  • Patent number: 7681702
Abstract: A main bag (3) stands independently and moves via free swiveling caster wheels 1 at four corners. A free swiveling caster wheel (1) is provided with a wheel (6), a yoke (7) connected to the wheel in a manner allowing the wheel to rotate, a radial bearing (8) with its outer ring (8B) connected to the yoke, a swivel shaft (9) connected to the inner ring (8A) of the radial bearing, and a mount (10) which holds the upper end of the swivel shaft fixed. The rotation axis (11) of the wheel is disposed with eccentricity with respect to the swivel axis (m), which is the center of rotation of the swivel shaft, allowing the yoke to swivel. The yoke and mount have a bend prevention gap (15) established between mutually opposing surfaces in close proximity. When a bending impact load acts on the swivel shaft, the yoke and mount press against each other at the bend prevention gap to support the bending impact force.

  • Patent number: 6475086
Abstract: The necessity for spontaneously transmitting each individual wager from a remote terminal or terminals to a host computer in a computerized lottery system is completely eliminated. As a result, the total amount of data transmitted between the remote terminals and the host computer is substantially reduced. This reduces the consequent cost of transmission and enhances the number of economically viable transmission alternatives. A total number of sequential plays is conveyed from the remote terminal or terminals to the host computer. Pseudo-random wager numbers and serial numbers associated with each of the plays is reconstructed at the host computer from the total number of sequential plays. The reduced data exchange facilitates novel methods of data transfer, such as satellite packet transmission and cellular service.

  • Patent number: 6081964
Abstract: A grommet is provided to prevent water, having entered through a fine clearance between a locking recess of the grommet and the edge of a through hole formed in a panel, from entering a first or passenger compartment. A jaw portion 3 or groove 30 is formed on or in the conical outer surface of a tapered tube portion 2 between an outer panel 6 and an inner panel 7. The jaw portion 3 or groove 30 blocks the water having entered through a clearance between a through hole 6a formed in the outer panel 6 and a locking recess 2a and trying to run toward a narrow tube portion 1 and causes it to fall down. Accordingly, the entered water falls down between the outer panel 6 and the inner panel 7 without entering the first or passenger compartment inside the inner panel 7.

  • Patent number: 5836048
Abstract: The larger of the two flanges in a grommet contains a tip portion that extends back toward the other tapered flange and overlies the circumferential slot between the two flanges to define a grommet having application to panels of a variety of thicknesses. The tip portion elastically bends, upon installing the grommet in a panel, responsive to force exerted by a side wall of the panel. It exerts an elastic reaction force pressing on a side of the panel. Concurrently it pulls the other tapered flange into contact with the opposed surface of the panel through elastic force exerted through the grommets midsection. This seals the flanges against the panel's sides, notwithstanding a circumferential slot width greater than the panel's thickness and notwithstanding a panel mounting hole having a greater diameter than the bottom surface of that slot. A fire resistant layer is integrally formed or applied in that outer surface of the grommet containing the larger flange.

When pressed into the outer cylinder 10 in this state, even when the elastic wall 40 deforms elastically by fluid pressure, since a contact portion with the elastic block 20 around the elastic wall 40 is moveable, the internal pressure rise is suppressed and the concentration of stress is relieved, thus low-action spring and high attenuation characteristics are obtained and durability is improved.
