Abstract: A manually movable trolley contains a basket for receiving goods and a tube connected to the basket. The tube has a first tube section which is at a distance from the basket and extends substantially parallel to the rear side of the basket, the tube section forming a handlebar for the shopping trolley. Respective second tube sections border on both sides of the first tube section and in the second tube sections the pipe bends towards the shopping trolley. Third tube sections border on each second tube section, and in the third tube sections the tube extends in a straight line. Fourth tube sections border on each third tube section, and in the fourth tube sections the tube bends at least substantially downwards. The second tube sections contain a sleeve that partially surrounds the periphery of the tube, and the sleeve has a separate handle that projects upward from the handlebar.

Abstract: A portable power drill (11) is disclosed having a chuck or drill collar (14) at one end and a substantially cylindrical (or frusto-conical) twist throttle handle (25, 125, 225) at the other end. Rotation of the handle in the direction of forward rotation of the chuck decreases the drill speed and, conversely, rotation of the handle in the direction of reverse rotation of the chuck increases the drill speed. Consequently, in the event of an auger locked in the chuck becoming jammed, the reaction forces experienced by the drill unit rotate the drill unit in a direction such that throttle decreases the drill speed. In addition, the drill unit is provided with forward (44) and reverse gears (45) and a forward/reverse selection mechanism (48, 50, 51) which is actuated by a forward force, or a withdrawing force respectively being applied to the drill unit via an operator who holds the handles (20, 25) of the drill unit.

Abstract: A self-sanitizing door handle includes a housing, a drive motor within the housing, and a pull engaged with the drive motor such that the drive motor causes the pull to rotate. The pull includes a portion within the housing and a portion external to the housing. A sanitizing solution reservoir within the housing contains a sanitizing solution, and the pull rotates through the sanitizing solution in the sanitizing solution reservoir when the drive motor is activated. The sanitizing solution reservoir includes a seal that scrapes excess sanitizing solution and bacterial particulates from the pull when the pull exits the sanitizing solution reservoir. An ultraviolet (UV) light source within the housing exposes the pull to UV light at least while the drive motor is activated. A power source configured to provide energy to the drive motor and UV light source.

Abstract: A flexible plastic strip to cover a handle such as, for example, that common to a conventional shopping cart to prevent a shopper's hands from coming into direct contact with the handle. According to a preferred embodiment, a pair of strip holders are detachably connected in surrounding engagement to the handle. The strip holders are spaced from one another and slidable along the handle. Each of the pair of strip holders has a hook projecting therefrom. The ends of the flexible strip are attached to the pair of strip holders at respective ones of the hooks thereof. Abstract: My match handle allows the application of a match to places difficult to reach. It accomplishes this while also improving safety and reducing waste. The match handle prevents the flame from traveling to the user's hand. This nearly eliminates the risk of being burned by the match flame. Waste is reduced as the handle is re-useable. It can also operate with a shorter than conventional match. These factors result in less material being disposed of with each use. My match handle also incorporates a safe, efficient, and clean way to eject a match once used. The user does not need to reposition ones grip to eject the match. When the detent of the blade and a lock protrusion of the slider both depart from the resilient rod of the positioning frame, the spring may further pull the slider to move together with the blade to stretch out the blade.

Abstract: A chef's knife with a weight-adjustable handle may have a cutting component and a handle, the handle having an end cap and an internal handle assembly. The internal handle assembly may be located in a cavity defined by the outer housing and may include a tubular member and at least one weight connected thereto. The at least one weight may be movable within the handle and/or adjustable in magnitude by removal from the handle after opening of the closure portion and removal of the internal handle assembly. The weight and/or weight distribution of the handle and the knife may therefore be adjusted. To cut with the forward portion of the blade, the weight may be moved forward. To cut with the rear portion of the blade, the weight may be moved rearward. The knife may also be converted from a lightweight knife to a heavy style knife and vice versa.
