Abstract: The grip enhancing door knob cover covers the knob of a door and may facilitate turning the door knob to open the door. A convex front cover section and convex rear cover section may be coupled to a cylindrical center cover section to form a shell that surrounds the door knob. A front aperture may provide access to the front of the door knob to insert a key or manually move a locking device on the knob. A rear aperture provides an opening for the shank of the door knob to pass through. The grip enhancing door knob cover may be composed of natural or synthetic rubber, silicone rubber, or other polymers. In some embodiment, the inside wall of the center cover section may comprise texturing to enhance the frictional grip of the shell against the knob.

Abstract: A covering system includes a tarp made of an elastic membrane and a plurality of tarp fastening hooks. The fastening hooks allow the elastic membrane to be stretched over valuables and affixed to environmental anchors so that creases and puddle-enabling pockets in the membrane are eliminated. The fastening hooks clamp onto the elastic membrane and hook onto the environmental anchors to cause tension in the membrane. The clamping forces of the tarp fasteners are inherently increased in proportion to the tension in the clamped membrane.

Abstract: A head cover for a golf club includes a first surface having a removable cleaning pad thereon, and a second surface on which at least one golf accessory constructed of a ferrous metal is removably attached thereto. The second surface is part of a tri-layer construction with magnets forming the second middle layer so as to so retain the golf accessory thereon. The cleaning pad is removed by the golfer from the first surface and includes a scrubbing area to remove grit and/or debris from one of a golf ball and a golf club face.

Abstract: A sanitary shield for preventing direct contact of a user with an exterior surface of an elongated handle includes a flexible sheet having each of a predetermined width, a predetermined length and a predetermined thickness. The flexible sheet is formed from a flexible plastic material. A first row of interposed tabs and notches is formed in a first side edge of the flexible sheet and a second row of interposed tabs and notches is formed in a second side edge of the flexible sheet, whereby each tab in one row is aligned with a notch in an opposed row. The respectively aligned tabs and notched are interlocked with each other for firmly securing the flexible sheet onto the elongated handle, whereby the interlocking tabs and notches along with the first and second side edge lie within confines of the predetermined thickness of the flexible sheet. The sanitary cover may be also provided as a tubular member.

The anti-fomitic device comprises a sheet of a microorganism-impenetrable material comprising a first side and a second side, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive, such as, for example, a covering used in medical tape, covering at least a portion of the first side.

Abstract: A removable golf club grip protection device protects golf club grips against weather and other outdoor golf course elements that can damage golf club grips during play. The golf club grip protection device comprises an elongated tubular body having a first end and a second end, where the first end is open and the second end is closed. The first end includes an opening configured to slidingly receive one or more golf club grips within an interior portion of the tubular body, where the one or more grips are covered from exposure to outside elements. The tubular body can comprise a flexible material having at least a water-resistant outer surface. The tubular body can also be configured as lengthwise collapsible.

Abstract: A single-use disposable sanitary cover temporarily houses a handle of a shopping device or hospital cart. The disposable sanitary cover includes a flexible cylindrical sleeve having an elongated slit, and stabilizing means integrally associated therewith. The stabilizing means mitigates movement of cylindrical sleeve along the hospital cart's or shopping device's handle. The handle of the shopping device or hospital cart is received through the elongated slit and is housed within the cylindrical sleeve in order to mitigate the viral and germ contact between the handle of the shopping device or hospital cart and the shopper's or hospital worker's hands. Preferably, the disposable sanitary cover includes a tab member for removing the disposable sanitary cover from the handle of the shopping cart.

Abstract: Covers for a grip ring of a wheel chair are disclosed. According to certain embodiments of the invention, a two-piece cover is provided. The two-piece cover includes a soft, resilient inner pad and an outer sleeve enclosing the inner pad. According to other embodiments of the invention, a one-piece cover is disclosed. The one-piece cover includes a soft, resilient inner pad and an outer layer permanently attached to the inner pad. Both the one-piece and two-piece covers can be easily removed from or installed on the grip ring. The covers according to the present invention fit securely over wheelchair grip rings, providing a cushioned, enlarged gripping area for the wheelchair user. The covers improve the performance, feel and safety of grip rings.

Abstract: An adjustable portable protective cover for covering a shopping cart handle includes three elongated resilient tubular member telescoped together. The members include stops for retaining the members together in the fully extended position. The inner and outer members have a radially outwardly protuberance at a free end thereof. The members can be collapsed to a minimum length for storage and carrying. The members are formed of an easily cleaned material so that the cover can be reused.

Abstract: A luggage handle cover having a body portion with a first end, a second end, an inner side, and an outer side. The body portion has a length and width sufficient to substantially cover a luggage handle. The luggage handle cover also has a fastening mechanism coupled to the body portion to fasten the first end and the second end and an identification display disposed on the inner side of the body portion when the body portion is arranged to substantially cover a luggage handle.

Abstract: A composite article including a tubular body having a front end, a rear end, a peripheral wall extending between the front and rear ends, a wall support located rearwardly of the front end of the peripheral wall and at least one paragraph formed in the wall engaging support. An end cap is positioned on the front end of the tubular body to obstruct the wall engaging support except for at least a portion of at least one of the passages and to define a channel between the end cover and the peripheral wall. A plastic coating fills at least one passage in the channel and overlaps the cover to fasten the cover to the tubular body.

Abstract: A cover for transmission levers for vehicles that are pivotally mounted at one end and the distal end includes a handle. A sac assembly with a double liner covers the handle and with an engagement assembly at the opening of the sac assembly it is removably mounted over the handle. Another embodiment includes an engagement assembly that uses a threaded tubular member that is removably mounted to the threaded distal end of the lever. In both embodiments a compartment is provided with granular material contained therein. A relatively soft object results with still sufficient rigid characteristics to transmit the force applied by a user to shift the gears. The sac assembly also provides desirable gripping qualities to permit a user to dissipate his anxiety and stress.

Abstract: An adjustable fitted cover for household items comprising a sheet of pliable material further comprising a bag-like structure with an opening. The opening has a continuous edge which is folded and stitched to form a channel along the edge of the opening. A closure, such as a drawstring or elastic ribbon, is enclosed within the channel for securably adjusting said cover on the household item. The material used may be of various colors, patterns, and textures so as to complement any decor. Additionally, the cover may be dimensioned and configured to accommodate various sizes and types of household items, including but not limited to frames, vases and doors. The cover may also employ a hook and loop fastener system to allow the use of interchangeable displays. Furthermore, assorted sizes and shapes of covers may be grouped together for use as a coordinating kit.

Abstract: A sterile disposable plastic cover for a handle of an operating room fixture such as a cylindrical handle for a light fixture is disclosed. The cover includes a hollow member which is open at one end and includes a hand guard. The open end is partially restricted with a retention member which permits the handle of the operating fixture to extend through the open end of the hollow member and holds it in place. Preferably, the retention member is a disc which includes a pair of intersecting slits which define an opening smaller than the opened end of the hollow member.

Abstract: A doorknob cover that defeats facile rotation of a doorknob. Two layers of cloth or other low friction material are placed in juxtaposition with one another and joined at their respective outermost peripheral edges. A second attachment is made between the materials just radially inwardly of the outermost peripheral edge to form a toroidal cavity to receive a drawstring. The device is placed over a doorknob and the opposite ends of the drawstrings are tied together tightly so that the device cannot be removed from the doorknob unless the knot is first untied. Young children are unable to rotate a doorknob covered by the device due to the double layer of cloth and the low frictional engagement between the inner piece of cloth and the doorknob.
