  • Patent number: 10344523
Abstract: A track-guided power door operator used to simultaneously open a set of opposing hinged doors is disclosed. The door operator comprises a pair of articulated arm linkages, each pair of which is pivotally mounted at one end to a vertically oriented pivot pin at one end of a guide member and pivotally connected at the other end to a vertically oriented pivot pin of a yoke member of a translating carriage, which is engaged by a horizontal lead screw. Translation of the carriage member due to rotation of the lead screw causes lateral separation between the knuckles of the articulated arm pairs to cause doors contacted by the knuckles to rotate about their respective hinges. The door operator may include a control unit to control operation of the doors. The operator may further include magnetic latches to lock the doors closed.

  • Patent number: 8261382
Abstract: A bed frame having the functionality of providing varying degrees of elevation to moveable head-rest and back-support sections of the bed frame. Adjustable arms couple a pivotal section of the frame of slats with a front rail panel. The pivotal section of the frame of slats is positioned in the head-rest and back-support sections of the bed frame. Since the pivotal section of the frame of slats is configurable to be tilted, the adjustable arms may be used to tilt the pivotal section of the frame of slats and hence tilt the head-rest and back-support sections of the bed frame to varying degrees of elevation.

  • Patent number: 6173476
Abstract: A hinge assembly for a box having a base and a cover and comprising a hinge section and a spring section. The hinge section has a pair of segments pivotally mounted to each other. Each segment has outer channel-forming knuckles extending from its outer side edge. The spring section has channel-forming knuckles which extend from each side edge which are pivotally mounted to the outer knuckles of the hinge section. The spring section applies pressure to the two segments of the hinge section in order to maintain the segments of the hinge section into conductive contact with each other and prevent inadvertent folding or unfolding of the segments of the hinge section, thereby preventing inadvertent opening or closing of the box. The outer knuckles of the hinge section and the knuckles of the spring section are pivotally connected together.

  • Patent number: 4670939
Abstract: A hydro-magnetic door hold open device. A piston on a piston rod is slideably mounted in a cylinder that is mounted eccentrically inside a housing. The piston rod extends out of the housing and connects to a hingedly mounted door so that opening or closing of the door effects reciprocation of the piston within the cylinder. Both the housing and the cylinder within it are filled with hydraulic fluid. A ball valve positioned forwardly of the piston is confined within a valve chamber that has three seats; the inner cylinder is provided with apertures on the rearward side of the piston and forwardly of the valve chamber so that the ball valve is carried by the fluid into either of two of the seats attendant piston advancement or retraction and maintained in such seat by a pressure differential established in the fluid by the travel of the piston.
