Abstract: A sheet laminating apparatus with an instant heat control function includes a first cylindrical roller, a second cylindrical roller, a first long metal sheet, a first heat-generating case, a second long metal sheet, a second heat-generating case, a contact sensor and a controller. The first long metal sheet and the second long metal sheet are very thin and small, so that the temperature is quickly changed. By using the contact sensor to detect the surface temperature of the first cylindrical roller under control of the controller, the instant heat control function of the sheet laminating apparatus is achieved.

When the surface roughness of the adherend 1 is small, by heating the heat-sensitive adhesive layer 2a with small thermal energy, a viscosity of the adhesive is increased to thereby prevent the heat-sensitive adhesive sheet 2 from sliding and being peeled. The surface roughnesses of the adherends 1 may be classified for each material of the adherends 1, and the classified surface roughnesses may be judged according to each material of the adherends 1 to thereby determine the thermal energy.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus of wood pressing usable in manufacturing glued laminated wood such as laminated veneer lumber (LVL) using a number of wood veneer sheets are disclosed. A hot press used for wood pressing includes a pair of heating plates which are disposed one above the other and have pressing surfaces facing each other. The paired heating plates are both movable toward and away from each other. In operation, firstly one of the heating plates is moved toward the other heating plate to a position where the pressing surface of the one heating plate is spaced from a surface to which a veneer sheet is to be glued by a distance corresponding to the thickness of the veneer sheet. Then, the other heating plate is moved toward the one heating plate until a desired pressure is produced pressing.

Abstract: Devices and methods for inflating and sealing packaging pillows from a material web are shown for consistently producing high-quality packaging pillows. A web of material is advanced past an inflation nozzle, inflated with gas, and sealed closed by a sealing element. The temperature of the sealing element is monitored using a thermocouple connection and automatically adjusted using a closed-loop system. A sealing clamp parallel to the sealing element maintains two sheets of the web in contact through the sealing step. The inflation nozzle is provided with two inflation outlets: a first outlet inserting gas longitudinally into the web of material, and a second outlet inserting gas laterally into the material. Gas input is controlled with the use of relief valves to maintain pillow quality at all stages of production.
