic or other suitable material is next printed on its lower surface with adhesive stripes. This printed sheet is applied to the interior surface of the folder, where it is die-cut to produce the slots for inserting the cards. In this manner, a consumer can easily and quickly arrange his business cards in an inexpensive manner. The folder also comes with an elastic band which binds other papers to the card carrier's exterior surface. My invention is also easily adapted as a leaf or leaves in a restaurant menu, in which the pockets with slots easily hold removable cards printed with special entrees.

    Abstract: A portable valuables receptacle is disclosed which includes a mechanism for prevention of slippage of the receptacle out of a garment pocket in which it is positioned, and which further prevents removal thereof from the pocket by a pickpocket. A slide plate provided with a portion for reception of valuables is slidably mounted within a case and movable between two positions, one being a locked position and the second being a released position. In the released position the slide plate is moved outwardly of the case by spring action, thus causing the case and the slide plate to expand against the side margins of the garment pocket in which it is placed, thus placing a force against the side margins and thereby preventing removal thereof from the garment pocket. The valuables receptacle portion of the slide plate is arranged to receive valuable personal belongings such as a commutation ticket, driver's license, a key or the like.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a billfold, wallet, or the like for carrying a plurality of cards, such as credit cards, in shingled and partially exposed relationship to one another whereby a desired card can be readily selected and withdrawn.The billfold has a pair of flexible walls which are sewn together to form an envelope-like opening. One of the walls has affixed thereto a multi-card liner. The liner includes a support member which has at least two vertical slits extending from a bottom edge to provide a downwardly extending tongue member. A plurality of card-receiving leaves is then provided. Each of the leaves has a tongue-receiving slit extending in a horizontal direction. The leaves are strung along the tongue of the support member in a vertically aligned, partially overlapping array to form the integral liner of the invention having a series of single edge overlying cavities arranged in shingled relationship for the reception of cards.
