Abstract: A hinge, for automatically-closing a door which opens in both directions, includes a cylinder (2); an operating rod (3) to be rotatable and restricted from moving in the longitudinal direction; two substantially V-shaped grooves (33) provided on an outer periphery of the operating rod (3) in the cylinder (2) to oppose to each other; two spheres (55) provided engage the substantially V-shaped grooves (33); an upper piston (5) engaged with the spheres (55); a compression coil spring (4) disposed between the upper piston (5) and an upper end portion of the cylinder (2) and configured to urge the upper piston (5) to the other end side of the cylinder (2), and a fluid pressure shock absorbing mechanism configured to absorb a shock caused by the movement of the upper piston 5 to the other end side with a liquid pressure.
Abstract: An automatic door closing hinge is configured in such a manner that first balls (43) are engaged with a first cam groove (35) formed on an outer peripheral surface of an operating rod in a cylinder (2) at opposed positions so as to have a substantially V-shape at opposed positions thereof, the first balls (43) are engaged with a compression ring (4) urged downward by a compression coil spring (5), the movement of the first balls (43) with respect to the first cam groove (35) is in conjunction with the movement of the compression ring, second balls (65) are engaged with a second cam groove (36) formed under the first cam groove (35) and having substantially the same shape as the first cam groove (35), the second balls (65) are engaged with the piston (6), the movement of the second balls (65) with respect to the second cam groove (36) is in conjunction with the movement of the piston, and air on the lower side of the piston (6) in the cylinder is gradually flowed out according to the movement of the piston.

Abstract: A door assembly for pivotally securing a door to an animal enclosure or other enclosure. The door assembly comprises a pivot pin assembly integrally formed with the door and a hinge secured to the enclosure adjacent the opening. The pivot pin assembly preferably comprises a vertically oriented pivot pin integrally formed with upper and lower horizontal support members extending from upper and lower ends of the pivot pin across a portion of the door. The pivot pin is fitted within a hinge barrel formed within the hinge in a manner to permit the pivot pin to rotate within the barrel such that the door may be pivoted from an open to a closed position.
Abstract: A hinge assembly (1) is described for the articulated connection of a vertically opening panel (2) to a furniture element (3) between a closing position and an opening position in which the panel (2) is at least partially lifted with respect to the hinge assembly (1) and to the furniture element (3). More specifically, the hinge assembly (1) comprises: —a supporting base (6); —a lifting lever (7) operatively connected to the panel (2) and hinged to the supporting base (6) about a pivoting axis (P1-P1) between the closing and opening positions of the panel (2); —a balancing device (10) acting on the lifting lever (7) to at least partially counterbalance the weight of the panel (2) during rotation of the lever (7) about the pivoting axis (P1-P1). According to the invention, in the mounting position of the hinge assembly (1) the pivoting axis (P1-P1) of the lifting lever (7) and the balancing device (10) are positioned above an upper surface (4a) of the furniture element (3).
Abstract: An apparatus for preventing a motor rolling door from falling includes a wedge shaped sliding plate located at one side of a driven sprocket, which is biased away from the driven sprocket by means of two actuating rods forced by two springs. Two rollers at the outer ends of two actuating rods push against the inner surfaces of the upper and lower stringers of the drive chain to keep the sliding plate away from the driven sprocket. When the drive chain is broken, the two actuating rods extend outward due to the action of the springs, and bias the wedge sliding plate toward the driven sprocket to engage with the driven sprocket, so that the rolling door is prevented from falling by its own weight.
Abstract: The suspension of a door hinged within a frame for swinging movements in a horizontal plane includes a suspension member with blocks secured upon its ends, with spaced apertures within the frame and door and with blocks projected into said apertures and supportably interlocked with the frame and door.
